She spoke of how she had hoped to hear of his death, and soon enough, she would. Or so he hoped. She asked that he not let it destroy him, and he made no such promise. While he did not have the desire to die, he would take whatever risk necessary to kill Shaw. Yet hearing her say these words . . . made him realize that perhaps there was something in his life worth living for. He watched her raise his hands to her lips, brushing against his knuckles, offering her help should he ever require it. Why was this suddenly feeling like goodbye? He was unsure whether it was displaced paranoia suddenly filling his mind, or whether she was preparing to part ways with him, now that she knew of his mission. He was not sure he was ready to let her go. And that fact along, concerned him.
"You owe me nothing," he told her, stating it as a fact rather than an assurance. Should he ever need her help with anything, it would not be because of reciprocity, but because she would be one of the few people he trusted. "Freeing someone from persecution does not merit gratitude because if someone is able to do so, then they should without seeking reward." Had he been able to do more, he would have. Had he been stronger, he would have ripped the building apart, killing everyone in his path and saving what prisoners were left from death. His words weren't meant to make him sound noble or heroic. He was neither. He was a mutant with the ability to stop humans from murdering innocent people. To withhold these abilities and use them for nothing, was the greatest crime of all. He continued to look at her, taking in her sight and her presence. "What will you do now?" He asked. She knew of his plans, what were hers? He found himself surprised at his own question, for it was the intentions behind asking them that surprised him. He asked of her plans, because he wanted her to stay with him. Not knowing how to say this, he picked a far more simple sentence to say.

To have someone waiting for him when he returned was still not something he had grown used to. They had been together for about a month, and it still left him with a certain unfamiliarity. After all, it was a month of being with her, compared years of not. Once outside the room, he waved his hand over the door, locking it and joining her in the elevator. Speaking of unfamiliarity, her domestic offers -- in this particular case to wash his clothes -- was something else he was not used to.
"That's quite alright," he said, while appreciating the offer, was accustomed to just buying new clothes when necessary. Once the elevator came, they stepped inside and he pressed the button to take them to the main floor. While they were inside, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pouch filled with money. He then wordlessly and rather casually handed it to her. His lifestyle didn't exactly offer the opportunity for a job. So he just took what he needed, when he needed it. It was rather easy after all. Most safes were made out of metal as were other protective barriers around money, not to mention coins themselves. He was not with her during the day, so the least he could offer her was some means to get what she required.

She said that she wanted to stay here, and Magneto felt an inevitable wave of relief wash over him. He may not show it, but he felt it. Strongly. Not only did she want to stay, but her next words revealed that she wanted to stay, with him. And it was possible. This time, knowing she was a mutant, it was possible. She added on that she wished to learn and control her powers, and Magneto would give her that. Offer her the proper training to control the incredible gift she possessed. With how the world was advancing, technology would soon replace nearly everything. She would have control over so much. And he wanted her to feel that power; feel that dominance. Show that she need not be afraid, for she could overcome any opponent, regardless of how formidable they may seem. Her question distracted him from saying any of this, as she inquired as to whether anyone would care that she was.
He knew what she meant by that. There was a bond he had with her that could not be replaced or compensated for by anyone else. He had been with her, believing she was a human. His hatred for homo sapiens had not stopped that. And it was not for just anyone that he would overlook this hatred for, and form a legitimate relationship with. Even if it had only lasted a few months, their departure from each other was not due to lacking feelings. "No," he answered bluntly. Whatever relations he had engaged in the past with whichever women, did not result in long lasting intimate relationships. He did not return the question to her, for whether she was with someone or not, she was here with him now. And he knew she would mention if that needed to change. "Those feelings of strength are within you," he said, returning the topic of her developing her powers.
Why? Because he did not know how to define them. He did not know how to state what he wanted when it came to them. It was easier to talk about her abilities, rather than his deep affections and love for her. "I will help you make them to surface." When she was fully healed and better able to start training. "But for now, you should rest." She had been through quite an ordeal. With saying those words, part of him -- most of him -- wanted her to stay here, in his company. In his bed. Yet the other, less dominating part, wondered if it would be better for her to be in her own room. Seeing her again, filled him with that familiar desire of wanting her. Of needing to be with her. Stronger now, knowing she was a mutant. "I will show you to your room." With that, he rose to his feet, immediately turning around so that he would not let his desires get the better of him.

