Magda shuffled the desk of cards in her hand, as she mindless sat back in one of the main rooms, located in the Brotherhood. She had many things on her mind, but non of them were ones she wanted to think on right now. She needed the relaxing break of not thinking about the chaos of her life. So much had happen in her life time, and yet she still knew she'd done almost nothing with it until recently.
Hearing someone enter from behind her, she turned her head to look over her should with a soft smile. "Hello." Magda greeted before looking back at the cards in her hand. They were a representation of her past; and sometimes she liked just the feel of them in her hands--just as a reminder of simpler times. . . . which weren't even really that simple either.
[Taryn; if you are ready to play, so am I!]

Taryn stood just outside the door for a moment. She had never actually gone to get her fortune told from Tarot cards before, but figured that this was as good a time as any to start. Annabelle, her sister, someone she thought long dead was alive and Taryn knew she had to find her, help her if necessary. Though she didn't necessarily agree with how the Brotherhood dealt with things, she'd made a few friends here and being told they had a resident fortune teller gave her some hope that she could finally meet the sister she never knew she had.
Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and stepped in. An older woman sat at a small table holding a deck of cards. As Taryn stepped closer, the fortune teller turned and with a soft smile gave her a 'Hello' in greeting. Taryn smiled and fumbled a reply. 'Hi, I'm Taryn. I need a bit of help and I don't usually do this kind of thing. I want to know if you can help me find my sister'. She took to the seat opposite the woman and focused on the details of the cards held in the teller's hands instead of on her. 'I am far too nervous for this' Taryn thought to herself.

Magda paused, surprised that anyone really knew or spoke of her like that. She'd spent so long hiding it, that hearing someone come to her ad ask for help was off setting. She took in what details of the girl she could but Magda had never learned the art of the con that was the cards. While they might tell gadjos--non gypsies--something, most of what they did was in fact just telling people what they wanted to hear in a vague enough way that sounded true and whatever happened would still fit into it.
"I'm sorry. I fear it does not work like that," She told Taryn, trying to be honest and not get the girl's hopes up. "I cannot find anyone with a deck of cards. They only tell you what is in store for your own personal future, or help you understand your past. Finding people is a bit too . . . . specific . . . for them." Tossing the cards on the coffee table that she had been using as a desk, Magda thought she could try to make Taryn feel better. "Souffle the cards, then cut the desk."

The fortune teller seemed to appreciate that people had given her a good reputation, so that made Taryn feel slightly more comfortable with this whole thing. Hearing that the cards wouldn't be able to be a little more specific in finding her sister was slightly disheartening, but she felt the need to at least seek some advice from somewhere and this seemed as good a place as any. So she took the deck of cards and shuffled and then cut them as instructed.
'So, this reading won't be specific, I know that now. But if it can help me with any sort of guidance, or if you yourself might know of anything, I'd be very appreciative of whatever is said. What was your name, sorry? Someone mentioned it before but it's completely slipped my mind, been a bit preoccupied recently.' In all the time she'd spent being in and out of the various different Brotherhood headquarters you would think she would have caught the woman's name, but so many people have been and gone before it's not difficult to lose track of who's who in this outfit.

Magda knew what it was to look for lost family, for how long had she looked for signs of everyone after the war--especially Erik; or well now Magneto. The fear of never finding them, and the hopelessness that filled the soul with each stone over turned with nothing under it. It was a sad way to live, but a path she knew had to be walked.
"My name is Magda." She really only ever went by just her first name, so she never bothered to give out a family name. "What is yours?" While she waited for an answer, Magda dealt the cards while keeping them face down so that she could explain what they meant. "How did you come to lose your sister?"
