First class by far. Well.. Days of future past is a close second. But Damn, Last stand was terrible. Just epically terrible. And I'm not just saying that because Mystique gets shot with the cure. I have to say the only good thing about it is that Scott dies.

Oh! I loved Scott! He was such a good guy! I picked the most recent one because despite all the plot wholes it was really well done! I loved getting to see more of Erik's history, and seeing him move more toward being the 'villain' (Though I will not call him a villain, but a freedom fighter, yeah?)
I also loved to see PETER! Quicksliver was to die for! Though I am waiting to see if they make him Erik and Magda's son or just leave it at the funny 'my mom knew an guy who could control metal'?!! I really hope the rumor of a Magneto movie is true, and they explore that more. . . . even if will kill my current plots! Oh well! Two years to enjoy them and then I can start over!
I also like how they did the early Charles, and all the bald jokes. Patrick does a kick ass joke at the calm and powerful leader, seeing him younger and a bit more off set is beautiful!
Did I talk about Quicksliver yet?
Also TOAD!

I agree that X-Men The Last Stand was pretty terrible. The fact that Mystique was almost immediately disposed of was massively disappointing. And it seemed that each character just got killed off: Scott, Charles, etc. It's interesting now with the change in the timeline to see them all alive and back together as a team.
I also have to say that thus far, Days of Future Past is my favorite. It was a toss up between that one or First Class. I am still trying to ignore the lack of continuity and mixing of messing up of timelines. For example: the fact that Charles was paralyzed at the end of First Class, but in Wolverine Origins and X-Men the Last Stand when he went to Jean's house, he was walking. That is just me being nit picky though.
I have to say that I really enjoyed seeing Erik's transition to Magneto, and how is intentions really did start with trying to help mutants. It is interesting to see how he started from a man who was more about saving mutants, transition to one who was willing to sacrifice mutants and focused more on killing humans. I thought was all really well done. The Magneto movie has been rumored for quite some time, particularly when they had created a Wolverine Origins because several of the characters were supposed to get their own origin movie (Charles, Storm, Magneto, etc). I did like that Fassy seemed willing to do an Origin movie for Magneto however the fact that they are actually doing one is just a rumor. Fingers crossed that it happens!
Love the introduction of other characters though was disappointed at how quickly they got rid of Emma, Angel, Sean, etc. I too am curious to see if they are going with Quicksilver being Erik's son. Fassy did say in an interview that his favorite scene was the "scene in the kitchen with his son". I'm not sure if he was just teasing the fact or if there is some legitimacy to it. Should be interesting, especially as Quicksilver will be in X-Men Apocalypse.
I do have to say that the actors are doing a phenomenal job portraying these huge scale mutants at a younger age. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they have in store for the next one. I can't wait 2 years!!

I love Toad! Ray Park FTW! I had a thread once where my muse tired to makes owls attack him and then he ate them! Hehe! He was trying to chance her down, but she'd run one way and he'd hop and block her, then she run the other and he'd hop and block her. SO FUNNY!

Ray Park is the man! It still makes me sad that they recasted him for Days of Future Past, and that he could not be in X-Men United due to the actor's scheduling conflict. Ah well. Toad will forever be awesome!

I agree! I loved him in so many other movies! Mortal Kombat, and Eces vs Sever (sp?)!
Also a fun fact, in the movie Kickass the two guys who play Quicksliver are in it together (X-men's and Avengers II's)

And can't forget him being Darth Maul! Mad respect to the guy for doing his own stunts. Martial artists are amazing!
Oh really? That's ironic. I hadn't seen Even Peters in much before X-Men. Then again, maybe I have and just didn't recognize him.

I dunno too much of what he is in (other then your show Criminal Minds) but I hope he is in the next X-men movie. I want to see Daddy!Erik and the story with Magda. Peter was such an awesome character!
One thing I did notice was that in First Class, there was a photo of a girl on Erik's wall near the start. I wonder if that is a nod to Magda, or to his mother. Because the girl is young, but it could have been a old photo?

The best thing about DOFP is when macavoy Charels goes and talks to Patrick Stewart. And the whole, "I DON"T WANT YOU'RE FUTURE! (FU-T-CHA)" It's delicious.
At my old High School my Art teacher was a huge Comic book movie nerd and when we would ask him a question about Last stand, he'd just say that it never happened. The poor guys still waiting for the third movie.
And the whole plot hole thing isn't that bad anymore because once you throw in time travel it's a little better since no one knows what's happening.

I liked the first three movies well enough, but I'd spend a lot of time screaming about politics and piss-poor decision-making. I love First Class, by and far. Days of Future Past was lovely as well; though I spent an arduous amount of time lamenting the continuing trend of piss-poor decision-making on all sides.

One good thing about Days of Future past personally is that I remembered that the song 'Time in a bottle" Exists and now every time I listen to it I just think of Evan peter messing shit up in slow mo.

Yes! xD Evan Peters did a fantastic job as Quicksilver. That scene was absolutely wonderful.
