Lorna ran down the rickety steal bean of the wearhouse before getting tot he edge and jumping off. She landed with a hard thud, and stood up. Green plasma swerved around her fingers as she lifted the first two and used them to throw the bean she'd just jumped off of at the Sentinel. It speared it in the chest and pinned it to the wall--though she knew it wouldn't hold it. Moving her fingers differently, the beam bent and formed a U to lock it into place. While it wouldn't hold it, it would slow it down a lot!
The world had gone to hell, and Lorna was with a group that had been hiding out in the warehouse. They've been hiding here for a few days, but the Sentinels had found them. The group was a larger one, but a handful of mutants (the stronger ones) were staying and fighting them off so the others could get away.
If you had told Lorna that should would be acting as a hero before this happened, she'd have thrown the beam at someone. She wanted power--and now she just wanted to live. Wanted as many mutants to live as they could. She wanted to find a way to kill the metal beasts. TAG: John Allerdyce

Madgah? What kind of name was that? That wasn't a mutant name--when did he call people by names and not mutant name? Mutants here wanted to be called by certain names. She was Polairs, and he was Magneto. Who the hell was Eyesinhard? Lorna stared at him trying to figure out what was happening here. Clearly this was a joke. A particular joke. "Did Pyro pay you to say this?" She asked, deciding that the only way this was happening if it was a joke. Apirl 1?
Reunited?! Who had he known before?! While he knew a lot of mutants, Magneto didn't KNOW a lot of mutants. They were all recent finds, unless it was principal guy. Most had been killed, which added the fuel to their fire of fighting the humans and becoming the dominate race! "Are you being serious?!" She asked, the upset of finding out now starting to show in her now angry tone. "You've just decided to get married?! All on your own?!! Just suddenly and randomly?!"

Lorna sat there still and silently staring at the person who was pretending to be her father. He might as well have said he was going to a water park in a speedo with as much sense as his words made. Or buying a rare pet cat for 30 grand because it was hypoallergenic. He was what?! Lorna's lips were hanging open slightly as she forgot how to move her face for a hot minute while his words settled in. "Sure you are," she said, deciding the best thing to do was ignore it and hope it went away.
Married?! What the freakin' fork?! TO WHO? He didn't favor anyone here?! He was always off on some meeting or something and never around---wait! Was this a love spell? Wasn't there a mutant who controlled emotions? Did she need ti kick someone's B double T? Still staring at him, Lorna slowly floated up and folded her arms. "To a woman?" She repeated slowly, almost disbelievingly, as if she was humoring a child. "And which one?" Selene? No. Which one?

Lorna had left home a few years ago, when she was too young to really leave. She'd been knocked around enough to know she rather have the world knock her around then her father. He didn't like the idea that she wasn't his real daughter, and then when he found out she was a mutant, he thought that he could beat her into not being a mutant. She hadn't been strong enough to stop him, but she had been to strong enough to leave and never look back.
She'd found other mutants to hang out with, but they were more around each other then there for each other. Lorna was the youngest int he make shift group, but she was by far the strongest. Both in personality and in powers. Lorna had the mindset that if she was the strongest, no one like her Dad would hurt her again.
She had short black hair, that died to cover the green her powers made her powers turn. She was trying to blend in without giving up who she was. Turning the corner, Lorna looked behind her before going deeper down the ally. Right before she got to the small abandoned building she noticed someone new was there. Pausing Lorna drew up taller to make herself look older. "Hey! Who are you?" She called out, trying to sound tough and not like a kid.

Humans were stupid, but they did okish things sometimes. Cheese-its were one of the more okish things they did. Though Lorna pretended that a mutant had thought of the adult version of goldfish. The square chessy snack was her jam right now.
A white hair kid popped up and she walked up behind him, ready to defend the island while Dadneto was away--Magneto might not be ready for anyone to call him Dad but Lorna wasn't exactly asking person. She was officially at the rank of Disney princess for something. The kids asked about her and Erron (the mutant he was talking too) looked at her. Lorna looked at the kid and slowly ate another cheese-it. "Never heard of her." She told him, before turning and walking away. That was easy.