He listened to her explain the plans her day held. She was still seeking out her people, and he could understand her need to find someone that she knew. Despite his understanding, he could not help her. He had his own people to find. Still, he wished her well in her attempts, knowing that it was disappointing at times when she did not find those she knew. He reached for his hat and put it on his head. "I cannot today," he told her. Spending time with her was . . . well, Erik had to admit that it was wonderful. But he also knew it was not reality. It was his temporary escape from everything else. Though the temporary aspect of it was slipping away and becoming more frequent. He paused for a moment, looking at her while he spoke his next words.
"I hope you find what you seek," he told her, wanting her to know he was sincere in what he said. With those words, he reached for the keys to the hotel room and handed them to her. "I will be back late tonight," he informed her. If this man led to another then he would not waste time tracking him down as well. With every man he found, he was getting closer and closer to his true target. He then went to the door and held it open for her, waiting for her to step through before he did the same.

She proved how well she knew him. She was able to see past the guarded expression he constantly wore. Able to determine what was deep within him, without having seen him these past several years. She recognized the way he looked at her and that . . . left him concerned. Because he did not want to feel for her what he did. He wanted to live this life of solitude so that all his attentions could be focused on Shaw. Yet, here she was. And he found it difficult to even consider walking away from her. She was so convinced that he was alive, and part of him knew he wasn't. Not in the way that a living man should be. He did not know what his life would be after his vengeance was satisfied. Each time she touched him reminded him of the man he could not be. The man that he was robbed of being. And he could not decide if that was a good or bad thing. When her hands fell back to his, he looked down at them, watching her trace his lines, hearing her speak true words. He was angry. He had not let go. And then, she questioned his powers.
His gaze remained on her hands. He was not ashamed of what he could do. In fact, he used it to instill fear in others. That was what Shaw had wanted after all, wasn't it? For him to be unleashed; to break the young boy into an uncontrolled frenzy of anger. To give him as much possible pain as he could so that his powers would be exposed. Well, Erik was going to return that favor to Shaw. So he could not, would not, reject his powers. She was one of the first people to really know what he was, and that part of him had not changed. It had only become stronger. His eyes stayed fix on her hands, and without verbally answering her question, he used his abilities to pull out the coin from his pocket. It floated in the air, toward his hand where he gently placed it in the palm of his hand that she still held. Looking at the coin for some time, he finally raised his gaze to look back up into her eyes. "He created what I am." Erik was not dismissive of that, but nor was he grateful for the methods Shaw had used. "And he will be destroyed by it." He could no longer prolong telling her. For she would be able to see it in his eyes whenever Shaw's name was brought up.

She had lost her people, and Erik knew that feeling. It was one that he wished she had been spared from. She had told him of how gypsies traveled together, and were practically their own community. They were very close knit, and for her to lose that . . . well, it further proved just how devastating the war was, including the aftermath of it. He did not know what to say; what words to use to comfort her. He had none. How could he attempt to comfort another when his own soul was so broken. So any attempt to grant her peace were lost, for he was not the person to do so. Even if part of him wished he could be. She then asked him what had happened to him, expressing her fear that they had killed him after having helped her. They had tried. But because of his angered state, he had killed them before they were able to cause him any further harm. He had destroyed the lab in his fit of anger, and quickly escaped after that. But, telling her where his focus was now, was a tad bit difficult. It was long. Complicated. And at the same time, not so complicated for perhaps she of all people would understand. "I escaped shortly after you," he began to say, not about to elaborate in the past several years, but giving her some form of an answer.
She had after all, told him. "As many others, lived from street to street." No home. No family. He had just been a young boy, but one who's survival was fueled by anger and revenge. He looked off to the distance, thinking about the past years, uncovering one truth after another about Shaw, his real name included in that list. "He had taken my humanity from me," he continued, because Erik was not human. He was a mutant. And Shaw, was Erik's creator. He had unleashed the beast within him. And now, would suffer at his hands. So while his words held literal meaning, it could also suggest a far more philosophical one and he was not about to explain which one he meant it as. Snapping back into the current moment, and not wishing to talk of Shaw, he moved closer to her, pulling his seat closer so that he was sitting directly in front of her. He slightly leaned forward, extending his hands a little so that his palms were facing up. "Tell me, what do you see?" he said, referring to her abilities to read palms and such, in almost a teasing way but also with truth. His expression held less of a teasing one and more of an intrigued and curious one. He knew that her people did read fortunes; perhaps have a sense of auras surrounding a person. In truth, it was about trying to see what she could sense about him; if she could see past his guarded expression. She had seen him at his worst, seen him when he'd been emotionally vulnerable as a boy. And despite their long time apart, he believed she still knew him better than anyone else.

