Wanted: Bobby Drake Fire and Ice! I absolutely love the relationship between these two and the complex dynamic of it! From meeting at Xavier's School to being on opposite sides! And then of course that deleted scene of Bobby carrying an unconscious Pyro off the battlefield at the end of the 3 movie! There is so much potential between these 2 all the way from canon plots, to AUs and everything in between . . . I'm game for it all! Would love for someone to take this awesome charrie so that the Iceman and Pyro shenanigans can begin!

Pyro setting: genosha timeline: au notes: none!
| Pyro watched Magda as she approached him and he could already see on her face, that something was wrong. He wasn't exactly a touchy feely sort of person but he didn't pull from her touch when she placed her hand on his shoulder. Her words however, caused him to freeze. His mother was dead. Pyro wasn't sure how to react. He knew the normal reaction was to cry; it was after all his mother. But he had shut his feelings off towards her for so long . . . anger, bitterness and resentment replacing love, affection and care. He abruptly stood up and casually shrugged his shoulders, putting his hands in his pocket as nonchalantly as he could. As if the news had not just been devastating. "I'm not," he stated when she offered her condolences by saying she was sorry.
"She's already been dead to me for a long time." He knew the words were harsh, and he purposely made them so. Because just as it always had been, it was a defence mechanism. A way to shut himself off from truly opening the dam of emotions and the onslaught of sadness that threatened to take him over. He knew his family had given up on him long before he had them . . . but they had been alive. There was a strange comfort in that, despite the hypocrisy when it came to his hatred of homo sapiens. But now hearing that she was no longer alive . . . he found himself fighting back the seemingly normal reaction of crying.

Pyro setting: the city timeline: genocide au notes: none!
| Son of a bitch! Once one found you, they all came in a swarm. Pyro had been on the ground floor, helping with the route out for the others while the rest of the team was distracting the Sentinels. They were seemingly impossible to kill, but the best they could do was stall them. Pyro was creating whatever diversion he could to clear the path until the mutants who had been hiding out were safely outside of the warehouse. "Keep going and don't stop!" He instructed them and the mutant who was leading them to . . . safety. Safety. The word itself was an impossible place, considering the state of the world. As Pyro stood outside the warehouse, he could see 3 more Sentinels making their way towards them.
Cursing under his breath, he flicked his flamethrower on, extending both palms of his hand and shooting a massive chain of fire towards the metal monster. He morphed it so that it took physical forms of a firey rope, restraining one of the sentinels and Pyro increased the heat level as much as he could. It would hold him for the few moments he would need to get back in there, and get everyone out. Running inside, he announced "We're surrounded!" His eyes searched the crowd to see who was left . . . who was still alive. Resting on Lorna, he continued. "Time to go!" And just as he said it, the walls broke as two Sentinels broke through into the warehouse.

Pyro setting: the city timeline: au notes: none!
| Tonight was shaping up to be a damn good night. Pyro along with some others were in the city and with that, came drinks. He wasn't entirely drunk yet -- slowly getting there -- but the plan of going to an underground club would certainly solidify that. Hell, even Nina had come out and seemed to join right in. Truth be told, he hadn't seen this side of her before. And it was a good side to see, just watching her let loose and let the drinks flow . . . through her system apparently.
At least she was keeping up and it hadn't turned into needing to babysit her. He had just taken another shot before putting his pool cue back on the rack. "Hey Nina, you coming?" He asked her, wondering if she was coming to the club or was going to call it a night. Most of them were going and since it didn't seem Nina got a lot of nights on the town like this, hopefully she would join them.

Pyro setting: genosha timeline: au notes: none!
| Pyro was currently sitting on the edge of Nina's bed, his leg slightly bouncing from nervousness. He had gone from pacing to sitting to pacing back to sitting. Anxious, was an understatement. She was currently in there to determine whether there was something growing inside of her, and Pyro in the meantime, was inwardly freaking out. It had been a drunken night and sure, it had been a damn good one -- from what he remembered -- but the fact that it had just meant to happen once. And that it was Nina of all people. Hell, Pyro didn't even know who to be more afraid of: Magneto or Lorna. Either way, he was screwed.
That is, if she was positive. If the test was negative then he knew they could all move on from this. And the waiting . . . well yeah, that was what was killing him. The waiting. Didn't the results come in a few minutes? Why did it feel like hours? He couldn't wait any longer. Standing up and making his way to the door he paused before clenching his hand into a fist and lightly knocking on it. "Nina?" He asked. He could have sworn he heard something and pressing his ear by the door, could make out quiet sobs. Was she crying because it was negative or positive?!

