He hated being called John. He, unlike her, still had his powers so he should rightfully be called Pyro; not the name his human parents had given him to help conform him to what was considered normal in society. Something else he had learned from Magneto. Apart from the wrong calling of his name, her tone seemed strong and unwilling to admit defeat; as if she was encouraging him to keep doing what he could to break her down. All he was doing was speaking the truth! She had been the one who decided to take The Cure and now she had to live with the repercussions. He was just pointing them out... albeit in a rather unsympathetic and harsh way, but still. "I don't need to," he told her. He didn't need to do his worst, that could easily involve killing her. But even he would not do that right now. Besides, what kind of victory would it be? Where was the glory in killing someone who wasn't even fighting? It was one thing to kill during a battle, but this was no battle. It was just her, already wounded from his powers trying to fight back in whatever way she could... whatever human way.
"Cause it looks like you already did the worst for yourself." Pyro would rather die than not have his powers. It defined who he was. His mind went to Mystique... having to watch her powers sucked from her when she had been injected with the cure. It was a horrible sight to see and that was a situation Pyro did sympathize in. Her mutation had been so amazing, and then humans decided to weaponize it and decide for them who should be given the cure and who shouldn't. It was no wonder Magneto wanted to fight against that! It was disgusting! He only hoped that Magneto was still Magneto... despite whatever everyone may be saying about how he was forcibly given the cure. Pyro had to hold out the hope for something at least. And in the meantime, he would deal with others where he saw fit. So right now, killing Marie wasn't something on his agenda.

It seemed that Pyro's words or actions had rendered her silent, and it only fueled the mutant's amusement. He knew that the situation could have ended very differently if she had not rid herself of her powers... but fortunately for Pyro, they had worked in his favor. He looked at her with a mix of amusement and distaste. He felt no sympathy for what he had done, for he was only calling her out on her own bluff! She should not have underestimated his intelligence. "Pathetic," he stated as he looked over her. "I told Bobby that when I saw him at the rally, looking for you." Had he been there to stop her or to encourage her? Either way it had caused a confrontation between them, one that Bobby had walked away from , which hardly came as a surprise. He tended to avoid conflict unless it was absolutely necessary; one of the many things that he and Pyro were total opposites in.
"Told him that you were pathetic and looks like you proved me right." They had fought to stop the cure, for the cure implied that they had some sort of disease; that there was something within them that needed to be fixed. And she was one of those mutants who Pyro had no respect for. "Does he even still wanna be with you?" Pyro asked, somewhat rhetorically. "Cause even I think he deserves someone better; someone who's not ashamed of who they are." The damage was already done between their relationship... he knew he couldn't do any worse to it. So he wasn't going to apologize or look at her with sympathy. Pity perhaps, especially if it annoyed the hell out of her, but definitely not regret for his actions or words. She would just have to deal with them.

Bobby was saying something or another about him not showing off and it caused Pyro to roll his eyes. "Relax man, you sound like the professor," he teased. That was the lecture that Pyro often got from most of the teachers at the school. He basically had it memorized. "Which makes you sound like an eighty year old," he further mocked, exaggerating the Professor's age... maybe. Dude was old after all. As they walked along, Bobby actually answered his question about the book store. He supposed his question wasn't entirely sarcastic... he had made the joke, knowing the book store was something that would actually appeal to Bobby. Too bad for him it was closed, but lucky for Pyro he wouldn't be dragged there to look at books. Although even if he didn't admit it, he did like to read. Thankfully, his friend distracted the conversation, mentioning how busy the mall was and that they should go over to where he wanted to go. It had less than a welcoming look to it as a rather cantankerous looking man stood at the entrance of the store.
"Let's go then," Pyro encouraged, unaffected by the man's lacking smile. In fact, those were the best, and easiest, kind of people to provoke. As they walked past him, John gave a nod to him. "Hey there, chuckles," he said sarcastically as he made his way into the store, ignoring whatever reaction he'd gotten from the man. Pyro was far too focused on the task at hand: get a lighter. Usually they were kept right near the cash register but in this particular store, they were in one of the aisles. Perfect! Pyro excitedly made his way to it, his eyes scanning over each one. Deciding on a color that he liked, he picked it up and inspected it. Opening the cover, he flicked it on as a smile spread across his lips. Suddenly, he felt the power surge back into his body, now having access to fire. Closing the cover, he briefly glanced on either side of them and then pocketed the lighter before turning to his friend. "Need anything?" He asked Bobby casually, acting as if he was not just about to steal a lighter from the shop.

