Despite all the missions of the Brotherhood, training, and everything that required them to fight for mutant rights . . . they were still young adults. And they weren't getting any younger. That's why Pyro was currently going where he was. A few nights ago a few of them had gone to an underground mutant nightclub and he had met someone there. Yes. He had met a woman. And it had gone pretty well. So much so that he was currently meeting her for a drink. Bringing women back wasn't exactly an easy thing to do, so if it went well . . . Pyro would be spending the night in the city. Checking himself one more time in the mirror, he pulled on his jacket, flicked a bit of his styled hair to the side, and made sure his flame thrower was on. But this, this was the least stressful part of meeting here. There was one person in particular he was trying to avoid. Not only because he had no idea how she would react, but also because he doubted he would hear the end of it. Taking a deep breath, he exited his place and made his way down the path. No sooner had her name entered his mind that he had nearly collided right into her! "Damn it, Polaris!" He said, completely caught off guard and . . . well, having jumped a little at her unexpected presence lurking out here. "You scared the shit out of me." And once he was over that, he would need to think of an excuse as to where he was going . . . and why he wasn't taking her with him.

Lorna wasn't stealthy. It wasn't even in her human-skills to be stealthy. She had literally stood here in her yoga pants and tank, eating cheese-its from a bright red solo cup when he creeper up on her acting shady and nearly flipped out. The proceeded to act like it was her fault. Turning her palm up she gave him a 'WTF' look. "They say people with guilty conscious scare more easy." She muttered dryly, and then went back to her eating while staring at him through narrowed eyes.
Was he heading out? He was too dressed up. What gives? "Were ya going?" She asked, cutting the bull shit and going right in to what she wanted to know. Lorna knew she wasn't a cake walk. She knew that sometimes people tended to tiptoe around her. While she'd mellowed out some under Magneto's training, her life had lead her to some really nasty coping strategies, and they tended to give her a resting bitch mood--while others just had a face. Thankfully, Pyro had always been one to give as good as he gets. She didn't have to dial down or mind her meddles with him.

Pyro made a face at her seemingly intelligent words, clearly unimpressed or unphased by them. "People also say to mind your own business," he retorted, not bothering to think of anything overly smart to say back. He was still getting over the fact that she'd scared him half to death. And in some weird way, was trying to avoid her, not even sure how to explain where he was going. Lorna was his closest friend here, but that also made it . . . weird. "Out," he answered bluntly, knowing that trying to step around her wasn't going to work -- even though he did try and failed.
His answer was insufficient; she didn't even have to point that out. "I'm just going to meet a friend in the city," he admitted, making it sound as non chalant as possible. "And no, you can't come." Before she asked. It wasn't as if he was going to a club, or to a mission or anything like that. If he was, she would forever be his first choice to bring . . . then again, they often teamed up anyway. But his time, he was going solo, and for good reason.

Ignoring the begining of everything he said, Lorna only foucsed on what she wanted too. He had mouthed off but they both were used too that and expected it. They never got upset with mouthing off. So she just stood there not really moving while he added on. "I'm just going to meet a friend in the city," Ugh, she wasn't feeling the city tonight. "And no, you can't come." WHY NOT! Now she was damn well going! How dare he not let her come! What the hell was his issue!
You see this?" she asked while holding up her hand and the green plasma twisted around her fingers as a bit of metal came up and shook between them. "This s my bull shit detector. It shakes at bull shit." Dropping it Lorna looked at him. "We both know I am your only friend." WHICH was why she wanted to know what he was really doing in the city. She wanted to know how that he was really up too. "What are you really up too??" She demanded, her tone slightly annoyed.

Pyro setting: genosha timeline: tbd notes: none!
| Pyro rolled his eyes when she talked about her bull shit detector. Damn. He had been hoping to sneak away before she even noticed he was missing. "Don't you have patrol or training or something?" He asked, not even hopeful that she would be occupied with either of those things since she wouldn't be standing here talking to him if she was. Usually when either of them were late, it was because they were up to something together.
He casually walked past her, trying to ignore what she was saying and attempting to be as casual as possible. "I'm just going out for a bit," he repeated. "It's no big deal, relax," he added, purposely not looking at her. "I don't get all up in your business when you have plans with someone." He tried to think of the last time that happened, where they went separate ways for the night, especially when going to the city. After all, Chaos and Mayhem went well together.