As she got ready, he pulled his pants on and went to the washroom to freshen up, stepping out as she asked him if he would join her for breakfast. She understood his need to find Shaw and while he was slowed down, the entire mission was not halted. For that, he was relieved. For otherwise, it would have forced him to make a decision to choose between her and Shaw. And while that choice still may be coming, he did not have to be faced with it now. He reached for his shirt, pulling it over his head, thinking over her question though he knew his answer. He paused for a moment, taking a few steps toward her, until he was standing in front of her.
"It would be my pleasure," he told her, leaning forward and tilting his head down for another kiss. Not one that lingered as much as the others, but still held passion to it. He turned once again to continue getting ready, pulling on his scarf and jacket. "Is there somewhere you need to go?" He asked, his offer to take her somewhere while he carried on his plans. He knew of a place where one of Shaw's former associates tended to spend a great deal of time at. He would wait there until the man came and then use some rather unconventional methods of interrogation. He often left these details out of his plans whenever Magda inquired curiously about them. "I will be able to take you before going to my own destination," he added. He could not always, but today, he had some time to spare.

She made it clear that she would no longer be passive of what was happening to their people. Whether that meant actively participating in their cause, or just embracing her abilities, Magneto was unsure. She then asked if she could stay here, with him and the others, or return to the safehouse shelter where the others had been dropped of. If there was one thing Magneto would not do, it was force someone to stay and fight for their cause. Those who were with him now, were strongly loyal. But should they have change of heart, Magneto would not destroy them or somehow force them to stay. It was of their own free will to leave, just was it was to join. He knew what he preferred, but he also led a very different life than hers. If this was the life she wanted, then he would be here for her. If it was not, then . . . well, he could not control her mind. He could perhaps, persuade it a little. "If you return to where the others are, then you can live among them. They are civilians, still unsure of their abilities and what path society had laid out for them. They remain together, finding safety in the company of others like them."
Neither life was safer for mutants were always in danger, but those ones were not embarking on missions. "Should you decide to stay here, you will be apart of The Brotherhood. A group of us who fight for mutant rights. Who actively engage in this war that has already commenced." Some people believed a war was coming. They did not realize that the war was already here. "I can also help you understand your powers. Perfect them so you have full control and are able to realize your potential." A promise he often made to most mutants, for a lot of them were unsure of their abilities. But it was different when making this offer to Magda. Because, he had something personally invested in her. Even if he did not say as much to her as part of his conviction for her to stay. "I can better protect you here," he added, for if she was not with him, then he would not be able to constantly see if she was safe. His current Wanted status prevented him from making too many appearances without carefully planning it through. "The choice is yours to make." He could not ask her to stay for him, but rather, for the cause. If the two were intertwined, then even better. He wanted her here to see her and ensure her safety, but this was a drastically different lifestyle than what she was perhaps accustomed to.