She went on about how he was the one who had left... how they didn't want to fight him. He believed that, because he had spent time with both of them. He knew that he was the one who provoked fights, but that didn't mean the comfort of being in her and Iceman's company compared to the comfort he found in the Brotherhood. They couldn't support him or his views... besides, what the hell was he to them, a third wheel? "Oh I do know," he told her, not doubting that fact. "But other than a roof over my head and food on a table, that place did nothing for me. I was better off at a shelter." He didn't believe that Bobby or Rogue actually missed him. Hell, he didn't believe that anyone there did. It was odd, to feel isolated even while surrounded by so many people. It was not something he could explain, nor did he have any desire to. What mattered was that he found where he did belong... and it sure as hell wasn't at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. She said how she had stepped in to keep the cops from getting involved... that hardly scared him. He had handled a whole army of cops before. And that was just one of him. There were four mutants here now so clearly, the cops would be outmatched. But alas, her need to protect so called innocent humans controlled her actions.
"Well it wasn't very smart of you. Even you gotta know that." Because there was just one of her, standing up to a group of them. The conversation set aside as the next series of events took place. The contact of their skin had done nothing, not what he had expected it to. Instead, he felt himself pulled forward and a forceful knee rammed into his stomach. The attack caused him to let out a groan of unexpected pain as he cringed, before getting hit again, this time harder. The act was enough to make him stumble to the ground on his knees, and break the contact of their hands. It took him a few moments to realize what had happened; to think past the aching in his stomach. As he was on his knees, heavily breathing... his heaves began to turn into laughter. Not maniacal laughter, but more, a laughter of realization. As his mind played back what had just happened... it showed him that she had let out a sound of pain, and that he still had his powers; that there was no familiar use of hers against him. The other mutants stepped forward and he raised his hand to stop them amidst his continuing laughter.
Slowly, his laughter was brought to an end though an expression of pure amusement remained on his face. Because he was right! He had called her bluff and it had so been worth it, even if he did get rammed in the stomach. Something that would most likely leave a bruise. He rose to his feet and looked at her, shaking his head at her as he grinned. He couldn't resist letting out a few more chuckles as he further processed this. "Looks like I was right." He couldn't help but point that out. "Is that why you're out here, got kicked out of mutant school cause you aren't a mutant any more?" He asked sarcastically, basking in the glory of being proved correct. "Makes sense. Who the hell would want you on their side now, Marie?" He questioned rhetorically, emphasizing her name, for never before had he called her Marie. He always called her Rogue. But that was her mutant name. She now deserved to be called by her human name.