Lorna was Daddy's Girl and nothing would ever ruin that. She had been raised by a single parent, and while it hadn't always been and easy life, she had no regrets. She was a powerful mutant, had power over the mutants since she was so strong and her father so well respected. Life was good.
Currently she was working on using her powers to shape little details in things. Her father did it with ease, but he controlled metal, were as she controlled magnetic fields. It was harder for her to narrow her focus, but her father had been working with her on it. Lorna squinted her eyes and tried to focus in on making something small smooth out. When she couldn't get it, she threw the mental across the room. Rolling her eyes she muttered "Ridiculous" under her breath before her powers make it come back to her and she tried again.
The door opened then, and she looked up. Her father's voice was serious. Had something happened? Had the humans done something stupid? "Alright," she said, looking at him but not getting off where she was sitting on the floor.

Damn right she was impressive! Though that was all he seemed to say about her display of power. Which annoyed her, but she hid it down since she still had his attention. He talked about where they were going, which she realized she didn't care about as much as she thought she did. Lorna was really here to be with the people she could impress and if that was here or there it didn't matter. Still, and island was fun! Maybe there was a beach or something! Islands were like all beach right? A fancy hotel they could take over! How bad could it be?
What brought her here? Lorna shifted her weight from one foot to the other as she tried to find a answer. She was tired of being alone. No where else to go. The kids here were weak and she was strong so she could easily fit in by leading them. She had been scared as mutants were hunted and didn't want to be the kid alone in the streets. Shrugging her shoulders she avoid the answers that could strike pity and instead gave a half truth. "The cause. I'm here to my part in the fight." That sounded good right? She knew her voice wasn't as confidant in her answer, but that was because it was a half truth.

That made since. He was sad cause his friend died. She had not had a lot of friends until the past few years when she'd come here. She knew though that Mangeto had a lot of value in them. She knew that he had lost his fam, and that it had made him go a little crazy and try to destroy the Earth. She hadn't seen him loose anyone close to him before but she knew crazy. Lorna struggled with crazy herself. Though outwardly she hated that word, and refused to use it--she was good friends with crazy.
What did one say when someone told you they lost someone? Polaris looked around trying to figure it out. Was she supposed to be all soft and pat him on the back? Yeah, that was how you did it! Lorna reached out to hesitantly touch his shoulder and give it a short four circle rub before dropping it back. She should leave now!
Yet Magneto was one of the new people she new it would be hard for her to loose. Him (and though she'd never admit it out loud, she'd miss Pryo too). She didn't like the idea of knowing he was sitting here hurting and no one was around. And she hated that she didn't like it and it made her want to stay. Shifting her feet, and giving an inward sigh of annoyance with herself, she moved to sit beside him. "I've never, ya know, lost anyone. My parents wanted nothing to do with me, and I've been alone most of my life." She'd run away at 15 and been on her own since. "But since coming coming here I get it. What it must be like. To loose someone. I bet it sucks. Just don't forget we're here too. So like you're not alone." Suddenly she knew what she needed to say, but it hung in her chest unable to come out. The fear of saying it and being rejected so strong that no other words would come out either.

Lorna stood by the door as they led him over, and pushed him in. Her plan had been to rush the door but since he was in here she didn't. Instead he gave the guard a middle finger before turning to Mangeto. His hands were bound, and she had the urge the hug him--but Lorna wasn't a hugger. Years of keeping herself independent of needing anyone had left her with issues. No matter how much she wanted his approval, or in this case a hug, she wouldn't just ask for it.
He asked her if she was alright and she shrugged her shoulder. "I'm always alright," she brushed it off, like she always did. In truth, she was scared. They had him here, and without his powers he was human and they could do anything too him. She knew the stories, he'd been locked up for ten years before escaping! "Who is coming?" Surly this was only part one of the plan! There were more coming, and he was just waiting for them? If not then she wasn't sure how to react to that. 16 years of feeling worthless to anyone had left her with mixed reactions to people caring about her.
Walking around him she looked at the zip ties holding his hands. When they were on your own hands you couldn't get them off, but since her's were free she used hers to pull hard enough that they loosened and he could pull his hands free.

Lorna had not stopped annoying the scientist since she found out about her father. If anything, the news had inbolded her! She was freakin' royalty now and she was going to act like the princess she was meant to be! While currently it was limited to snide comments, and judging remarks at the humans, she couldn't wait to get out of here. Magneto would bring this building down on their heads! While he had been peaceful since she knew him, she knew this would anger him!
There was a commotion behind her and she turned to look through the plastic cell to see them leading Magneto in with his hands bound and a collar on. HOW THE HELL DID HE GET THAT ON HIM?! Had they used a dart?! No, not enough time had passed. Lorna wasn't book smart, but she was street smart, growing more so since spending years under his guidance. He'd turned himself in. His weakness had always been his heart, and they used her to get too it. Which on one hand--YEAH! He loved her! Maybe! Enough!
On the other more dominate hand-- "YOU COWARDS!" Lorna ran up to the plastic and kicked it throwing her whole body into the door in a repeated attempt to get out! THE HELL SHE WAS GOING TO LET THIS BE HOW THEY GOT HIM! "I WONT NEED MY POWERS TO GET YOU!" She banged on, kicked it and throwing her body into the door. After a few times it began to hurt--really hurt--and she stopped. Breathing deeply she watched them keep leading him closer until he was in the middle of the room. Lorna felt panicked. Erik had been more then a leader to her! He had been the first to make her feel accepted, and like she hadn't had to fight so hard to be part of the group. He had trained her, and helped her settled her chaotic mind! She had grown from the angry teenager to an young adult who could better handle her mental chaos! Lorna put her hand on the plastic and watched, waiting to see what happened.

Lorna walked the cell like a caged tiger--or at least she aimed too. She was stomping around enough that it mostly was like an annoyed teenager. Which she wasn't any more! She had on a collar that prevented her from using her powers, and they had her in a thick plastic box--just in case.
Glaring at her from Pryo, she blamed him for this. She'd not said it, but she did. Though, Lorna had the feeling that he would somehow turn this on to her. Lorna kicked the side of the plastic cage and the workers looked up at her. "I can't wait for you guys to go extinct!" She yelled at them before turning to pace away. She'd been here for hours! Maybe even a whole day. Or even more--she didn't know! She'd been out cold for a while thanks to the tranquilizers they hit her up with.
When she got the the end of the cage she glared at Pryo again, before turning to pace away. This was what she'd been doing since she woke up. Pace to one side, glare at Pryo, pace to the other and glare at the worker bees. Only thins time she noticed they were scurrying about and talking to each other. Lorna watched them and would have ignored them but they were pointing at her. Pausing she stood there and watched as some men in suits entered and hurried over. They read some sort of report and then looked at her. "Throw a banana at me why don't ya!" If they wanted a monkey in a zoo then she would be a monkey. The man in the fanciest suit walked up to the door but didn't open it. "Aww, you don't want to come in? Pyro! Tell him I am a good dancer!" She looked at her friend before back at the suit. "I wont even step on your toes."
'What is your name?' He asked, "Polaris." He shook his head, 'You're other name.' Grinning she leaned forward "Polaris Polaris." Giving a glare to her the suit turned to walk away 'Send a message to to her father, he'll come for her.' Lorna laughed, a bitter laugh. "Sucks to be you! I don't have a dad!" The suit ignored her and gave some more orders. These orders made her freeze. They were preping for Magneto to come. "I thought you were calling my Dad?" She asked, lifting her hands to press on the glass. The suit looked at her, then turned to the guard and told him to double it. That once they told Magneto they had his daughter this building would become groups zero. "What?" Lorna yelled, and listened as they ignored her. The suit gave more orders and only referred her to as Magneto's daughter.
She was what?! Banging on the glass to get the suit's attention, he finally looked at her. "Our powers are similar, but he's not my Dad. You guys are idiots who don't know how powers work." The suit walked up to her and sneered 'you can try to lie to us, but we've already ran your blood. We know he's your father. So cut the shit.' and hen that he walked away.
Lorna walked backwards until her back hit the glass on the other side. She stood there for a long time trying to think and sort out her life. Magneto was her Dadneto?! She'd been kicked around as kid because she wasn't her step dad's daughter and she was a freak with powers---and apparently it was because she was Erik Lehnsherr's daughter. After a while she turned her head to look at Pryo, who she knew overhead. She knew she should be mad at this turn of events but . . .
Lorna slowly smiled at him, and the smile turned to a grin, and the grin turned into a chuckle, and the chuckle to a laugh! The laugh was while and wicked. Lorna Dane had just become the princess of mutants! Walking up the glass she yelled to the suit who was leaving the room. "TELL MY DAD I SAID HI!"

Lorna liked this! This idea of having a place to train and be ready! Yes! Her fingertips tingled as she wiggled them in excitment! Running the same fingers through her hair, Lorna smiled at the idea. Not so much for the idea of protecting mutants as a place for her to not hide! While she would defend other mutants there was always a feeling of thrill at using her powers to show how bad ass she was!
"Then I choose to go with you." Lorna said, and walked backwards. After a few steps she turned to go get her back. She wanted to be some of the first back. After stuffing her backpack with all she owned and some food she pulled one strap over her shoulder and began walking back. She'd not been gone long, and as she approached him again she decided to try and impress him with her powers. Not looking anyone but at him, she walked with long strides toward him and held her hand out. A thin green plasma formed around her fingers as the knives along the side of the wall floated up and toward her. They moved to stop beside her as she came to a rest near him. Speaking to him she began putting them in her bag one at a time, while the others floated there. "So where are we going?"

He offered her his hand and told her it was a pleasure. It was a little old school but she liked where he was coming from. She took the offered hand, and his next words brought her chin up and she found herself smiling. Yes, she had done that and it was nice to have him notice! She felt empowered and she liked it.
"I've been here about five years now. Made sure the humans stayed off our backs and everyone was safe." She told him, which basically meant to bossed them around and kept them working on their powers like she thought was best--for better or worse, she'd done it. She knew they needed to get stronger before they could stand up to the humans in anyway they could. Right now she could push or pull things around, and move basic things. Once when she was really pissed off she floated! Just a foot off the ground but DAMN! She could float! "Everyone who was anyone back when you were here has left us. Humans treat us like freaks, and most of us don't exactly fit in a rich prep-schools where they just want to sing kumbaya. So we stayed and waited." Meaning there had been no one else.

Lorna watched the other break up to get the few things they had to their names, so they were ready when it was time to go. She didn't like not giving the order but she held her lips shut so that she didn't make it worse. The last thing she wanted was to make everyone pick between her and their hero. She knew who'd they pick, and she wasn't sure she could handle loosing that.
He asked who she was, and having his whole attention soothed the rest of her feathers. "Polaris," She told him, giving him her mutant name. Wasn't it he who introduced himself and encouraged others to use mutant names? She she didn't give him Lorna right now. Though she hadn't really gotten used to the new name. She wanted too through! Lorna was the weak kick who got kicked around by her father. Polaris was a force of nature!

Lorna might have been ready for a fight but Magneto wasn't. It was clear she wouldn't verbally bait him into it. It annoyed her even more! The others glances between them and so Lorna decided her best play was to go with them. With him. See what he offered. She didn't want to end up here alone. She was used to no one wanting her around, and she wasn't about to give up on not being alone right now. She folded her arms over her chest and waited for him to finish talking.
His last words were to her, and him speaking directly to her eased some of her ruffled feathers. "There is a safe place?" She asked, hesitant to believe it but willing to go anyway. It wasn't like it could be worse then here. Besides, she knew of his powers and how they were similar to her own. She wanted to learn from him. Wanting to hold on to her power she spoke up, "Where is there such a place?"
She couldn't imagine a place where they were safe. All her life she'd been kicked down and brushed off and sent away for what she was. She'd long learned to embrace it. Embrace the idea that there never would be a home or safe place.

She felt chastised and Lorna didn't like it. She'd built up this ideal of him and in that ideal he had favored her, and thought her amazing--and now the real thing was telling her that what she was doing what wrong. Shifting her feet she rolled her eyes at his speech, but it was very subtle. Not blatantly disrespectful but enough to show she wasn't quit ready to let it go.
Everyone started agreeing and rushing up to agree to follow him and do his bidding. Lorna realized she's lost her power the moment he walked in. The mutant she wanted to be like, and now----well this sucked!
Lorna stood there and waited for everyone to finish. As the conversation died down she put her hands on her hips and spoke up again. "So you disappear for like a dozen years--" clearly she was exaggerating "--and suddenly come back to save the world in Egypt and we're supposed to what?" She wanted to know what she was signing up for, before she joined him. At that point a few others looked between them. Lorna knew they'd follow him if forced to pick, but she was making a play to keep what power she had over them.
Lorna shifted on her feet again, and looked up at him. "The real threat? We've been fighting that. Where have you been?" She knew the story. Married a human. Went soft and left. Her voice wasn't angry, but it wasn't soft either. It was clear that there was more under her words then defiance. She was bristled, and maybe even hurt that the mutant she had once thought the ideal way to be . . . . was more human then she had thought him.

Magneto was standing here, and telling her she could do better? It was like meeting your idol and them disapproving. Her brows bent and her arms crossed as she stiffed her back. Could do better?! She damn well almost had it! She was TRYING to do better! Wasn't that was this was all about! She wanted to stomp her foot and use her powers to throw something but knew better. He was powerful.
"I am!" She said proudly when he asked who was responsible for this. They needed training to be able to use their powers to fight the big fights! They were supposed to be a team. That was what she was doing! Making them follow her because they see how powerful she was! "I was training to stop bullets so the next time humans shoot at us!"

Yeah yeah, no celebrating for them. She got it, SHE DID but she couldn't help but to be excited to go on a mission and kick some ass! She could stand by him and prove once and for all that she was would be the next Magneto! He would be proud of her and then they'd rule here! Well, it would be the first step into that direction! She could be begin proving herself!
Lorna noticed too, that there was something more then him just being somber. There was a sadness to his face? Maybe. She wasn't sure. She knew sadness. Lorna struggled with mental illness, and she could see that something was off with Magneto. Something more then mourning a random death and not wanting to hunt down another. Polaris watched him for a moment as her brows bent. "You don't look angry." She said, realizing that was why he was off. "You look upset."

FINALLY! They were going to do something besides train! Lorna had missed the helicopter fight, but she was ready to be of use now! Magneto had been training her, and she was primed and loaded to kick some ass! The excitement of using her powers and joining in had her emotions on high but she was trying to pull them in! She bounced around Selene, and then others until she decided the best use of her energy was to go get Pryo. He was off the island on the mainland.
She bounced up the hill and then used her powers to float up toward Magneto's house--forgetting to knock in her haste. He called her Lorna, and she ignored it. Both names were used here, but she tended to go by Polaris with most people. Over the years however she'd come to respect and crave Magneto's approval. Sometimes it felt like he did not wrong util he ignored her! "I'm going to--" Her feet landed as she took a few steps toward him but then slowed.
Something was off here. She'd seen any looks on his face over the years--and many of them directed at her antics. Yet this one was new. Her emotions, which were bouncing and jumping slowed and she felt uncertain. "What happened?" Her voice was soft for her, and she tilted her head to better see his face. She knew his friend died, but she'd never seen them together so she wasn't sure what this was.