Magda was starting to explain things. While he continued his work stitching the wound closed, he was intently listening to every single word she spoke. She could control electric things; she was a technopath. It made sense, considering how she could control the plane. But he had never considered her powers when they had last been together. She had distracted him from so much, and he had not been able to be angry at her for it. He had enjoyed it. Cherished that time they were together. Only to have it come to a tragic end, like most endings where homo sapiens were involved. Or that was what he had believed. But she was not a human, she was one of them. A mutant. He was forced to stop his work when she pulled her hands from it and it forced him to make eye contact with her. Though she was still adverting her gaze on him, his was fixed on her, trying to see what emotions he could behind her eyes, behind her expression. She spoke of what would have been their daughter. Lost, once again at the hands of humans. He kept his face calm, composed, almost expressionless as he had learned to control his emotions. Yet, she knew the most vulnerable side to him. Because she had made him love her. Not with any mutant ability, but through a far more natural process.
He could see the tears in her eyes, but he made no attempt to comfort her. Especially when she was talking about how she did not want her gifts; how she had tried to reject them. It made him angry. Angry at those who forced hers -- and so many other mutants -- to live in constant fear. Afraid to embrace their gifts because society told them it was an abomination; a curse against human kind; a plague that should be stopped. Their child would have been a mutant, yet she was killed of men who persecuted others. All it did, was further fuel his hatred for homo sapiens. Finally, she looked at him, her tear filled eyes causing a mix of emotions deep within him. She feared for their daughter, having known the likelihood of her also being a mutant. He had not. There was a chance, but not a guarantee, or so that was what he'd believed at the time. She admitted that the thought of coming to him and crossed her mind, yet at the time, he had been obsessed on finding Shaw. And quite honestly, it was Charles who really helped control his abilities; helped him use something apart from anger to do what he would not have been able to do for a long time, if ever.
Still, he believed he could have somehow spared her from this fear and living in trepidation, if only it was by protecting her better. But instead, she had changed her name and hid. Hid from the world, hid from exposing who she truly was. The outcome of it making her attempts futile. It proved that living in fear was only temporarily successful. That no matter what, they would be found because they were constantly hunted. And why? Because they were different. Because humans knew they were superior and feared extinction. Magneto would prove to them that their fears were legitimate. That mutants would dominate the earth. He could feel the rage for them building inside of them, but it was contained within his heart and soul. She was a casualty of their war. Though she survived, the damage that they did was permanent. They had killed their family. They had killed their child. They had taken years of her life from her. And it would stop. Which meant, they needed to fight harder. She then finished by saying that he had known, he had been right. And yes. He knew that to be the truth. Not because of hubris or arrogance, but because of the very real evidence. Her story being part of it, and then the future being another massive part. What Logan had told them . . . even Charles admitted it. Yet the man would continue to hope that humans would change, where as Magneto would not wait until hundreds more mutants died until there was the possibility that humans stopped killing them. It was far too high a price to pay for hope.
He let her words linger in his mind, taking them in, processing every she was telling him. He broke eye contact and looked up at the needle and thread in her forehead. Without lifting his hands, and only needed to use minimal focus, he used abilities to make the last stitch, cut it with the scissors and then set the supplies down on the table next to them. He then lowered his gaze to look back at her. He was a different man since they last met, and she was a very different woman. "The only way for them to learn from the past, is to solidify our future." This was where Magneto emerged. He knew he had won her over. He could sense it in her voice, hear it from her words, and see it in her eyes. They were the future, a line that he often expressed to others. "Do not hide anymore." It was not an order, but it was still an instructional statement. Hearing that she had to hide this long, upset him. Not entirely at her, but more so, the reasons she had to. "There is no need to." Because she could be here with him. Here, with The Brotherhood. "For our time is coming. In fact, it is already here. To unite, stand strong against persecution and oppression." She more than anyone would understand. "Whether you are Magda or go by another name, you can not change who you are. Would you deny your Gypsy heritage for the sake of assimilating to what is deemed normal in society?" It was a rhetorical question, for he knew she would not. "Likewise, you should not deny your gifts. You should use them. Be proud of them. Accept them." Something that it seems she had not done as of yet. "Embrace them. Embrace who you are, Magda. And do not be afraid of what makes you stronger than any human could possibly be." Mutants were the dominant race. They just needed to stand strong and not be afraid to show it.