Used to be part of her so called home. Yeah. That was true. But... only to a certain extent. "Just cause I lived there doesn't mean it was ever my home." Because he had never felt like he belonged. The number of detentions he had gotten had to have made a new record. Always being told what to do, or what not to do. Having to hide his power and being accused of showing off every time he wanted to expose himself. Yeah. Some home. The only thing that had made it remotely bearable was Bobby. But when he was given an alternative, he had taken it without a second thought. And he did not regret it. She told him nothings changed and he had to wonder how true that was. "Everything's changed." Cause he wasn't there any more. But, was she talking about herself? Was she still Rogue or was she now Marie? He had to hold back a glare when she called him John. God, he hated that. She couldn't even get his damn name right! The glare was more difficult to suppress however when she spoke of Erik. Accusing him of not being a mutant any more. How dare she! His eyes narrowed at her, clearly unamused by her words. She then finished her words off with some lame ass inspirational words.
"He's never run from a fight," Pyro countered. He was and would always be loyal to Magneto. Despite what anyone said about him. "Least he's alive. Didn't get himself killed like a pansy, unlike your big man Xavier." If she wasn't going to show his leader respect, well he wasn't going to show hers any. She told him she didn't carry back up... "Funny you say you're not looking for a fight, cause you stepped into this one," he countered. He only paused when he noticed her step closer and hold out her hand to him. He looked at her, and then her hand, and then back at her face. Damn this was when some telepathy would come in handy! Was she messing with him? Had she really not gotten the cure? Was his assumption wrong? His mind went back to the time she had touched him, back at Bobby's house. It had felt like his life was being sucked from him, having no control of his powers or anything else. It was a feeling that had made him bitterly resentful toward her... and he didn't want to experience it ever again. But now, faced with this interesting scenario... he wondered if it was worth the risk. He had people around him that would step in if need be.
Unlike before. Who had been there? It's not like Bobby was going to stand up for him, and Wolverine was too busy getting himself shot in the head... not that Pyro thought that mutant would stand up for him either. But now, it was different. Now, he had three other mutants by his side that would defend him if required. Should he risk it? Was he really that arrogant? He flicked his flamethrower, creating a ball of fire in the palm of his hand. Damn, this better be worth it he thought. He swallowed, holding back any reluctance because he had to appear confident. But his mind was screaming at the possibility that she was serious. That she could suck the life out of him again as she had done before. Taking a deep breath he stepped toward her, moving his fire filled hand closer and closer to hers. If she had her powers, she could easily put out the fire in his hand. "Handshake, or hug for old time's sake?" He suggested, forcing a smirk on his face. He was not a hugger (not at all) but he was also stalling a little. His hand grew closer and closer to hers as he increased the heat of the fire in his hand. It was now or never! Taking another deep breath, he finally closed the distance, clutching her hand as he squeezed his eyes tightly shut, bracing himself for the hell she could cause him to feel.

She acknowledged him, saying his name and he couldn't quite tell what her tone was. He just went with it, holding out his hands a bit and continuing to smirk. "In the flesh," he confirmed. He lowered his hands back to his side as she spoke of how home was where the heart was and hers was right here. He purposely looked around with a slightly raised eyebrow before resting his gaze on her again. "What, an abandoned alleyway?" He questioned, though he knew what she had meant. "Cause I sure don't think you mean that your home is with me and us mutants," he joked. Maybe it was with the other mutants... though did she even still have her powers? If not, then she definitely couldn't be considered a mutant anymore. He grew less amused when she questioned what he was doing out here.
It wasn't what she said about him picking on people less than his size... it was what she said about 'Erik'. That, was something he had absolutely no appreciation of. "Why don't you give respect where it's due and call him by his real name, Magneto." Erik was his other name, one that he was no longer known as. They all called him Magneto, and Magneto he would forever remain to them. "It's not like you would go around calling The Professor, Charles now would you?" He was trying to put it in perspective. She had her own leader, he had his. Although... hers was technically dead while his was still only missing. "At least I got people here with me. What about you, where's your backup?" He asked mockingly. Wasn't Bobby around playing the hero? Or was she just lurking out here by herself picking fights?

Before anything escalated, it seemed another woman decided to join the scene. It caused the mutant with the humans life in her hand to pause and stare at the newcomer. Cocking her head to the side she looked at her with disbelief. Was she offering herself as some sort of alternative? It made the woman scoff, but loosen her grip around the humans throat, causing him to stumble to the ground, gagging. The female mutant then kept her gaze on the newcomer to the scene, eying her up and down. "Who the hell are you? Some kind of serve protect bull shitter?" Her words caused the others to snicker as they stood along side the female mutant as they all eyed this intruder. They all clearly found this rather amusing. Whatever she was, human or mutant, she was outnumbered. "Come on then. Give me your best shot!" She egged on, anticipating a fight, just waiting for her to make a move so that she could react in kind. Another voice however once again, distracted the situation.
"Well look at who we have here." Pyro stepped into the scene, Rogue being the first one who had caught his attention. He had heard the commotion so knew something was going on. While he wasn't one to step in and stop a fight, hell he was usually the one who instigated and provoked them, he had to intervene on this one. Because... who would have expected Rogue of all people to be here. The female mutant and others stepped down, curiosity flickering in their eyes as they realized that Pyro and this random woman knew each other. Pyro eyed Rogue, a smirk on his face. He didn't fail to notice that she wasn't wearing her gloves. Interesting. Had his prediction been correct? When he saw Bobby at the rally, he'd assumed he was looking for Rogue. And that seemed to be true. Maybe she did prove to be the coward and sought out the cure. "Aren't you a little far from your home?" He asked mockingly, still smirking, still rather surprised at her presence though was also aamusement in him over it.

