Erik had to tread carefully . . . very carefully. He was a wanted man, and even read in a newspaper article recently that the World Leaders United to capture "Magneto". Quite flattering. But even the combination of these human's minds were inferior to him. For they possessed no mutant abilities to catch him. After his rather public speech, he had gained quite a response from the mutant population. Several had joined with him, the Brotherhood, to fight for a cause that was just and that would help free mutants from this daily persecution and oppression they were faced with. However, right now, he was on his way to see a very specific someone: Peter. The very mutant who had helped him escape from one of the most guarded facilities in the world: the Pentagon. And he had done so what seemed to be so effortlessly. With Charles' powers non existent, it would have been practically impossible, had it not been for this quick young man. Which was why it was time Erik thank him personally. And perhaps try to sway him to do more with his talents, mainly, to fight for other mutants.
The boy seemed to enjoy the thrill of engaging in illegal activities, and Magneto could certainly supply him with a long list of those. Clad in regular clothing, a hat, and sunglasses to further conceal his appearance, he arrived on the front steps of Peter's house. He glanced down at the Welcome mat which was completely worn. Readying himself, he rang the doorbell, hoping the mutant was home . . . and that who ever else was, either would not recognize Magneto, or not call the police. It was not that he was afraid of the authorities for he knew he could easily avoid recapture by them; it was that he truly wanted to have a conversation with the boy. Tag Magda

Magda walked down the steps and paused at the sight of the basement. It was a mess but that was not what she stood there staring at. "PETER!" She screamed, turning to stomp up the steps. Looking around she noticed he was gone. "Scarlet, where is your brother?" She asked, and her daughter only smiled and pointed to the back door. He'd ran. How like Peter. She'd beat him later. "Go up to your room, and play."
With that Magda walked to the kitchen and began putting away dishes; the loud clang of force echoed every now and then from her shoving then. Peter had somehow gotten a room full of junk food--again! AGAIN!
Shortly after, the door bell rang, and she dropped her head back and glared at the roof. She loved her son--more then her own life--but he was getting out of hand. Using his powers too often without stopping to wonder the cause and effect. Talking to the door she wiped her hands on her jeans, before pulling it open, "What's he done noooooaaah!" Erik! She felt her heart beat faster, or stop--she wasn't sure which! She could only stare at him for a moment before stepping back and shutting the door!
Erik! Erik! Erik! Erik! It was all her mind could say, over and over again as she breathed just as fast as she was thinking the name. Magda didn't move from the stop, didn't lock the door, or run. She just stood there a few feet back and stared at the shadow on the other side! Erik! On her stoop! In the flesh!
No. Not Erik . . . Magneto. The worlds most wanted man!

Erik heard footsteps approaching and readied himself, but no amount of preparation could have helped in what unfolded next. When the door opened, his eyes rested on her: on Magda. Magneto didn't have time to react. He just stood there, staring at her for what was only a few seconds before soon enough, the vision of her was replaced with the front of her door. He just stood there in shock for a moment. Was it . . . no. It could not be her. How was that possible. He was looking for Peter and here she was and-- wait! Magneto did some rather quick mental math, reaching the conclusion that it could not be his. There was no possible way. He didn't exactly know how old Peter was but he could guess the range. And, just, no. Her presence should not change anything in regards to his objective of coming, and yet, it seemed to change everything at the same time.
He forced himself to remain composed, taking a deep breath. Unsure if she had locked the door, though he had not heard the click, he used his abilities anyway to open it and step inside. She was not standing far from it, and he closed, and locked the door behind him without needing to move a hand or his head, for he kept it forward, looking at her. Good. She had not called the police. "Magda," he acknowledged, greeted, stated, questioned . . . so many different reasons for saying this one simple name. He kept his voice calm, and composed, still trying to process and understand her presence here. Magda Eisenhardt. What a past they had and it seemed that they were about to have an interesting future as well.

He just walked right in! It was so like him! The arrogance, then self assureness! Magneto in his full glory--only minus the mental crown---and he was causally dress, but the attitude was there! Stepping back from him, one hand moved to cover her surprised lips, while the other reached out tot he wall to steady herself. He said her name, her old name! The one she had not heard spoken allowed since before Peter was born!
Shaking her head slowly, she backed up again while watching him. Finally she was able to speak but what words to say? "What . . . what . . . why . . . . " What did she just ask? Him to leave? Yes! She needed to ask him to leave! And she needed to do it before Peter came home--PETER! "Erik! Why . . . .what . . . "