Erik listened quietly, but attentively, as she began to explain what had happened following the war. She, as so many others, had lost their families. His mother had been shot before his eyes, and his father had been gassed in a chamber. Magda shared similar losses, her mother and father both murdered at the hands of evil. He wished he had been able to save them all. Even though they were homo sapiens, his anger for the men at the camp trumped his hatred for homo sapiens. He knew what persecution was, for he was subject to it from two different fronts: his religion and heritage, and his mutant abilities. He was however, glad that she had made it out. All this time, he had feared the worst. He had only been able to help one person in that camp. But with what Shaw had unleashed inside Erik . . . well, Erik planned to show him the repercussions of his experiment and torture.
She had spoken of how she'd been looking for him. The irony. For he had found her without looking for her. And at a time when he was fixated on finding someone else. He had discovered what Shaw was. He was far more than a scientist; far more than what he had let on in the camp. His mind would always be filled with thoughts of him, yet right now, he was taking in her story, her past, what had happened after the last time he saw her. He remained quiet for a short while. The war had destroyed so many lives with death. Even those that survived, were suffering the aftermath of it. "Many have suffered at the hands of men," he spoke, his words starting to reveal his hatred for them. Though it was a mutant who had tortured him, it was humans who had started the war. "And they will continue to," he added. Unless something was done. What that something was, he did not know. For his priorities lay in his own personal vendetta. "Are you with your people now?" He asked, wondering if she had come with them, or if she had come here on her own. Looking for him. Should he feel guilty for not having tried to find her? He was unsure what emotions he should be feeling right now. Thus, the most dominant one being, conflicted.

He had woken her. Though he did not feel guilty for it as he rather enjoyed her company. He gave a small smile at her words, trying to convince him to stay in bed longer. Perhaps when his task was complete, things would be different. He did not know what the future held in store for them, and it was the one plan that he could not make. He remained silent as she came closer to him, wrapping her arms around him. His placed a hand on one of her arms, gently caressing her soft skin with the tip of his thumb. His gaze remained forward, feeling that immense comfort he experienced whenever she was near, and it was strongest when she was awake, and near him as she was now. Her skin against his. She then continued to tease him, saying that he had let the lamp when, and questioning whether he was pleased with himself.
His expression turned into a slight smirk at this question, responding to it with a returning tease. "When am I not?" He questioned rhetorically, simultaneously turning his head to look at her. Taking advantage of their closeness, his needed only to lean forward a little until their lips touched. The sensation of her lips against his was so incredible, and one that never seemed to diminish despite the frequency of this embrace, and far more. His hand went to her cheek pulling her closer and holding her in place against him. Letting the kiss linger for some time, he finally pulled away, knowing he would not get anywhere for hours if he were to continue. It would only backtrack him back to their bed. He turned his head forward again, his hand falling from her cheek, but his other still on her arm. "I must get ready," he told her. With his free hand, he held it up and with his powers, pulled toward him his pants, using the metal of the buckle that was still attached to them.

Erik was laying in bed, his eyes opening to the sun that was peaking through the window. The past several mornings he had woken up this way; a drastic change from the earlier days. And one that he was unsure how much longer would last. While he had not put his mission on hold, he had ultimately slowed it down, for the sake of one woman: Magda Eisenhardt. He looked to his side, seeing her sleeping soundly. It was these moments, where he just looked at her, his mind reflecting over their . . . relationship. She was a human, and while he loathed them, he could not distance himself from her. He should. He knew it was the wisest thing to do. And yet, these mornings he had woken up next to her, the days they spent together, and the nights they expressed their love for one another, were perhaps the most happy days he could have possibly ever imagined having. How did he give that up? Yet, how could he accept a human in his life?
Not wanting to let these thoughts spoil his mood, he deeply inhaled, continuing the awakening process. Turning to the side he extended his hand and used his powers to bring his watch to him, allowing him to check the time. It was later than he was used to waking up. Then again, he hardly ever slept at night. That is, until she had re-entered his life. His lack of sleep was now for entirely different reasons. She was laying on his chest, his arm draped around her to hold her close. He slowly and carefully began to sat up right, ensuring not to create too much of an abrupt movement as to wake her. Slightly shifting to the side so that her cheek was now against the pillow instead of him, he turned his head, taking in his surroundings and already planning what was to be done today. Tag Magda

