His words hurt! Like a knife that he might have well sued his powers and cut her with. "Don't you dare speak to me so!" She bit out, standing on her feet, feeling the anger in her. "I never once made you feel that I was shamed of you! Or not proud to be by your side! Nor have I have done so for Peter! I have done EVERYTHING that I have done to make sure that he knew he was loved and accepted!"
"You want a war, Erik! You came here for Peter because he was another mutant for your army, not because you wanted to thank him or offer him some guidance!" She ran her fingers in her hair, and then dropped them sharply to her side. "He is a child. When he is an adult, he will be reasonable for himself, and I want him to be able to do that. Not having you come around while he is impressionable and giving him glorious speeches of a liberty he doesn't understand!"
"You use words like them and us, but Peter is a bit of both! I'm human Erik! I thought that didn't matter to you once, but apparently it did! Apparently nothing was as I remembered it! Did you care at all? Or did you only hate me a little less?"
'I don't hate you, Mommy.' No! "No!" Pushing past Erik, Magda ran to her daughter and gently but firmly pushed her from the room. "Go back to your room! Stay there until I come for you! Do not come back in here until then!"

Her glasses begin to slipping and she jerked her hands up to stop them,--only to have them get stuck in mid air, and her glasses to be removed. Erik. Metal. She'd forgotten to remove it all. He knew now. Once her hands could move, she lifted them up to remove the hood, and then the wig. Tossing the win to the side, she pulled the hoodie over and off her. It was too late to hide anymore, anyhow.
At first she could not met his eyes, as her heart rate kicked up. Erik knew it was her now. Knew she was a mutant. A mother. Soon he'd do the math. Peter was his son. Looking back at him, she took a deep breath. "Yes." Admitting it was her wasn't the hardest part of what she had to say either; because right now she feared he'd take it out on her son--their son. Taking out any anger he might feel over her lying to him. She feared right now that he'd want nothing to do with her, and that he might delay going for Peter because of it.
She used to know him, but with everything she'd seen and heard--did she know him still? Was he that Erik any longer? "I know you think me weak, Erik. For pretending to be human, for not being able to protect my son. But my love for him is not weak. It is all I have left. For my son and my daughter. I need to be there for him . . . like I was for you. I need to make sure that he knows he is loved and that I will be there for him."
"I do not want him to take this and become bitter and hateful with the world around him, like I fear you have become." For everything he said to her earlier still rang in her mind. "I rather he still find the good in this world--" Her hand lifted the necklace she wore, the one she always wore. The one Erik made for her as a child, "--Like his father once did."
Stepping closer she refused to look away from his face, "I am going with you, Erik, to save our son."

"They could not at first," At first. That sounded like a few stories that would have to wait another day--NO! No other days could be had! Erik could not be here when Peter returned! He needed to be gone sooner or he would learn that Peter was his son. "They contained me in a cell made entirely of glass." Was that all it took? A glass cage to hold a man who was as strong as Erik was. Is.
"Your son is rather intelligent." Magda had been staring at him, and now she closed her eyes, and glanced to the side. Peter got many things from his father. Mutant powers, brains, and the arrogance. "He managed to get inside of where they held me by breaking the surrounding glass." Oh Peter. Opening her eyes she forced them back to Erik, "You would be proud to know that he did not kill anyone." Proud?
"My 16 year old son broke into a glass prison to break out a man who was charged with killing the leader of the free world, and I should be proud?" Magda held her hands out from her, and then ran them through her hair. "If he'd had been caught, then they would put him in one too. They'd label him a mutant and I'd lose him. Everything I have done since the moment I found out he was growing in me, has been to keep him safe and alive!"
"This is not a good thing. I am glad to see you are out of that . . . . cage . . . they put you in, but Peter cannot take these risks!" Her right hand shook as it moved to rest over her left forearm. There on her arm was a tattoo of Anya's name put there to cover her numbers from the camp. She would not risk another child being lost. "I think you should leave." She whispered, not meeting his eyes.

He was human; as if that could turn him into anything else. She needed him to clear his head and be Erik! She needed him strong right now and thinking clearly! "Erik, they will not find out. Not until we are ready! You are the smartest man I know, and together we can help you--there has to be a cure. Anything done can be undone." What had happened to his friend? The bald annoying one that he liked so much? "Uh...uh...Charles!" That one! "He and and Hank once cured Charles of his powers!"
But it wasn't like this, and it was in small timely amounts! "If could be like that. We only need to find someone who has the knowlage to undo this." Magda prayed that would work--if only to give him enough hope to get moving again, though she knew that this wasn't something Erik would ever just get over. His life was his powers. Everything was his mutant self.
Everything. "The Germans could not take your religion from you, and nor can the humans take this. You are a mutant, Erik. Just because you . . . for now . . . do not have your powers does not change the biology of your body or the passion in your heart. We are going to need you now."
"These people here, they follow your leadership. I am here for you Erik, more then any cause. There could have been hundreds of groups of mutants who hate humans around the world but there is not. There is your brotherhood. We are here because of you. I love you. Not the power, but the man. They will follow the man, as long as you stay strong and true to your purpose."
"Until we are ready for them to know of this blow, then we will pretend it has not happened. We will seek a reversal, and tell no one. . . . . . yes?"

The men. Not here to talk to her son about a school--but to talk him into breaking his father out of prison. "The one with the arms, the one with all the hair, and the nerd?" She asked mostly to herself. Starring off into the distance she felt angry and betrayed. "They came into my home and asked this of my son?" She didn't care who they were, if she ever saw them again she'd.......she'd. .......something bad.
Looking back at Eric, she tried to foucse on the story and not her anger. "How did they know him?" And almost more importantly, "how did a prison hold you?" And even more so, "how did he help you?" Erik better start giving her more detail too, or he'd share his friends fate.

His words made her eyes closed, and she tilted her face away. True. She had not been strong enough, or fast enough. She had failed protecting this child almost as much as Anya. But she would not loose another! She would not bow or break this time! She was going to save her son even if she had to make a deal with the devil. "I am going." She said softly but firmly. "I know the loss of a child already and I will not risk it again. I know the pain of what they might do to him, for I have seen it and seen what it does to a person and I will not let him face the same!" Her voice became stronger and louder as she grew angry and more determined . . . And the false accent slipped to let the hint of her true one come out. "I will not let him face this alone! He will know I will fight for him or die trying."
"I have seen when men do evil things in the name of fear-on both sides. My burdens will not become his! My nightmares. I will be there for him, as everything I have done since his birth has been for him. For his sister. You can mock me, don me weak, and make me feel like a terrible person, but you know what they did to you! You know as well as I how having some there would--" No! She'd said too much. Exposed too much of herself when blinded by her anger. "I....I mean....." shite!

Magda shuffled the desk of cards in her hand, as she mindless sat back in one of the main rooms, located in the Brotherhood. She had many things on her mind, but non of them were ones she wanted to think on right now. She needed the relaxing break of not thinking about the chaos of her life. So much had happen in her life time, and yet she still knew she'd done almost nothing with it until recently.
Hearing someone enter from behind her, she turned her head to look over her should with a soft smile. "Hello." Magda greeted before looking back at the cards in her hand. They were a representation of her past; and sometimes she liked just the feel of them in her hands--just as a reminder of simpler times. . . . which weren't even really that simple either.
[Taryn; if you are ready to play, so am I!]

Magda laughed silently at his first words but then smiled up at him at his second ones. She tilted her head down and turned her body so her chin rested on her shoulder and she could look up at him, from under her lashes, in her best 'evil' look. "Ho suggestive of you Erik." She teased him, taking the bread from him. "I think you get into enough trouble for us both."
Which was true, for he was hunting a man to kill, "So I will stay far from it." Or well, try--she tended to find trouble on her based just on who she was--or as others looked at it 'what' she was. Because they distrusted her race, and thought them thieves and devil worshipers. Which they were not . . . at least not the later. Leaning over she kissed the the corner of his lips quickly, before going back to eating her bread. "Be safe." She didn't want him to get killed. "See you tonight. . . . and then that craving you spoke of earlier . . . we might see what we can do about that."
Leaving with him that tease, she got up and began walking toward where she needed to go, looking back over her shoulder once to grin at him.

There was only so long they could keep the truth from the world. They had to act quickly. They needed to make it known they were not beaten or cowarded by this idea of a weaponized cure. "Another proof of their cowardice!" She bit out, "Once again they take the choice from us rather then offer it freely--though she hated the idea of offering it freely too.
"Erik, look at me." He was still avoiding her gaze, "look at my face!" She moved around so she was within.g his gaze. "We tell no one. We will find a cure from the sickness they forced upon you."
"If you falter now, the humans have won. We will the men who made this false cure, and make them undo it." But she wondered if it could. If it was that simple. If it was permanent then she feared for Erik. This wasn't something she believed he'd come back from if it was. It would take him from her.

