Lorna ran down the rickety steal bean of the wearhouse before getting tot he edge and jumping off. She landed with a hard thud, and stood up. Green plasma swerved around her fingers as she lifted the first two and used them to throw the bean she'd just jumped off of at the Sentinel. It speared it in the chest and pinned it to the wall--though she knew it wouldn't hold it. Moving her fingers differently, the beam bent and formed a U to lock it into place. While it wouldn't hold it, it would slow it down a lot!
The world had gone to hell, and Lorna was with a group that had been hiding out in the warehouse. They've been hiding here for a few days, but the Sentinels had found them. The group was a larger one, but a handful of mutants (the stronger ones) were staying and fighting them off so the others could get away.
If you had told Lorna that should would be acting as a hero before this happened, she'd have thrown the beam at someone. She wanted power--and now she just wanted to live. Wanted as many mutants to live as they could. She wanted to find a way to kill the metal beasts. TAG: John Allerdyce

Pyro setting: the city timeline: genocide au notes: none!
| Son of a bitch! Once one found you, they all came in a swarm. Pyro had been on the ground floor, helping with the route out for the others while the rest of the team was distracting the Sentinels. They were seemingly impossible to kill, but the best they could do was stall them. Pyro was creating whatever diversion he could to clear the path until the mutants who had been hiding out were safely outside of the warehouse. "Keep going and don't stop!" He instructed them and the mutant who was leading them to . . . safety. Safety. The word itself was an impossible place, considering the state of the world. As Pyro stood outside the warehouse, he could see 3 more Sentinels making their way towards them.
Cursing under his breath, he flicked his flamethrower on, extending both palms of his hand and shooting a massive chain of fire towards the metal monster. He morphed it so that it took physical forms of a firey rope, restraining one of the sentinels and Pyro increased the heat level as much as he could. It would hold him for the few moments he would need to get back in there, and get everyone out. Running inside, he announced "We're surrounded!" His eyes searched the crowd to see who was left . . . who was still alive. Resting on Lorna, he continued. "Time to go!" And just as he said it, the walls broke as two Sentinels broke through into the warehouse.