Takes control of the Sentinals, makes a public display of his power, and gives a televised speech, on an international level, for all mutants to band with him. Brotherhood becomes more publicized. Magneto escapes captivity and is one of the most wanted men in the world. Newspaper article clipping shows "World Leaders unite to capture "Magneto".
- 1973 - 1983: Magneto continued to form The Brotherhood, recruiting more members. However, they did not engage in any overly radical attacks. They worked to break mutants out of experimental facilities, train them, and defend themselves against humans. It was during this time that he reconnected with Magda. The two were married and she travelled with him as he embarked on his missions. Eventually, they had a daughter named Nina who was also a mutant. In the pursuit of Magneto (still one of the world's most wanted men), Nina and Magda were attacked, a scene that Magneto had joined right in time. He rescued them and realized that he could not continue on this path. He decided to place the Brotherhood on hold, moving to Poland with his wife and daughter, changing his name and residing as a civilian.
- 1983: Apocalypse took place. It was here that Erik lost his wife and daughter and joined forces with Apocalypse, until realization dawned on him and he instead, fought to protect Charles and the other mutants in danger.
- 1983 - 1993: Magneto returned to the Brotherhood after events of Apocalypse to reform and stabilize the faction. He was pardoned for his crimes, the truth coming to light in that he did not assassinate John F Kennedy and in recognition of his aid in stopping a threat, he was granted land. Specifically, it was an island that served as a mutant sanctuary. While Erik and the others still engaged in smaller scale acts activism (i.e. freeing mutants from experiment facilities, etc), the island served as a means for mutants to live peacefully, away from the threat of homo sapiens.
- 1993 - Onward: Magneto returned to the island of Genosha to continue his previous work. He did offer Charles a home, recognizing the drastic changes his friend faced. Other than that, Erik continues to make the island a safe haven for mutants and strives to protect their kind. It eventually becomes a functioning city, with a capital, and well developed region. It was also during this time that he discovers that Lorna is his daughter.

As he was gathering supplies, his power enabled him to remove the helmet from his head and set it on the table near him. He also used it to unclip his cape and hung it on the hook. When he had all that he needed, he walked to the chair across from her, setting the supplies down on the table next to them. Firstly, he dabbed a cloth in bowl of water and began to gently dab away the blood surrounding her injury. She had spoke his name: Erik. He had not hurt anyone call him that for some time, because now, he was Magneto. Best known as such and would continue to spread his reputation under his true mutant name. But he did not correct her. Because out of everything, that was such a trivial detail. She thanked him for saving her, and once again, he was unsure what to say. So he resorted to silence, continuing to gently dab the blood away, dipping the towel in the water every so often so that he could clean it properly.
When the blood was cleared, he set down the cloth and picked up the needle and thread. "Hold still," he stated. As gently as he could, he pierced the skin with the needle and began to stitch the wound to stop the bleeding. After a few more moments of silent passed, he kept his eyes attentive to the current task he was performing, but his words were of another topic. "You should have told me." She should not have kept it from him, because he could have helped her. All this time, over ten years, he had believed her to be a homo sapien. Only to now, find out in possibly the worst way. He could have protected her; kept her safe, with him. "Why did you not?" He asked, wondering what her reasoning behind withholding this from him was.