Erik continued to watch her. She stepped back in . . . well, he was unsure whether it was shock or fear. Perhaps a combination of both. Perhaps one more than the other. The shock was apparent. Yes. Definitely that emotion. Had he been poorly skilled at guarding his own emotions, he would have been just like her, for it was how he felt. Shocked. Confused. And then, when she stammered her question to him, unable to form a cohesive sentence but simply speak words that were questions themselves . . . that was when he was reminded of his true purpose here. As she stepped back, he took a few steps toward her. "I am looking for-- " And that was when it hit him, she had a son. Peter was her son. She, had been with another to give her a child. A mutant. She or Peter's father must have the mutant gene within them.
Was the father here? Had she married and settled? She looked rather settled in his home of hers. He was not one to express jealousy, but the thought that he was seeking out her son . . . added a different dynamic to this entire situation. "Your son," he finished, containing his emotions. Peter. The focus should remain on Peter and yet it seemed to not shift to Magda. She was here. He would be lying if he said that he had not thought about her. But he would also be lying if he said that he had regretted parting ways with her. They could be together. Far more pulled them apart rather than kept them close. However, there had always been a place in his heart for her, though it was not something he cared to admit. Especially not now.

"I am looking for-- " Her? He was here for her, and she wasn't sure how to handle that. It had been years since she had stopped looking for him on every street, but apart of her had never fully let him go. She had always wondered how things might have been different had she been like him, or if she had tried harder, or even if--"Your son,"
The words caused an instant change, for at first she drew back, and looked in numb shock before her shoulders squared, and her chin came up. "No." He could not have him! He could not do this! She wasn't an idiot! She knew what he was doing out there in the world! He was hunted, and everyone wanted him dead or in prison. It was said he had followers and if he was here looking for her son then he knew somehow that Peter. . . . how did he know about Peter? "Wait! Why?!" Did he know! Panic crossed her features. He knew?! No, he said her son,not his son. "What do you want with my son?"

No? She just flat out denied him speaking to her son? Magneto could understand that, because she failed to understand. In her eyes, he was a wanted man, seeking out her seemingly innocent son. But in actuality, she was a human, unable to offer the support and guidance her son who was a mutant required. Magneto could give him that. "Perhaps we should let him make that decision," he stated, trying to act as if nothing had changed in why he was here, and how he would have interacted with Peter's mother, if it weren't Magda. Yet, it was impossible. No matter how much he pretended that it was the same thing, it wasn't. Because, it was Magda. She went on to ask why, what he wanted with Peter. That was when Magneto also considered the possibility that she may not know his past with her son. What Peter had done for him not too long ago. "Your son possesses a very unique and incredible gift. I merely wish to discuss it with him." He made his intentions sound completely innocent which, he supposed in a way they were.
For he was not going to drag Peter out of here nor make him do anything against his will. He was just going to present him with an option, an alternative to his current lifestyle, and allow him to pick for himself. He paused for a moment, looking at her, taking in the sight of her. After so long . . . here she was. Here they were. "Perhaps you should sit," he began to say, and with a wave of his hand, extended a chair to her. "You look, distressed." Which was understandable for seeing her again after so long, caused equal confusion and shock in him. He was merely suppressing it. Pushing it aside. "Never in a hundred years, could I have predicted seeing you here," he stated. She had taken another name: Maximoff. Was it her husband's name? Peter's father's name? Peter's words suddenly entered Magneto's mind My mom knew a guy who could control metal. Alas, it now made sense.

"Perhaps we should let him make that decision," "He's 16! He does not get decide what is best for him right now!" She didn't say it angrily, but there was another sharper emotions, one she wasn't sure what it was. "I merely wish to discuss it with him." No! She turned her look into an almost glare. How dare he! She was not about to let him come in and charm her son into going off doing who knows what by his side!
"Perhaps you should sit," Shaking her head, she she stepped back from the chair--not in fear of his powers but in stubborn refusal. If she gave an inch, he'd take a mile. "You look, distressed." "The world's most wanted super villain is standing in my living room asking about my son and his special talents--yes, I feel very distressed right now." "Never in a hundred years, could I have predicted seeing you here," That . . . slightly took the wind out of her sails, and she faltered, looking away from him. "Nor I at seeing you at my door. Especially after seeing you on the telly dropping a stadium around the white house . . . all but declaring war."
She stepped closer to him, "He's a boy Erik. Not a solider. Whatever you want from him, you can't have it. I will not allow it. I am asking you . . . please . . . not to come and try to take my son from me." She paused and shook her head lightly, "How do you even know about him?"