Pyro was separated from his small time gang of mutants. Despite his leadership role, this was far from ideal for him. He wanted The Brotherhood back. He would never admit that it was dead though! All he needed to do was find Magneto and then everything would be back to the way it was. When he had joined the Brotherhood, it had been the first time for his entire life that he felt like he belonged. He was with mutants who shared the same values and beliefs as him and most importantly, they weren't trying to tell him not to use his powers. They were only saying when would be the best time to use them. So yes. He needed the group to get back together. It was why after the battle, he had regrouped with what Brotherhood mutants were there and formed this small spin off gang of theirs. They all knew it was temporary, just until Magneto was found. He was no alpha, more of a beta. So he didn't try to overly control the group. It just helped to have the second in command while they awaited the reforming of The Brotherhood. Until then, they all created havoc against humans, other times it was just about surviving day to day with what limited provisions they had. They still stayed at the headquarters, but he knew it would only be a matter of time before it was compromised.
Right now, his group mates were doing their own thing, carrying about their own business. And that business involved getting in a fight. There were three mutants, and five humans. They all had in a darkened alleyway, clearly arguing about something or another. "What are ya gonna do about it?!" One of the humans demanded. The three mutants were clearly growing increasingly angry, while the humans were over confident for they had the numbers. Which didn't matter. If there was one thing that the three mutants all had in common it was arrogance. One that was soon exposed, for one of the mutants suddenly caused the humans hair to grow with abnormal speed at an alarming length. The human, clearly confused, let out a worried cry as scared expressions formed over the faces of the other humans. The mutants chuckled at this, as the one with the power used their powers to cause the long trail of hair, wrap around the humans neck and start choking him. "Not so tough now are you?!" She questioned rhetorically. As she focused his powers on this, the other two mutants began to advance toward the humans who were slowly stepping away, cowering from the fight.

Pyro was enjoying the fruit of his efforts. Hearing people run amok was actually pretty hysterical. Insignificant humans! It wasn't he saw someone diffuse his fire that he stopped smiling and turned his attention to the source. Though he knew he would recognize that tactic and power just about anywhere. He just hadn't been expecting to see it, or well him, here. What were the chances?! His eyes locked on him, his former friend. Maybe the only so called friend that he had at Xavier's. But that was a long time ago. They had become rivals because of their different beliefs when it came to how to deal with humans. Pyro had found a home among the Brotherhood, and he never looked back with regrets.
Bobby as always, had to play the hero as he began to put out the fire that was dangerously close to some random kid. People were quickly running away, fleeing the scene, and Pyro knew there was no point to set the fire after them. He wasn't trying to kill everyone in sight. He just wanted to start a little spark... which turned into more than a spark. But now, his boredom was going to be assuaged with Bobby's presence. When the surprise of seeing him finally subsided, a smirk formed on his face. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Iceman." His tone was mocking. "Here to save the day, as always I take it?" He asked sarcastically, still smirking at the sight of him and his unwavering efforts to save humans every chance he got.

Bobby told him that he would hang on to the money and while John knew that was the 'smart' thing to do, considering his intentions, that didn't mean he was actually going to agree with it. "What are you, my mother?" He asked sarcastically with a grin. "It isn't right that they took something of mine." Once again, John understood the logic, but he didn't like it. He was still mentally kicking himself for not bringing a back up with him. He just hated this whole 'don't use your powers' policy. They had them for a reason, why not show it off to the world?! Shouldn't that be their right? "Now I gotta find a way to replace it," he added.
There was no point in trying to hide his plans for he was well aware that Bobby already knew of them, which was why he probably said that he would keep the money with him.Though he supposed this would pose as an interesting challenge. It would add to the thrill of it all. "What do you wanna do anyway, go to the bookstore?" He asked, his tone mocking though would not be surprised if Bobby actually wanted to. He was after all the book smart kid who did well in school. Where as Pyro didn't care about academics. What was that phrase that all his teachers like to say... 'You have so much potential, John. You just need to apply yourself. And Pyro's reactions to these words often demonstrated his lack of care for academics.