Pyro setting: genosha timeline: tbd notes: none!
| Pyro rolled his eyes when she talked about her bull shit detector. Damn. He had been hoping to sneak away before she even noticed he was missing. "Don't you have patrol or training or something?" He asked, not even hopeful that she would be occupied with either of those things since she wouldn't be standing here talking to him if she was. Usually when either of them were late, it was because they were up to something together.
He casually walked past her, trying to ignore what she was saying and attempting to be as casual as possible. "I'm just going out for a bit," he repeated. "It's no big deal, relax," he added, purposely not looking at her. "I don't get all up in your business when you have plans with someone." He tried to think of the last time that happened, where they went separate ways for the night, especially when going to the city. After all, Chaos and Mayhem went well together.

Pyro setting: the city timeline: post dark phoenix notes: none!
| Pyro could practically feel the tension with Lorna and his . . . date? He didn't even know what the hell to call him anymore. Pyro didn't exactly develop deep romantic relationships. But, this guy was the closest one he had in a long time. Since the school. Getting too close and potentially getting burned -- figuratively speaking -- was always in the back of Pyro's mind. But right now, he was enjoying his company, for the most part. The two had gone to play pool in what Pyro assumed was supposed to be a date, only Lorna came along which made it less of a date and more of friends hanging out. He could tell Jackson was not too pleased with that though.
The way his mood shifted, and the way he was short in conversation. Pyro knew this hadn't been the first time Lorna had . . . joined them. Pyro knew better than to say no to her. Besides, he wasn't even sure he wanted to. Pyro was taking a drink of his beer when Jackson walked up to him, saying that they needed to talk. Well, even Pyro wasn't that much of an idiot that he didn't know what it meant. "Sounds serious," he said jokingly, trying to play it off, but the other male's expression was unmoved. So Pyro tried to put his serious face on. "You wanna talk here or outside?" He asked, wondering just how serious and dramatic this was going to get.

Pyro was drifting in and out of sleep. Whatever this sickness was had hit him hard . . . just like it had everyone else. He could hear the familiar voices of Lorna and probably the doctor from the way he spoke, but it sounded distant. More distant than it actually was. He tried to open his eyes, though they felt heavy. As if it took energy and strength that he didn't have to do such a simple action. When he heard her words, far closer and from the content . . . clearly directed at him, he knew she was close. Very close. "I always knew you'd be the death of me," he replied with joking sarcasm. The threat stemmed from concern and even Pyro knew that. He felt the cool rag upon him and had to admit, it felt good. The cooling sensation battling his burning fever. Ironic, for a pyrokinetic.
When he opened his eyes he noticed her hand on him and jerked away from it. Not because it was an unwanted touch, but because he had belatedly realized the repercussions of her being so close. And suddenly, clarity of the doctor's words rung in his mind. "Get out," he told her, his own concern starting to show though too weak to add any more strength to the words. "This thing is contagious." Surely she knew that. "Last thing I need is you blaming me for getting sick too." Another teasing remark but . . . truth was, he didn't want her to get sick. He didn't want her to feel this same horrible feeling; be in this same unwell state he was in. Others had died from it and though he wouldn't admit it, Pyro was scared that he would be one of those worst case victims.

There was a very specific reason that Pyro was asking that question. Alcohol served as the catalyst no doubt, because he doubted he would be asking this question if he was completely sober . . . but recent news had been on his mind. News of his mother's death. He still didn't know how he felt about it. Numbed to the fact perhaps. Or deep down, emotions of sadness. He just . . . didn't know how to feel. What to feel. But when Lorna grabbed his beer and dropped it to the ground, he sure as hell felt annoyed. "I was still drinking that," he said as he helplessly watched the bottle shatter on the ground, spilling the contents within. He couldn't even get revenge because she dropped her own bottle. But then, she spoke. And what she said was a lot more than he had expected. He looked at her, though she seemed to be avoiding eye contact with him. Truth was, his heart went out to her. He wasn't one to pity another, but he did feel . . . sad for her. Abuse wasn't something he could relate to. Physical abuse anyway. Perhaps a bit of neglect, but his parents had never beat him or resorted to alcohol or drugs.
It made him wish he could have done something to help her. It just further reinforced his hate for humans. Most of them seemed to be the same. He too stayed silent after she spoke, processing her words. Absorbing them. "It's their loss," he said with a shrug, casually. "Humans are assholes. Imagine if they could see you now." And how powerful she was. He'd like to see her asshat of a dad try to lay a hand on her. He would sooner lose it, and if not by Lorna, then by Pyro. When she turned the question on him, he too fell silent before answering. He didn't even have his beer to stall with. "She was scared of me," he answered, keeping the emotions from his voice. "My whole family was." His mother, father, brother and sister. "They didn't know how to act around me so they just, pretended like I wasn't there." Nonchalant words but they held a depth to them. He paused again, his gaze falling to nothing at particular in front of him.

Pyro knew he was late but he had become . . . thoroughly distracted. It hadn't exactly been planned but when one thing led to another, time was the last thing on his mind. He wasn't usually late. Hell, he'd gotten a lot better. And surely, Lorna would cover for him enough for him to make it there. But these thoughts were not what were foremost on his mind. He was too busy pleasuring someone that he still getting to know. Pyro didn't exactly delve too deep into romantic partnerships. Not after his past. But this, this was all surface level and damn fun. Feeling the other male getting closer, Pyro's mouth moved over him again and again and . . . abruptly pulled away when the door flung open and an all too familiar voice yelled at him. Well, shit. She was pissed! And it wasn't even the fact that he was sucking someone off. He knew her well enough to know why she may be pissed. He glanced around the room as everything started moving, the other mutant scrambling to pull up his underwear and close up his pants, an action that Pyro was mirroring. When she left, Pyro quickly turned around to look back at the other. "Go out the window," he instructed him, while grabbing his jacket. "She's going to kill you," he said with concern, his eyes having widened at the chaos of the room and the state she had left it in. Whether she had control over it or not. Pyro looked at him, unphased. "No man. She's going to kill you." Because, Pyro knew Lorna. And knew what she was like. And knew full well which one of the two was going to get her wrath. "Go," he urged, motioning to the window before he took a deep breath. Running his hands over his hair to settle where the other's fingers had been running through it, Pyro quickly stepped out, fixing his jacket and walking right past Lorna. "Let's go." His words a bit too casual, but was clearly in a rush to get out, and avoid eye contact from her. She's not only seen him naked . . . but had seen him pleasuring someone and seen that that someone, had demanded his attention. Oh yeah. John knew that Lorna was pissed.

Pyro couldn't help but smirk and slightly chuckle at the other mutant. This wasn't the first time that Bobby acted all . . . hesitant about things. And John was well aware of how his comment only fuelled it. Vocalized it. Grabbing a hoodie, he quickly pulled it over him before offering his hand to pull the other mutant up on his feet. Though he wasn't about to say it . . . deep down, he hated that Bobby always felt the need to flee. Always felt hurried to get out before being confronted with what had happened. Hell, Pyro hadn't even known how he longed for that . . . companionship. That feeling of just waking up next to someone, until this whole scenario came about, and had happened on more than one occasion.
"Nice shirt," he said with a bit of sarcasm and teasing. Considering, it was his own shirt. And, to voice the fact that he was wearing it. Verbal acknowledgement if only to further point out the circumstance and . . . what Pyro perceived as Bobby's failed attempt to exit before he woke up. "So now that it's too late to make a run for it without me noticing, you wanna tell me how you wound up in the closest?" Another sarcastic remark, though once again, deep down, Pyro hoped he did. Now, he wasn't one to get into these deep conversations about emotions and all that crap . . . but he wanted to see where Bobby's head was at. And whether he was still swimming in the sea of denial.

Not nearly enough. That had Pyro concerned for the others. People he had allied himself with. Some of which he even called friend. As, interesting as that term was. And now they might all be dead. Optimism wasn't exactly one of Pyro's strong suits, but he knew that once he was out of here . . . he would have to go on the hunt and see who all survived the battle. At least on the other side. He had a feeling he'd get a good sense of which X-Men survived after being in this school for, well what he hoped wasn't long at all. As Bobby said though, Jean was dead, and Wolverine wasn't around. Pyro quickly became focused on the mutant's next words; reason as to why he had saved him. He knew Bobby was telling the truth; that he didn't want him to die. His actions had proved everything on the contrary.
He could have iced him instead of knocking him out. He could have left him there instead of bringing him here. But acknowledging that, just like acknowledging the truth behind Bobby's next words, felt a little too . . . deep. Felt far too reminiscent of what all had happened between them. It was the only thing that prevented John from blurting out that he wouldn't have actually killed him, despite his attempt to. To admit that, would be admitting too much. Emotions that John had long since buried. Or at least he thought. "Well you could have just left me there," he said casually, trying not to read into the words too much or at least let the conversation steer in that direction.
"I'm sure it would have been easier than bringing me here. Can't imagine that went down well with the others." Considering he'd left, joined the opposite side, and actively engaged in a war between them. "Besides," he began to say, attempting to sit up a little more. "Since when did you start doing what you want." As he stated, he didn't want him to die. The words both a question and a statement. Despite John's attempt to leave emotions out of it, he knew there was a hint of bitterness in there due to . . . well, their past. But the words were open to interpretation and how Bobby would actually take them. Pyro wasn't entirely certain. Either way, he'd meant them as a jab. It was far easier to do then to actually thank the other for saving his life.

Pyro rolled his eyes a little at the mention of what Scott could do. "I'd like to see him try," he scoffed, clear arrogance in his voice. But, truth was, Pyro knew Bobby was right. The X-Men were properly trained. They knew the extent of their powers and had full control over it. John, while hating to admit it, was still learning the extent of his. He hoped to reach that point one day, but also felt like this school wasn't the best place to do that. Even if right now, it was the only place. They just . . . were too damn slow for his own liking and his patience grew thinner with each passing day. Still. He had a reason or two to stay. He'd found connections here that kept him in place and often stilled thoughts of running away. One such connection was currently across from him. At his friend's next words -- or accusation -- Pyro's smirk returned as he looked at him.
"Exactly. I gotta balance out your goody two shoes, teacher pet attitude." A clear tease towards his friend. Their powers weren't the only opposite things about them. Their entire personalities were too. And John couldn't resist any opportunity to mock his friend's good standing with the others, and good work habits. Which, also landed him a strong sense of satisfaction when he had dumped his papers onto the floor, rather unapologetic about it despite Bobby's reaction. "You're lucky I didn't burn them," he said, pulling out his lighter with an amused smile, flipping the cap of it open and shut. Really, it was just meant to casually serve as a distraction considering the closer proximity they were at. Pyro had not failed to notice the looks, casual touches that were suddenly not feeling so casual. Perhaps it was the alcohol soaking in, but whatever the reason, he nonchalantly avoided eye contact, looking at his lighter -- which wasn't uncommon -- and waited for Bobby to be on the bed before meeting his gaze again.
Feeling rather proud and smug that he could lighten his friend's mood by making him laugh, amidst his stress of exams. "Oh please. You know you're gonna ace it. Well, you better anyway. Who else am I going to copy off of?" He asked, jokingly. Truth was, he did fine on exams, with minimal studying. He just hated getting that lecture from the professors. How he was smart and had so much potential blah blah blah . . . yet he constantly found himself in trouble. It was boredom. Pure boredom. He didn't often study and did well enough, but the whole crap on what he could achieve if he applied himself in regards to his behaviour . . . well, he was over it. "Storm even suggested I study with you to develop good work habits," he said, clear mockery in the latter part of his statement as he very consciously used Ororo's mutant name. "So, considering this us studying. Only, we're studying the content of alcohol and how long a bottle of scotch takes to lower our inhibitions." Pushing off the desk he walked up to where Bobby was, taking the bottle from him to take another particularly large gulp of the drink.

Last night had been insane, and as John rejoined the conscious world -- mostly against his will -- he could feel the severe aftermath of a night of intense partying and drinking. He groaned as he rolled over in his bed, feeling as if someone was taking a hammer and hitting him in the temples repeatedly. It wasn't a foreign feeling to the mutant, but it wasn't one he experienced every night. And last night, had been particularly intense. He was still trying to piece it together but when he groggily opened his eyes, and saw no one lying next to him . . . well, that was interesting. He could have sworn he didn't come back to his room alone. He could feel the breeze from his lack of shirt, and quickly peeking under the blanket to see he had shorts on . . . what the hell had even happened last night?! Prepared to pull the pillow over his head to cast out the morning light and go back to sleep, a sound coming from his room prevented him from doing so.
Alert, he jolted into an upright position, inwardly cursing at himself for the abrupt action as it only made the pain in his head intensify. He noticed his closet was more than half open and that same curiosity, peaked enough for Pyro to drag himself out of bed and walk those few steps over. Pulling the door fully open he saw him. Bobby. It seemed his friend was also waking up and all Pyro could think of was how the hell had had gotten into his closet?! "Well, this gives a whole new meaning to coming out of the closet." He knew it was a touchy subject for Bobby, but John didn't exactly have a filter. Besides, he hated uncomfortable silences and he feared that was what would follow when Bobby realized he was standing there . . . and that his friend was quite literally, in the closet. His closet.