Peter may be 16 but his age was irrelevant for his control and skills with his powers placed him at a higher maturity. That, was what Magneto noticed. Not the fact that he was a young teenager, but rather, the potential he had as a mutant. "You should not underestimate him because of his age," he told her, knowing it was arrogant to speak of this considering it was her sign and he had only met him once. But he could say these words with confidence, for be believed them to be true. She then referenced his current standing -- being a fugitive, or villain as she had called him. He did not believe he was one. Those who perceived him as one, failed to recognize the purpose of his actions or what he was trying to do. The true villains were the humans. They had declared war and Magneto was the one responding to them to protect their kind. But again, no one failed to see that. They only saw a mutant with extraordinary powers, threaten the President, not realizing the threat that the President had placed on them first. "They declared war first," Magneto stated bluntly. "I am retaliating however I can to protect my kind." Not their kind, because she was not a mutant. "I do not expect you to understand," he added.
Though, he knew that in his heart and mind, the words he spoke were not entirely true. He knew she understood, or at least understood parts of him. For they had been together for some time, and she had accepted him and his mission back then. She knew better than anyone what he had endured at the camp, and therefore, understood his motives and purpose behind his actions. But admitting that to her now, would admit that he still cared for her. And while he did, he could not reveal that much about himself. "Is it because you fear he will say yes to my offer, that you are so adamant to make me change my mind?" He questioned, almost amused. He had ideas in mind of what he could tempt Peter with, and he hoped it worked. Not to rip a son away from his mother, but to allow Peter to feel fulfilled and realize all he could achieve with his gift; something that no one else seemed to appreciate. She then asked a question that caused him to tilt his head and slightly smirk. "He did not tell you," he both stated in realization and somewhat questioned. Not a massive surprise. He supposed it wasn't something a teenage boy ran home to tell his mother. "I met Peter during my imprisonment," he began to say, seeing how much he could peak her interest in her son's not so long ago past.

"I do not expect you to understand," Shae took a step back from his, his other words fading into this ones as they floated over and over in her mind. "Then you do not expect much from me." She said sounding almost hurt. "I however have never forgotten the sight of you in that room as a child; and it is never far from my mind with my own son now, knowing that I could well see it again. The fear I felt for you then, ever so much more then doubled with Peter. I am sorry you think so little of me, Erik, but I am aware of the stakes--it is my son's life and I will not let you take him and turn him into a a vigilante! . . . he has so much joy in him, and I want him to keep it as long as I can let him."
"I met Peter during my imprisonment," Ignoring the rest of what he said, she found herself tripping over this one. "Imprisonment?" He'd met Peter in his . . . "You need to explain that statement, because it sounds like you are saying you me my 16 year old son while in a prison." Her words were calm but her tone was bordering angry.

She spoke of how he did not expect much from her. And well, he knew part of that had to be true because of the fact that she was human. Yet the other part . . . well, he knew he had not entirely meant the words when saying him. But as he had already decided, he could not admit that to her. She then spoke of his time as a child, the circumstances under which they had met. It was not a memory he liked to recall, yet one that was forever burned in his mind, body, and soul. He remained silent as she referenced it, having nothing to contribute to such a painful and torturous time in his life. "I have no plans of taking him, or making him do anything against his will," Magneto began to say, focusing on that part of what she said and not the rest. "I am merely giving him options to consider. Whether he immediately declines, or decides he would like to ponder on it for the next few days, weeks, months, perhaps years." Magneto was not going to drag him out of this house. That was not how he operated.
"The decision is his to make and his alone. I will not force him to do anything." He was just here to appeal to him, to tempt him. Not to force Peter to come with him. The next subject of imprisonment was questioned and Magneto couldn't help but give an ever so slight smirk. "I do suggest you reconsider my suggestion of sitting down. This may come as a bit of a shock to you." He took his own advice, seating himself on the couch and using his powers to push the chair toward her yet again, seeing if she would sit or if she was far too uneasy and remained standing. "In 1963, I was arrested and charged for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy." Magneto paused, looking at her, speaking his next words with the utmost sincerity. "I did not do it." He had never lied before. And this was no exception to his record of never lying, for he truly had not murdered the president, contrary to what the rest of society seemed to believe.

Erik must truly hate everything thing she was in order to speak so against her kind. His mother's kind. He said he'd not take her son by force, and this she knew. Just as she knew force would not be needed, for Erik was very smart, and charismatic, and he had a way of talking that others would take his words to heart. It would not take much for her son to fall under the same spell she had. To want to be something special in the eyes of him. Like she had, and apparently wasn't.
His next words make her legs unsteady, so she had to sit. Magda managed to somehow half sit and half fall into a chair, before staring at him. His continued by saying he didn't do it. It took her a moment of looking into his eyes but she nodded slowly, "I believe you." Because Erik wasn't a liar, or had not been. Maybe it made her a fool, but she believed he was being honest here. "But how does Peter cross your path?"

She said she believed him, and he wasn't sure why, but it made him feel relieved. He had not seen her in years, so should not be concerned with whether she believed him or not. Yet, for some reason, it still mattered to him. If he was going to be arrested and imprisoned for something, it should be for a crime he actually committed; not one he was trying to prevent. She then questioned as to how Peter crossed his path. The actual story was extremely complicated. It involved a mutant from the future, and machines that would wipe out the mutant race . . . so he was trying to think of a simpler way to explain it to her. One that would still cover the basics of how he met her son.
"An old friend of mine and another mutant required my assistance with an immensely important task." Stopping Mystique. "In order for me to help however, I had to be out of the prison. One of them knew your son and recruited him for his aid in achieving this task." Because, Charles had not had his powers and the other mutant was fairly useless if Magneto was to be quite honest. Magneto let these words sink in, having basically told her how he had met Peter; under which circumstances. "I imagine you would have met them, actually." Since they had come straight to Peter's home. Whether she remembered them or not however, was an entirely different story.

The men. Not here to talk to her son about a school--but to talk him into breaking his father out of prison. "The one with the arms, the one with all the hair, and the nerd?" She asked mostly to herself. Starring off into the distance she felt angry and betrayed. "They came into my home and asked this of my son?" She didn't care who they were, if she ever saw them again she'd.......she'd. .......something bad.
Looking back at Eric, she tried to foucse on the story and not her anger. "How did they know him?" And almost more importantly, "how did a prison hold you?" And even more so, "how did he help you?" Erik better start giving her more detail too, or he'd share his friends fate.

Magneto let everything process, seeing how her expression shifted at the realization of who had recruited her son to this cause. So she did remember them. Interesting. They must have left an impression, or done something worth remembering. She asked how they had known him, and that, Magneto was uncertain of. He knew that Logan was familiar with her son, but did not know the circumstances which caused their meeting. Plus, it was from the future and that was difficult to explain. It was a small detail he was purposely omitting from his explanation. He instead, focused on her latter questions. "They could not at first," he said with a slight smile and smirk.
He had destroyed a couple cells before they seemed to catch on to the pattern. "They contained me in a cell made entirely of glass." So he could not escape. "Your son is rather intelligent." Magneto was not unwilling to admit that. Intelligent. Crafty. Used his abilities with the utmost precision and timing. "He managed to get inside of where they held me by breaking the surrounding glass. And then just as quickly, by pass all the security and guards." And there had been a lot of guards. "You would be proud to know that he did not kill anyone." Not the mutants, but more so, no homo sapiens. Erik would have done what was necessary, but Peter had approached the situation with a different method.

"They could not at first," At first. That sounded like a few stories that would have to wait another day--NO! No other days could be had! Erik could not be here when Peter returned! He needed to be gone sooner or he would learn that Peter was his son. "They contained me in a cell made entirely of glass." Was that all it took? A glass cage to hold a man who was as strong as Erik was. Is.
"Your son is rather intelligent." Magda had been staring at him, and now she closed her eyes, and glanced to the side. Peter got many things from his father. Mutant powers, brains, and the arrogance. "He managed to get inside of where they held me by breaking the surrounding glass." Oh Peter. Opening her eyes she forced them back to Erik, "You would be proud to know that he did not kill anyone." Proud?
"My 16 year old son broke into a glass prison to break out a man who was charged with killing the leader of the free world, and I should be proud?" Magda held her hands out from her, and then ran them through her hair. "If he'd had been caught, then they would put him in one too. They'd label him a mutant and I'd lose him. Everything I have done since the moment I found out he was growing in me, has been to keep him safe and alive!"
"This is not a good thing. I am glad to see you are out of that . . . . cage . . . they put you in, but Peter cannot take these risks!" Her right hand shook as it moved to rest over her left forearm. There on her arm was a tattoo of Anya's name put there to cover her numbers from the camp. She would not risk another child being lost. "I think you should leave." She whispered, not meeting his eyes.

She didn't seem proud. Though Magneto was hardly surprised. She was a human. If she was not proud of how incredibly Peter had broken into the Pentagon, then she should at least be proud of his mutant abilities. But she seemed to show no such emotion for either. Instead, she told him that she should leave. Magneto had no intention of giving up on Peter for he saw something in him. Something that compelled him to seek the boy out. But he was not home at the moment, and so Magneto would return. He rose to his feet, but he was not finished speaking. "Perhaps you should stop sheltering him from the world," he began to tell her. "You claim you want to protect him, but there is only so long he will be able to hide." This was where he and her views differed. Because she was not a mutant. And he had to keep reminding himself of that.
"He should be proud of what he is able to do. Not condemned for it. Not hidden away because you think it will keep him safe in a society that will not accept him for who he truly is." This was what Peter needed to hear and be given: an opportunity to show the world his gifts. Because he had a tremendous gift indeed. "You should be proud of his abilities. And instead, you fear them for you fear for him." Magneto took a moment to just look at her, unsure if the shock over seeing her here had fully subsided. "This is why you will never understand. And why Peter needs someone like me to guide him on a path of acceptance and liberty. Of pride, for being a mutant." With those words, he adjusted his hat on his head, turning to leave, though far from finished with talking to Peter. "I will return at a more convenient time for Peter to speak with him." In private.

His words hurt! Like a knife that he might have well sued his powers and cut her with. "Don't you dare speak to me so!" She bit out, standing on her feet, feeling the anger in her. "I never once made you feel that I was shamed of you! Or not proud to be by your side! Nor have I have done so for Peter! I have done EVERYTHING that I have done to make sure that he knew he was loved and accepted!"
"You want a war, Erik! You came here for Peter because he was another mutant for your army, not because you wanted to thank him or offer him some guidance!" She ran her fingers in her hair, and then dropped them sharply to her side. "He is a child. When he is an adult, he will be reasonable for himself, and I want him to be able to do that. Not having you come around while he is impressionable and giving him glorious speeches of a liberty he doesn't understand!"
"You use words like them and us, but Peter is a bit of both! I'm human Erik! I thought that didn't matter to you once, but apparently it did! Apparently nothing was as I remembered it! Did you care at all? Or did you only hate me a little less?"
'I don't hate you, Mommy.' No! "No!" Pushing past Erik, Magda ran to her daughter and gently but firmly pushed her from the room. "Go back to your room! Stay there until I come for you! Do not come back in here until then!"

She was clearly angry, and Magneto just stood there, taking in her words. He knew there was a war coming, if it wasn't already here, and that mutants would be forced to pick a side. There was no part human, or part mutant; one was either human, or mutant. There was no gray area. And Peter, was a mutant. She was a human. There was the disconnect, for it was something she would never be able to relate to. He could. And he intended to. He was about to respond to her words and tell her as much, when suddenly, a little girl came into the room, referring to Magda as mommy. Magneto titled his head to the side and looked at her. She was young. Very young. And clearly Magda did not want her in his presence for she quickly ushered her out of the room. Magneto just watched until she was gone, forcing a smirk on his face, though he felt a mix of other emotions within him as well. She had a daughter. And not too long ago from the look of her age.
"Well, I did not realize you had two children. Or more, perhaps?" His mind briefly went to their own daughter that they had lost. Ania, she would have been named. But he forced it back, not wanting it to surface. His eyes went to her hand, to see if there was a sign of commitment. "No ring," he pointed out. So she wasn't married. It was not something he had even thought to question. But it seemed that she had far more in her life that he had realized. "So I wonder, who is the father? Should I be expecting him to come at any given moment?" Was he living here with her? Suddenly, so many questions about her life rose in his mind, but he held them all back. They shouldn't be relevant to anything, so why was it that he still cared?

"Well, I did not realize you had two children. Or more, perhaps?" Magda crossed her harms to cover herself in a protective manner. Erik and her children were two groups she never planned on the paths crossing, so hearing him speak of them was unsettling. "No ring," Fighting the urge to hide her hand behind her back, Magda remained still.
"So I wonder, who is the father? Should I be expecting him to come at any given moment?" Apparently he was already here. At least Peter's father. "Not that the lack of a ring means anything, but no. I am not a married woman. I have two children, and no husband." Her mother would be disappointed in her daughter. "He was unsettled when Peter began . . . doing things, and I did not want Peter to ever feel judge or unwanted, so I left him and came here. He don't come visiting very often."
Not that it was any of his business. Her hands began to move, but then stopped, before moving again to the collar of her shirt, and moving under it to pull out her necklace. She dropped it so it rested over her shirt. "Besides, he didn't like that I never did let you go." She wasn't putting herself out there for no reason. She was about to make a point, only it wasn't one she wanted to know the answer for. "So prove me wrong, Erik."
"Is there only hate in you? Is there nothing of the man I once followed over Europe?" Her hand lifted the necklace off her neck, as she held it before her--not out to him, but just where she could see it. "Did I read too much into what happened? Was the fact that I was human . . . did it mean more to you then I did?"