She suggested spending some time together, and while Erik would like that, he could not promise that. As he previously recognized, he was a man who planned but with Magda, he didn't know. Letting himself feel this for her was dangerous. Even though it was not fully registering in his mind just at, it was always there: she was not a mutant. Still, it currently did not affect his interactions with her nor the emotions her presence elicited in him. She spoke of how she wanted to ask so many questions, afraid to ask certain ones. She was right in feeling such a way. For he suspected that some of the answers she gave him, would not be ones she would want to hear. Particularly, the truth about Shaw -- or as they knew him Doctor Klaus Schmidt.
She motioned to the chairs and he obliged, taking a seat, a silent indicator that he wanted to know more about her and what she had done when released from the camp. "Please," he urged. "I would like to hear it." It mattered to him, even though it shouldn't. He should be focused on what he had dedicated his current life to, but instead, he was more intrigued in hearing about Magda. Was she able to stay safe? Had any Nazis gotten a hold of her? Erik had killed those along his path to finding Shaw, and each time he did, did not feel a single ounce of remorse or regret for his actions. That, was the kind of man he had become and the one he did not know whether she would accept or understand.

She seemed to have a fairly good grasp of her powers. It made him wonder how long she had known. How long she had practiced. When they were together all those years ago, she had her powers then. He still did not know how she defined them, but what mattered was that she had them. The landing was a little rocky, and while Erik had managed to keep his position -- as he was seated properly -- Magda fell forward too quickly for him to have stopped the collision of her head against the panel. She was holding it and he looked closely at her, leaning forward. He put his hand on hers that was against her head and slowly pulled it away. His eyes looked over her wound, concern in his eyes, though maintaining the same expression. It would not too severe. He would be able to stitch that. He released her hand and pulled the doors open to the helicopter when they were firmly on the ground. He got out first, and then extended her hand to help her out. "Inform the others of our success tonight," he told Toad. This way, they could focus their energy on the next task . . . which had yet to be determined.
Right now, Magneto's determination was rested on Magda, and ensuring her well being. Staying near her, he pushed open the doors with his abilities. The Brotherhood Headquarters, for the time being, was a large abandoned estate. He had plated the outside walls with metal so that he could maintain control of it should they ever be discovered. There was a great deal of land around them, so it was open, able to detect when an enemy was approaching. So far, it was serving them well, but as always, it would only be a matter of time until they would have to move. He escorted her inside, leading her to his bedroom where he could tend to her wound. He kept his gaze forward, his mind still filled with thoughts and remaining silent the entire time. He was not necessarily angry with her. He was just . . . still trying to let everything sink in. Once they arrived at his room, he waved open the metal door and stepped inside. Once she was inside, without looking he closed the door behind her. "Sit," he said, using his abilities to pull out a chair for her, as he gathered the supplies he needed to tend to her injury.

Erik watched her move toward the window as he took his jacket off and hung it on the coat hook. She explained that she was a few blocks from the wall, and unsure where she would be staying tonight. Part of him wanted to ask her if she would stay with him. The other part of him knew he could not form such words. While he was a man who planned and strategized, this was not something he could formulate a plan for. She then asked how long he was staying here for. "I am not sure," he answered truthfully. "Perhaps a couple of weeks." Depends how much information he could gather from here. He recalled what she had told him about her people; never settling in one place. He supposed it would have added to the difficulty if he'd attempted to find her. And it was also why he wanted to spend the time they had now together, unsure of when he would see her again.
With her standing near him, he took the opportunity to look at her. Really look at her. Letting himself feel whatever emotions she had caused to stir inside of him. Ones he'd thought himself incapable of feeling. He had wanted to talk to her in private, but now, he didn't know what it was that they need talk about. "I often thought of what I would say to you should we ever meet. Yet now it seems that I can not think of a single thing." What truly mattered right now? What needed to be said? What needed to be understood? He had no answers to any of these questions. They were so different, and yet, for some reason, fate had decided to bring them together now.