Pyro was out wandering the streets, this time on his own. He wasn't as mission oriented as he'd been with The Brotherhood and he hoped that one day he could return to those days. But for now, he had his group of mutants who carried out their own sense of defiance against the human race. He had arrived at the park, coming to this one only because it was close by to where he'd been before. While he wasn't one to appreciate the beauty of nature and all that crap, he was appreciative of the fresh air it provided. Besides, sometimes an opportunity came that would allow him to show case his mutant powers.
Like right now. Two idiot families were arguing about one thing or another. It was about who knows what, and it was annoying him -- most probably because he was in a mood -- so he decided to intervene. Standing at a distance, he raised his hand, flicking his flamethrower to create a ball of fire in his hand and he charged it toward the two families. He put it in between them to create a barrier, but he began to increase it, wanting them to go away so that maybe he could actually enjoy the fresh air and not have to deal with humans' idiocy. Everyone around the park because to scream and run away, which only made Pyro chuckle with amusement as he stood off to the side. No one seemed to suspect it, and that made this all the more amusing.

Finally, for the first time in his life, Pyro felt like he was in the right place. He had never felt like he belonged at Xavier's; it was just the only alternative to the streets. But after he'd me Magneto, a lot changed. Everything changed really. Pyro, like the others, had all heard things about Magneto and the Brotherhood. But when he met the mutant in charge, he wasn't what Pyro expected. The guy had praised his powers -- something that Pyro always liked -- and encouraged him to use them. Unlike at Xavier's where they had to hide their powers and refrain from using them. Pyro couldn't stand that. Why did they have to hide?! He never agreed with that whole conformity crap. And after hearing Magneto explain his views and the objective of the Brotherhood, Pyro was undoubtedly on board.
He even said he was going to get Pyro a flame thrower so he wouldn't have to carry his lighter around! How cool was that! After having been given a brief tour, Magneto had to tend to some business so Pyro settled in a little and was now making his way around the place. He reached the kitchen and saw some old lady cooking. She greeted him and said that he should take some while it was there. Pyro wasn't going to say no. Pretty sweet deal that he didn't have to cook. "Thanks," he stated. He did as offered and grabbed a plate, putting some of the food in it before going the stool at the island. He flicked the cover of his lighter on and off, a habit of it, as he mixed the food a little, waiting for it to cool down. "So, what do you do?" He asked, cutting straight to the chase of finding out what her powers were.

"Now remember, you all have two hours to spend here." Plenty of time to do something interesting. "Make sure you stay with at least one other person." Pyro already know who that someone would be. "And please, be on your best behavior." At this statement, Ororo looked directly and Pyro and all he could do was offer a sarcastic innocent smile in return. Unleashing him in a public place wasn't exactly the best idea . . . based on past incidences. But nor could they lock him up in a room. The worst they could do was give him detention -- and or disallow him from coming on any more field trips -- and neither of those options were that bad. The punishment was worth what he did to get it. "Alright everyone, have fun!" And with that, they were dismissed. The students were currently on an outing at the mall in the city. It was a time for them to do some shopping, or just leisurely look around. For Pyro, it was the time to have a little fun and show off some. He looked over at Bobby, the one that he would be buddied up with. Bobby was really his closest friend in the school -- perhaps because he was the only one who could put up with Pyro. In fact, Pyro prided himself on provoking others and causing problems. So it was expected that he wouldn't have that many friends. Besides, he knew the teachers liked Bobby hanging out with John because they believed that Bobby was 'a good influence'. Pyro was still trying to corrupt Bobby a little though, trying to get him to join in on the fun.
"So," he began to say. "Where to first?" But before Bobby could answer, Ororo came up to John and extended her hand expectantly. John just looked at her, pretending not to know what she wanted. But she stayed in place. "Hand it over," she instructed. "Hand what over?" Pyro asked, knowing he was being a smart ass because he was well aware of what she wanted. "John . . . " She said, still waiting. He noticed Cyclops look over as well, and it was enough to make Pyro roll his eyes, and groan as he pulled out his lighter and with great annoyance, put it in Storm's hand. "We wouldn't have to do this if you didn't have a record of showing off, John." Her voice was gentle but stern, and it only annoyed Pyro even more. He just glared at her until she gave a small smile to Bobby, and walked off to join the other adults. When they were out of ear shot, Pyro returned his attention back to Bobby. "So, wanna go to the dollar store?" So that he could get another lighter.

