Step 1: Go to your profile

Step 2: Click "Edit Profile"

Step 3: Select the option that says "Use The Uploaded/Linked" and then click the gray area that says "Uploaded/Linked"

A window like this will pop up:

You can either upload your icon from your computer, or use an online photo host (i.e photobucket, imgshack, etc) and paste the link. Your icon is typically an image/gif of your the charaacter you are role playing for. The MAXIMUM size for an icon is 150 pixels by 150 pixels. Icons can be smaller than this size, just not larger.

Step 4: Click "Save Avatar Changes"

And Voila! You now have your icon in your profile!

Bookmarking is a great way to keep track of your threads! If you have lots of different role play threads in different locations, it can sometimes be easy to overlook one, or sometimes tricky checking each and every one. If you bookmark them, you can see a list of them with one simple click! Here's a how to guide in bookmarking your threads and accessing them!

Step 1: Go to the thread you want to bookmark. At the top, click where it says "Actions" and a drop down menu will appear. Then click "Bookmark". It will look like this:

Step 2: When you have bookmarked your thread, refresh your page and a new option/button will appear at the top (right under the forum header) between "Profile" and "Messages". It will say "Bookmarks". When you click that, you will be able to see the list of threads that you have bookmarked.

And Voila! You now can keep track of all your threads!

Below is a cast list of the open and taken characters from the movies, as well as made up characters. Any characters from the movies that are not listed below are also open for application. If you have any questions, feel free to PM us the admins.

• N/A: This stands for non-applicable. You can make up details to fill these sections as it means that it is not revealed in the show thus far.
• Reserving Characters: You can reserve canons and faceclaims but they will only be held for 3 days.
• Work in Progress Bios: WIP bios will be taken down after 3 days. Please be sure to state [WIP] in the thread title of your application if it is incomplete. Also, you must send an Admin a PM when you have completed a bio so that we know to review it for approval.
• OC: Original Character: Any characters listed below that has "OC" in Availability, refers to Made Up Characters, so characters that were not in the movies (and either from the comics or completely made up), created by members here on the site.

SADDEST MOMENT

• Details: By Saddest Moment, we mean a single moment in time where the character you are writing for was extremely sad or devastated. It could be them losing someone they care about, losing their job, etc! It is open to your own preference and creativity.
• Post Limit: You can do more than one post in this thread, including more as the same character, or a different post for a different character you have. There is no limit to how many you can do, or for how many characters.
• Narrative/POV: You can either write in First Person (I, me, my, etc) or Third Person (he, she, they, etc).
• Length: There is no maximum length for your post, however it must be a minimum of one paragraph, consisting of at least 10 sentences in that paragraph.

Welcome to the posting challenges board! Here there will be different challenges with prompts and scenarios that you can respond to. Please read the instructions and guidelines below to get a better understanding of how it works.

• This is not mandatory for you to partake in. It's simply some fun prompts for you to write as your muse.
• Most of the challenges are selective for your muse, unless indicated otherwise.
• You are permitted to make more than one post for each challenge. For example: if the posting challenge is "Happiest Moment", then you can select more than one. Please just make one post per moment, rather than keep editing a single post to add on to it.
• One post in each thread will count toward your posting requirement for the week.
• The posts are not meant to be reacted to. For example, if someone has written a post in response to the prompt, the following post from another person should not be their reaction to the previous post. These are not role play threads, but rather, single individual posts. Think of them like one shot fanfics.
• There is a thread designated for each challenge. Please do not start new threads for your posts; just reply to the challenge post.
• The posts in this thread can step outside of the canon world. Events that did not occur in the show, can happen in the thread. For example, in the Saddest Moment posting challenge, a saddest moment for Rogue could be if Bobby died. The posts in these threads do not have to be canon.
• Basic forum rules still apply, i.e: no extremely graphic sexual content, no negativity, if you disagree with someone's portrayal of a character please don't attack them, check spelling and grammar for each of your posts, etc etc.

We are always taking suggestions for challenges! So feel free to send them.

Canon Characters

- Characters from the movies -

• Deceased Characters: You are permitted to be characters that died in the movie, but please be mindful of the timeline. For example: threads with Emma Frost can only take place before X-Men: Days of Future Past. You can however have more freedom in the AU board for these characters, so click HERE for more information about that.
• Multiple Face Claims: Some canons have 2 face claims, particularly a "younger" and "older" version of the character. I.e. Charles's face claims are James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart. Both of those face claims will be taken for the character. Furthermore, if the character is portrayed in the older films AND the newer one, not with an age difference but rather, as the same character just a different version (i.e. Angel, Toad, Jubilee, etc), then you can select which face claim you would like to use.
• Missing Details: If not a great deal of information is known about your character (i.e. history) then you are permitted to make it up. However, please remain consistent with the events of the show and how the character was portrayed.
• Strongest Mutants: Please note that there are canon characters that are considered to be the most powerful, strong reputed mutants (i.e. Jean Grey, Charles Xavier, Magneto, etc).

Comic Based Characters

- Characters from the comics, not in the movies -

• Powers: General rules and limitations apply for those characters in the comics. If they have multiple powers then please select only two so that things remain balanced on the board.
• Canon Mention: In the comics there are a lot of canon relations that were altered for the movies. If you play a character from the comics who has some sort of relations from a character in the movie, then you must get the permission of the member playing that canon. If the canon is not being actively played, then please contact us the admins and we will work something out.
• Selective Characters: Once again, to keep things balanced, fair, and consistent with the movies, we will not be accepting all characters from the comics. Please contact the admins to check if your character is permitted to be applied for.

Made Up Characters

- characters that are completely made up -

• Canon-Based: We are a very canon based role play so please stick as closely to the movies as you can as well as avoid mirroring any of the canons and their story lines. This is to protect those rare canons from the movies as we do not want to undermine their originality by having similar made up characters.
• Ability Limitations: When stating your character's abilities and special skills, please be sure to limit what your character can do. Be aware of the powers that canons (characters in the movies) have and please do not mimic them or try to outdo them. Be mindful of what makes them rare and unique to the movies and please be respectful of those canons and avoid mirroring their personalities and plots. Click HERE for more information about what powers we are accepting.
• Canon Mention: If you want to create a character that has a past or relationship (i.e. sibling, cousin, etc) with a canon, you must ask that member for permission and work out any necessary details with them. Please add a note in your bio stating that you have that member's permission. If a character you want to include in your bio is not being actively played on the site, then contact us admins and we will work something out.