While Erik worked well under pressure, it was his first time controlling so many aircrafts at once, and in addition to that, the missiles they were firing at them. He kept his eyes closed, maintaining a calm mind and composed manner. However, there was a sudden shift in the movement and it caused Erik to opened his eyes. He looked forward and noticed the helicopter was moving. He looked to his side and noticed that Toad was not using any controls. And then he looked between them and saw Magda; he hand extended. She was doing this. What specifically her powers were, Erik still did not know. He could make some educated guesses, but now was not the time for that. He continued to gaze at her, feeling awe and pride. Yes. A great deal more pride than before. Because not only was she a mutant, but she was using her abilities in front of them. To save them. She then said three words that filled him with stronger emotions. All for her. While he did not often need permission or encouragement from another to kill those who persecuted him, it was different hearing these words from her. And it did indeed motivate him.
Finding a new degree of strength, he turned his head forward again. This time, his eyes remained open. His expression intense. He raised his hands and brought the plans into view in front of them. He then forced them to collide together, causing a massive explosion before their eyes, knowing Magda could maneuver the helicopter to avoid the aftermath of the explosion. He then took care of the remaining two planes by causing the missiles that they had just fired, to hit one and then the other, furthermore, controlling the planes so that they were forced in the direct path of the missile, giving them no possibility to avoid it. The threats were eliminated, for now. Toad looked between the two of them and just folded his arms behind his head, leaning back in his seat. It wasn't too much longer until Erik noticed the coordinates, and found that they had arrived at their destination. "Land here," he instructed in a low voice, leaving how the authoritative command he often used when giving instructions.

Erik's small smiled remained at her question. Her inquiry of him having imagined her. She was always in his mind, somewhere. Even if Shaw tended to dominate most of his thoughts, she was whom he thought of when he needed solace; when he needed peace; even when he just needed to sleep. With all the hate that had corrupted his heart and soul, all channeled toward one man, she was the only thing that kept him from crossing that line of insanity. "All the time," he answered honestly. "And yet not nearly enough." Another truth. She was always there, but he had not prioritized finding her. She was forever in his heart, wherever it was still beating. He knew he was not the man he should be but this was the man he felt he was meant to be. The war had done this to him. Shaw had done this to him. So whatever happened afterwards, was all done in the name of justice.
As they arrived at the hotel, he held the door open for her and made his way to the elevator, pushing the button. It did not take long for it to arrive and he allowed her to step in first before joining her and getting them to the desired room. He opened the door for her, once again, waiting for her to enter before he did the same, closing the door behind them. He set his hand on the side table, briefly glancing at his briefcase which contained all his files on Shaw thus far. He had not yet put them up on the wall, and perhaps that was for the best, considering she was here now. He wouldn't be able to hide it from her for long, but for now, it was not about Shaw. It was about them. "How far are you staying?" He asked, wondering if she was anywhere nearby, or quite a distance from here.

He had been looking outside, and then at Toad, at the window in front of them, but inevitabely, his eyes went to hers. It seemed that the timing was perfect to for she returned his gaze. He was unsure what was being revealed on his current expression. It was a serious one, due to the circumstances, but there was also a far great deal more. Hurt, that he had not known who she was. Still anger, at those who had taken her. And pride, that she was a mutant. That she was one of them. Part of the reason they had parted ways was because he had believed her to be a human. He could not build a life with a homo sapien. Whatever relations he may have had in the past with them, were non committal. For her to have been a mutant all this time though . . . he was still in the works of processing it. Still in disbelief. Having locked his gaze with her, thinking all these things, the helicopter suddenly jolted with great force. "We've been hit!" Toad revealed.
Magneto had not been paying attention, and inwardly cursed himself for not having been more perceptive of their surroundings. He moved to the front seat, sitting next to Toad. He saw another missile coming toward them, only this time, he held out his hand and was able to push it to the side, re-channeling its target so that it instead, hit one of the other planes that was here to take them down. Two more missiles came their way and Magneto used the strength within him to alter their course as well. This would be endless. Instead, he decided to go for the larger targets. They were surrounded by four planes. He closed his eyes, and shifted all his strength into the controlling of these planes and whatever weapons they were attempting to fire at them. While doing this however, he could feel the helicopter losing its control and starting to become rickety, until it could no longer withstand the damage and began to fall toward the ground. Erik was putting all his concentration into the aircrafts, and couldn't hold on to the helicopter either. All he could do was hope that he got to it in time, but he could feel them falling fast.