Pyro was not happy about this. As if 'the cure' hadn't caused enough damage, they still wanted to offer it to those who were willing. After everything that it had caused, all the destruction it had created... and of course, the immorality of it. The very name of it implied that they had something that needed curing, when what they had was a way to kill humans! That was something Pyro had learned and lived by during his time in the Brotherhood. While he still believed that the Brotherhood existed, somehow, he was currently in his own little gang of those who survived the battle. He was still looking for their leader, but as it seemed he was injected with the 'cure'... well, didn't look like they'd be getting Magneto back any time soon.
Still, Pyro had learned too much and done too much to just hide in a corner. Which was why he was here today, now. Wearing a flamethrower at each wrist, he stood in front of the building, protestors all around while the police were there trying to manage the enthusiastic crowd. Pyro turned to his lead and gave a little nod. A few mutants went that way. He turned to his right and did the same, a couple went that way. He wasn't going to stand here with lame ass signs and protest. He was going to make more of a statement. In one quick motion he flicked his flamethrower, creating a ball of fire in each hand which he immediately thrust forward, targeting and successfully hitting the building as the people began to cry and panic ensued, with them running in every which direction.
Now, they were talking. Now, this was really a protest.

Bobby knew him too well, which Pyro wasn't all too surprised by anyway. "Come on, man. What else are we gonna do?" He asked rhetorically. They were at a mall. Where was the fun if he could flaunt his powers every now and then. But it also didn't surprise him that Bobby was trying to avoid him getting a detention. The guy was a tad more rule orientated than Pyro was. Besides, he seemed to genuinely like it at the school where as Pyro was there out of a means of convenience. He often wondered if there was a better place out there for him, but knew that hoping and dreaming was for wusses.
"Where do you wanna go, then?" He questioned. Maybe this could be good. It was a challenge! Pyro . . . alright, so he didn't exactly like challenges, but this would teach him to be creative in his use of powers. All he needed was the slightest spark, and then the teachers couldn't even blame him because he could always play that 'it was an accident, I don't have control over my powers' card. "I'm open to suggestions," he added, letting Bobby take the lead on this. Pyro would simply walk alongside him, see if he could find something to entertain him along the way.

Hey all! I thought I would post a graphic request thread since I am taking them! This includes sigs, icons, layouts, etc! I have a few fields to fill out for anyone who would like a request! This is so that I can make it quickly for you because the more detailed you are in what you want, the faster I can make it!!
- Graphic: What would you like: a sig, icon, posting layout(s), or all 3??
- Text Color: Usually I just go with the color of your username/posting color and sorta theme things around that! But its always good to check!
- Gifs or Stationary Images: For canons, I can usually make gifs! For OCs, depending on where your muse is from, I can also make gifs! If you don't want gifs, then I can just do edits as well. That's noo problem at all; just let me know if you have a preference!
- Scene(s) to Use: Which shots would you like me to use for your graphics! Pleeasseee tell me what scenes you like, especially for canons! You can request like 10 different scenes even, and I can make you 10 different sigs! It's just SO much easier if you help me narrow it down so I'm not skimming through all the movies looking for good shots of your character! If you are REALLY stuck, then just be like "A sig where they're happy" or something like that! If you give me the mood, I can usually work from there. Or even "a scene where they're in the woods!" Any sort of theme will help if you REALLY can't decide!
- Text: If you have a certain quote you'd like to use (said by the character or not) OR if you want lyrics from a certain song! If you don't want any text, then thats totally fine too!! Just let me know if you have a preference!
- Other: Any other notes you would like to add? Embellishments? Borders? Styles? Etc! Let me know here!
Annndd thats about it! Those are just some things to give you ideas and help visualize it! If you're super stuck, and want to give me all the creative freedom, thats totally fine too but as I said, I can make your graphics A LOT quicker if you help me narrow some things down! Thank you and bring on the requests!! I really love making them!
Form to fill out and reply in this thread:
