PROFILE TIPS

- Colored Usernames: This is for members who's character applications have been approved! You will receive a PM that will allow you to select a color unique to you that your username will be. You do not have to necessarily post everything in this color if you prefer not to; it's just something to help your profile and posts stand out. We ask that members please not select the same colors as another. On the posting page, there is a Member Colors drop down menu; you can see all the taken colors there.
- Custom Title: This is the text that appears above your avatar/icon. Again, it will be added in once your bio is approved. For mutants, your custom title will be your mutant's alias. For for example: Scott's custom title would be Cyclops, Ororo's would be Storm, etc. If your character is not a mutant, then you have the freedom to choose what you would like your custom title to be.
- Personal Text: This is the text that appears below your avatar. Typically, it is a quote from your character or a quote that describes them. Perhaps it could even be a tagline. Either way, it is something related to your character. There is a limit as to how many characters you can have in your personal text. You are also able to color your text using the basic code to do so.
- Species: If you go to Profile >> Edit Profile >> Personal and scroll down, you will see a section that says "Species" and a drop down menu. Here, you can select whether your character is a mutant or a homo sapien and it will appear in your mini profile. Be sure to click "Save Personal Settings" when you've added it in.
- Affiliation: If you go to Profile >> Edit Profile >> Personal and scroll down, you will see a section that says "Affiliation" and a drop down menu. Here, you can select whether your character is one of the following:
- X-Men: this is for the mutants who are at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, or are any way allied with Professor Xavier. It is not necessarily only those who go on all the missions.
- Brotherhood: this if for the mutants who follow Magneto and his cause. Please remember that the Brotherhood HQ is not too easily found and that Magneto and other Brotherhood mutants usually seek out others; Brotherhood mutants are not so easily located, unless they are on a mission.
- Hellfire Club: this is for the mutants who follow Sebastian Shaw and his cause. If your character was initially part of the Hellfire Club, and switched to The Brotherhood, then you can choose which Affiliation you would like to have in your profile.
- Other: this is for mutants who are perhaps part of another organization, gang, or club that does not fall in any of the above categories. You are permitted to make them up if you like, however please keep them small scale.
- Neutral: this is for mutants who do not have a side. They are loyal only to themselves, or perhaps don't have views that sway more to one team more than the other. If your character is not affiliated with anyone, then this is the category that you would select.
- Undecided: this is for mutants who perhaps have switched their alliance, or are not sure where they belong. You can of course change it whenever you like. However, it's for those who may not have fully decided what team they share the views of.
Your Affiliation can be changed whenever you like. The one that you select for your profile, does not mean that you are limited to threads where your character is affiliated with that group. For example: If your character is Azazel and you selected Hellfire Club, you can still have threads as him where he was part of the Brotherhood. Be sure to click "Save Personal Settings" when you've added it in.
[li]Occupation: This is a blank space where you can enter what your character's occupation is. Are they a professor? A leader? A doctor? A mercenary? You can fill out whatever you like here, please just ensure that it is consistent with your bio.