Erik must truly hate everything thing she was in order to speak so against her kind. His mother's kind. He said he'd not take her son by force, and this she knew. Just as she knew force would not be needed, for Erik was very smart, and charismatic, and he had a way of talking that others would take his words to heart. It would not take much for her son to fall under the same spell she had. To want to be something special in the eyes of him. Like she had, and apparently wasn't.
His next words make her legs unsteady, so she had to sit. Magda managed to somehow half sit and half fall into a chair, before staring at him. His continued by saying he didn't do it. It took her a moment of looking into his eyes but she nodded slowly, "I believe you." Because Erik wasn't a liar, or had not been. Maybe it made her a fool, but she believed he was being honest here. "But how does Peter cross your path?"

. . . Did he just . . . dismiss her? Send her off with that toad, while he planned something that he clearly thought her too weak to aid in. "No, I want to help." Magda took a step away from the door s. She was not leaving. It was her son and she needed to see hat had happened to him. She needed to know so she could help him past it. Besides, she could not wait to see if he was alright.
"I can control technology, i can help you get to him and do of use." She explained, "I need to be there. I need to go and see this happen. Please. I'm his mother. He needs me there." Maybe he was a teenager, and maybe he was 'almost a man' but she knew all to well the horrors he could see--and everyone could use someone they loved then. How well she knew. How hard it was not to remind him of how he knew it too. Or did he?

He would send others with her, which meant he did not instead to go with her. "Thank you." Was it because he rather not, or because he was such a public face of this war. She entered the kitchen and even though he said he wanted nothing, she hoped that by cooking slightly more she could tempt him into eating--it wasn't he first time he'd turned down her cooking and she would try to tempt him.
He offered her the bottle of drink--what was it scotch? Whiskey?--and she walked over, wrapping her fingers over his around his glass, and lifting both to her lips before tasting a small amount. IT BURNED! "Has that stuff not killed you yet?" She asked while blinking to and trying to steal herself for the burning. When it passed, she made a face. "I've not tried that since the last time . . . . the last time I stole your glass."

"I do not expect you to understand," Shae took a step back from his, his other words fading into this ones as they floated over and over in her mind. "Then you do not expect much from me." She said sounding almost hurt. "I however have never forgotten the sight of you in that room as a child; and it is never far from my mind with my own son now, knowing that I could well see it again. The fear I felt for you then, ever so much more then doubled with Peter. I am sorry you think so little of me, Erik, but I am aware of the stakes--it is my son's life and I will not let you take him and turn him into a a vigilante! . . . he has so much joy in him, and I want him to keep it as long as I can let him."
"I met Peter during my imprisonment," Ignoring the rest of what he said, she found herself tripping over this one. "Imprisonment?" He'd met Peter in his . . . "You need to explain that statement, because it sounds like you are saying you me my 16 year old son while in a prison." Her words were calm but her tone was bordering angry.

He could not close the door? Glancing over at it Magda saw there was still metal on it so why could he---NO! She drew up taller, almost back from him but without moving a step. They'd gotten him!? They'd DONE THIS TO HIM?! Her eyes moved around the room looking for something! SOME proof she was wrong, but her mind knew--SHE KNEW!
Reaching for his cheeks she turned his face toward her, whiling moving in close. "They used it on you?!" Her tone was three parts shocked and another part angry. Erik had lived and breathed his mutant status! This would kill him! "Removing choice like we back in the camps?!" Now the anger became more dominate. HOW DARE THEY! Humans and their need to control and kill!
Letting his cheeks go she stared at him, her mind reeling before catching up with one major fact; the brotherhood would be weakened too. "Who else knows?" They could tell no one! They had to find a cure!

She heard his words and knew why he saw them as such. Even while she understood his need--for she had lived it as well--nor could she follow it. She had to teach her son better. That life was important and every life was worth standing up for. While she knew the price of reining silent, she would make sure he never did. Because she didn't want him to have the fear she lived with, and know the horror's she had seen. Which was why she had to get to him before anything happened to him. Before he became his father.
"You can believe what you must; but he is a child and I still want him to believe in something. To not see the world for a dark and evil thing but something that he can live in. You've met him. He enjoys life too much for them to take it away now." He said he would get to him by morning, but she wished it was sooner. "Can you not move before then? Why must we wait?! They could be doing anything to him!"

"Close the door," "Pardon?" She asked, wondering why he just did not shut it himself when he--"Close the door!" Before she could move he flipped over his desk and she stumbled backwards. Turning she walked quickly toward the door, and pushed it shut. Turning she walked back toward him, and looked over the mess he made.
Had they not won? Where was the pleased Magneto who would have enjoyed this moment? Pausing near him but still a few step away she watched him. "Look at me!" It wasn't a command--as she never ordered him to do anything--but it was a strong suggestion that she was urging him to comply with. Walking around to see his face she paused there, "What happened today?" Something had happened. Had someone died? Someone close to him. Reaching out her hand, she didn't touch him but hoovered there. "Talk to me. Tell me what has happened."

Magda did not partake in the open battle. She was not a fighter like that, and her powers were used more for the over taking of buildings rather then mutant vs mutant fighting. Erik had gone, and she had stayed behind. Yet when the news reported that the fighting was done, she began to worry. Were was Erik?
It wasn't until one of his followers told her that there had been a crash in his room that she began to wonder if he had already gotten back. Was he injured? Running up the sets, she got to his door, pausing to knock on it once; then pushing in anyway because of her worry. Her eyes moved around until she saw him. Standing! "You frightened me when you did you return with the others!" There was something off. She could feel it. Walking forward, Magda paused just behind him. It was in how he stood, even though she could only see his back and not his face. "Are you hurt?"

"You can not protect him," That much was becoming clear, but she would still try! With every cell in her body, she would still try. "But he can learn to better protect himself." With him, when he was a man perhaps but right now he was just a boy! Not a child but not an adult either. He still needed her help in protecting him, which meant she would have to learn too. This she knew. Had known the moment the men tried to take him.
"I will help your son," She exhaled a large and loud breath at his words, even as his next one made her suck it right back in with silent outrage. "And your kind, you humans are what put our race in danger, every single day." This was how far he'd come? This level of hate? How could he have once loved her if this was how he felt about a mother coming to him BEGGING him to save her son?
"How long ago did they take him?" It took her moment to answer, so hurt by the realization that everything she thought she knew about what they were once might well be only in her mind. Another lie she told herself at night to make her feel better. "Three days go." She told him, lifting her hand over to the side, toward a lamp--it took a second to glow brighter and brighter until it exploded. Her other hand lifted and the power to the room shut off before it turned back on. Lowering her hands she spoke, "But nor have they had power these last few days." It had slowed them down, maybe kept him safer. "I am not what you hate so much. Even if I was, that fact that you would speak to a desperate mother who came to you for aid as such . . . . has there never been any human who you did not hate with such . . . bitterness?"

"Perhaps we should let him make that decision," "He's 16! He does not get decide what is best for him right now!" She didn't say it angrily, but there was another sharper emotions, one she wasn't sure what it was. "I merely wish to discuss it with him." No! She turned her look into an almost glare. How dare he! She was not about to let him come in and charm her son into going off doing who knows what by his side!
"Perhaps you should sit," Shaking her head, she she stepped back from the chair--not in fear of his powers but in stubborn refusal. If she gave an inch, he'd take a mile. "You look, distressed." "The world's most wanted super villain is standing in my living room asking about my son and his special talents--yes, I feel very distressed right now." "Never in a hundred years, could I have predicted seeing you here," That . . . slightly took the wind out of her sails, and she faltered, looking away from him. "Nor I at seeing you at my door. Especially after seeing you on the telly dropping a stadium around the white house . . . all but declaring war."
She stepped closer to him, "He's a boy Erik. Not a solider. Whatever you want from him, you can't have it. I will not allow it. I am asking you . . . please . . . not to come and try to take my son from me." She paused and shook her head lightly, "How do you even know about him?"

So many questions! Why was he not jumping into action! Gritting her teeth she answered him, but she knew they were growing more short on time! "They came for him. I told him to run, and he disappeared but not far. When I refused to aid them . . . when I tried to stop them, they fought back. He came back for me, but during the . . . . they injected him with something. It made him sleep. He is defenseless, and alone."
Her son. Her baby boy was right where Erik had been once. It made her heart beat faster, and she took a step closer to him, only to in turn step back. Don't get close. Don't let him know. "Do you want me to beg? Name your price! Just go and get him! Please! Do yo know what they will---" Do to him. Of course he did. He lived it once. "They will hurt him. They will try to see what makes him different. I need to get to him. I need to protect him, and I need your help. He helped you--why will you not give him the same?"
