He sat down, which was a good thing. It meant he wasn't going to start pacing and get angry again. Lana let go of his emotions to better foucse on the human's. "They have a name." She explained, "Darllit." Because she was little, and had a bit of a dark side when it came to staying alive. She would enjoy making the humans feel the fear everyone felt once she was out. "It's my mutant name, not my birth name."
There was a time when she had moved past the human part of her, but of late she had come to see both sides. While she wasn't willing to risk her life to fight for freedom, she wasn't willing to give up her own and just let the humans win. She was in this for herself, and as long as she was doing alright then the others could be the warriors and self made heroes. Her voice grew lower, "There are seven of them." The humans. "And four of us in here right now." She could feel the emotions of everyone so she knew how many. She couldn't see them, the humans but she felt them. Four of them were eager, the other three held more of a nervous readiness or anticipation. "Four doctors and the other three are going to be men who will subdue us."

"What do they ever want from us?" She asked, resting her arm on her door, grateful she could touch her walls, even if he could not. "They want to know how we work, what we can do, and why we're different." To cut them open, and treat them like a frog in school's biology class. "Give you a hint on how they are going to figure that out."
She looked down the row, before looking up the row. Once she found the emotions of the men, she began to make an eagerness come up. "They know your name?" She asked, trying to make small talk so that if the humans were hearing them they might not know what she was doing. Lana could only hope that they didn't start their eagerness on someone besides her.

He calmed down which was good, it meant they could talk--and that her powers were working still! She wasn't sure what drug they had given her but right now she'd take what she could get. Looking over at him, Lana found her eyes looking over what she could see. He was hot, in his own way. Clearly not white but not as dark as her either. She wondered what his card said, what his name was.
Yet she wasn't going to give him her's while in here. The less they knew the better. "Guilty by association." She explained, "I ran with crowd that wouldn't let a human join them, so clearly I wasn't human. That was all they needed to know."
"Look, tight pants, on your card. Do they know everything? Don't say it out loud, but just tell me if they know everything." What had Magneto once said about her? She was a survivor. Lana wasn't built for war, but she wasn't built to stupid either. "If they don't, then you have the advantage, yeah?"

His door seemed to hurt him, and it made her look at her own. Being his hurt to the touch, she was going to assume that it was electricity. Reaching her hand out toward her door, she waited for a sign. Something. The feeling of her hair standing up, something to tell her that her door was also wired. Yet nothing happened, so she touched it with the back of her hand, and still, nothing. Good. One less thing to over come.
His anger then hit her, and she turned her head away, before looking back at him. "Tone it down, tight pants," She snapped back, letting his anger control her. With a frustrated sigh, she closed her eyes then opened them, having separated his emotions from her own. Reaching out with her mind, she took the edge off his anger, not enough to tip anyone off, just enough to get him to answer her. "I am talking about them knowing what we are. That we can do things they can't. We're mutants, and right now whatever is on that card is what they know of you."

Ignoring his snapping at her, Lana assumed it was just the stress of the whole being kidnapped thing. "I don't know, I just woke up. I don't even remember being taken." Her hand lifted and touched her neck where a sore place jumped out on her neck. "I think I was drugged from behind." Which was only a guess.
"Can you see your card?" She pointed to her own, the label on the door. "Can you see how much they know about you?" If it was enough then maybe he could figure out the who, if not then at least they would know how much surprise they had on their side. "Mine just has a name and then says Unknown for my powers. So they have no idea what I can do."

"What the hell do you want?!" There was the source of the anger. Lana looked over at the man and tried to see if he was hurt. When she saw nothing major on him, she looked around at the others, no one looked majorly hurt yet. Which was good, but also bad. If someone was hurt then she'd at least know what was happening.
Looking back at the angry one she tried to speak, but at first her voice cracked. It must have been a while since she'd had anything to drink. "Hey," She called, trying to be just loud enough for him to hear. "Do you know where we are? Were you awake then they took you?" Her accent was strong, but after a year with Magneto she had gotten some polish to her words.

Drunkin demons were playing with hammers in her skull. Moaning, Lana forced her eyes opened before pressing them tightly shut. Too bright! Forcing them open again, she moved her hand slowly to shield her eyes. It felt like moving under water, which only meant one thing. "Oh shite." She'd been drugged.
She could feel control of her limbs slowly coming back as she rolled from the bed and--"OOF!" Landed on the floor! A louder and more painful groan came from her, as she pushed slowly from the floor. Forcing herself on her feet, Lana closed her eyes, first trying to block out everything that was assaulting her now. Fear. Anger. Panic. Anticipation. Glee. An eagerness. There were others like her, she could tell by the emotions, but there was also humans in here that looked forward to something. Blinking she walked toward her glass door, and looked at the card taped to her.
Name: Darklit Mutant Type: unknown
Well that was something. They only her her other name, and nothing what she could do. Which meant they'd seen her with the others but knew nothing else about her. Noted. Looking around she took in the sights of the others, trying to see if their was anyone she knew.

"You might start caring, I might be yer only friend." That would be a sad picture, if she was his only friend. Which she doubted, but saying it was just her way of talking and deflecting her feelings of unsure when it came to her life now, and his lack of care for it. "Yes." Well, "No." Yeah. "I don't know. Be pretty sad if I was still alone and no family. I rather hope I have at least someone. If not kids and a life that wasn't spent like I do now."
What about him? "What of you . . . Erik." Not Magneto, because she was asking about his personal life, rather then his history driven anger toward the humans. "Would you be sad if you learned your alone? Like you'd fought the good fight all your life, but then what? Who'd you share it with? No one? That girl? What you hope to see here?"

Control wasn't easy. Right. That was an understatement. "I never said I was tired," She told him, "This is what I live every day. This little training thing aint nothing on me." Much. She'd get a bit emotional later, feel drained but Lana knew when to withdrawal and when to find something steady.
"So how I learn control?" Where did one even start? Besides with him putting knives to her head, or whatever else he had in store for her. "I dunno even were ta start. I mean, I can hold back some, but the how point of panic is because you can't control things."

Something was off here, only Lana couldn't quite place her finger on it. With Magneto she had gotten to touch his emotions with her powers, and while he had seemed arrogant, and self-pleased this was different. This was a higher level, and more amused-pleased rather then self-pleased as a state of living. Still, she knew him little, so while odd she didn't put her guard up.
"Nah, just started popin' me head in all the holes here." She told him, trying to adjust to this mood. "Hard to think gents got all this and more. Though I guessing none of it was gained by any good. Still, the bed room was the biggest thing I ever have been in. Looking forward to that bath."
Shifting her weight she decided to test the waters, just to see how things stood between him and her. "If'in ya wanted to join me, ya could. I don't take up much space."

It was too dark when her eyes were closed, and too bright when they were open. The roaring in her ears hurt but not as much as the evil drunken elves who were currently taking sledge hammers to the inside of her head. Oh shite everything hurt! Groaning, Lana pushed to sit up, and blink at the building before her. How had she gotten outside?
Magneto was telling her something but it took a extra moment for his words to connect to her. Like hearing underwater. "What?" Panic begin to fill her, and it was all she could do to hold it back from reaching out. "What?" Looking around she pushed backwards until her back touched something, whatever it was stopped her from moving back more. "I--I--I can't! What happened! What -- oh shite--what . . . I . . . " How had she done this? "I don't know how!"

It was Magento. It made her guard drop for a second, but then her powers--which weren't something she could ever turn off--made her pick up on his mood. It wasn't like before. She didn't think anything of it, because she didn't know him well enough to know which mood was his normal. "Ya, ye aint kiddin'!" Lana shot back, her accent clear with each word, as was her lack of grammar missed from her not finishing any form of school.
He was circling her, and it made Lana uncomfortable in a way that being around him before hadn't. Still, there was no danger in what emotions she felt from him so maybe this was just his uppity manner. "Still kan't believe you live 'ere." This big house, the life off the stress. "Even if it is just for a'hile."

"Ya think, old man?" She shot back in a more witty-sarcastic manner then defensive. Unstable was her life! She was sued to feeling the panic around her and such. And if someone was feelin' good (ya know?) then she tended to try leave quickly.
"Look, here" She held out her hand, and reached for the nearest patch of exposed skin she found on him. "Don't panic, I aint gonna use them to make you do things, but I wanna show you how control aint gonna be a strong suit with them." She paused before touching him, and then let her fingers slowly land on his skin one at time--if he wanted to pull away he could. Then she closed her eyes and let him feel what she felt, in this moment.
There was emotions, but they were all separate, like oil and water, they were there in the same body but didn't quite touch. She was happy in a way, yet fearful, and there was a feeling of nervousness, and excitement, and so much else that all boiled down to her glad to be here, and thrilled to be working with him but waiting for it to be taken away just like she'd lost everything else. Lana let her hand fall away, and then she shrugged. "Control. Easier said then done."

Lana walked around the house with her eyes wide. Shite this place was big. Erik--or Magneto--had explained that this house was once a home of a man named Shaw, but now it was where this group was staying until a more long term place could be found. She walked into one of the larger rooms, and looked up at the roof, walking in and turning a slow circle. She had never seen anything this big before!
Growing up her parents had been firmly lower-middle class. They did alright, but nothing fancy. This place was big, and bright, and white, and classy. Magneto had pulled her off the streets, and brought her to this! Hearing something behind her, Lana turned while her mind searched for a sign of attack with her powers.

"What ev." She said, using her old street lingo instead of the words she had learned form him, in order to better ignore his words. She had no intention of obeying him blindly. If she felt they were in danger, then she was going to act according--this was why she wasn't in his brotherhood. She was a on her own.
As they walked away from the warehouse she began to notice people walking around. "Disappointing," She muttered, "It seems everyone forgot how to dress." But they had other things to worry about, so as they walked she began thinking--out loud. "You going to be an old man. What if you have kids? What if your daughter hits on you? What if my daughter hits on you? . . . . Don't hit on my daughter!" She said and smacked his arm, as if she was mad at him doing it.
Then she asked the important ones. "What if you're an old man with a house and a mortgage and two point five kids who hates you, with a dog that barks all night?" Translated too 'what if you hate your life?'

What emotions ran through her? "Too many." She admitted, "Too many to control. Were you might feel many things but it all forms one emotion; I am aware of them emotions that are there. Fear, the rise in heart beat, the sharpening of my hands, my thoughts becoming harder and less clear to read. Panic, the one that causes me to freeze and reach out to something to help me--which makes everyone feel it too."
There was no controlling this! How could one control something that made you feel out of control?! "Do you ever lose control?" She asked, wondering if this was her weakness, or if he had mastered the skill he wished to teach her.

"I can't control people with my powers. Especially when they are aware of what I am doing." Lana reminded him, "However, I swear I will not do anything to to you . . . YOU you." She made sure she was clear, "If you future you has gone bat shite crazy and tried to murder you--" Would that be murder or suicide? "--then I make no such promises to him."
She stepped from his way, and waited for him to open the doors. She didn't know what she expected. "Do you want to make a bet on if they have flying cars, or robot maids?" She asked, watching him and the doors.

"This should prove you wrong." Because he had come for her, even after she'd had left him. Grateful she went with him, but soon enough she began to loose that feeling and started to feel the panic rise. What was he doing?! "The other mutants are weakened because of the sedatives they were given." "And I'm not?!" She bit out, but he continued, still dead set on making his point.
"Any moment now, a group of at least three dozen armed men are going to block our exit, and round up the other mutants, including the ones who came here with me." More panic. Fear. She wanted to beg him to stop them! Why were they doing this! They needed to escape!
And as he said, it happened! "No!" "Don't move!" "Go ahead," "This isn't a game!" "It is your turn." Her turn?! He was mad! He had gone mad!
Reaching up to hold her head, one hand on each of her ears she closed her eyes, "I can't!" She could hear the guards yelling orders, freeze, get down on the ground; but all she could do was whisper "Stop them, stop them, stop them," over and over again. Then her mood shifted, and she dropped her hands while looking up at Erik and for the first time felt rage of her own making! "YOUR MAD! YOU BASTARD! STOP THIS! STOP THIS!" The louder she yelled the more the guards did, and they closer they got! Still Erik did nothing to stop them!
The fear from the mutants behind them grew, and all the storm of emotions hit her, onslaught after onslaught from both sides! It was boiling and brewing, yet on the outside she had nothing to stop it. "YOU ARE GOING TO KILL US ALL!" She yelled at him, channeling all her anger at him but his damn helmet stopped her from attacking him! Damn him! Damn his lesson! His mission! His stupid----fooking-----face----
Lana screamed at him, just as the guards opened fire at the group of mutants; letting everything she felt go and the rage she felt turn her gaze red! She screamed a long almost unended scream before she felt it and the rage trail off, leaving her blindingly staring up at Erik as the darkness took over and Lana slipped into it.
Lana's powers control emotions, but the way it does so is by playing with the pheromones and chemicals in the brain that make others feel. Spikes in some of these, can even be harmful, and kill. Unknown to Lana, she had just rendered everyone within a half mile into a coma like state . . . all but the protected Erik . . .
