Put your faith in what you most believe inMagda left Erik in the study reading, and walked by Nina's room. She made sure Nina was still covered up to keep her warm in the cool winter nights, and then walked out of the room toward the baby's room. Magda and her husband had two children. Nina, and Anya. They lived in Poland with their daughters, and led a happy but quite life. Erik had once been known world wide, but here none here that knew him as such. They lived in peace.
Erik, and their daughter Nina, were mutants. Something that was dangerous in today's world. People didn't understand mutants, so they feared them. Anya might be a mutant tell but as she was only 16 months old, they wouldn't know for a few more years yet. Anya hadn't even began talking yet, though not for a lack of Magda trying to get her to say Mama for months.
As she walked into the baby'd room Magda frozen, and fear rushed through her body! "ERIK!" She yelled and ran toward the crib, ready to knock over the shadowed figure that stood over the crib! As she got to it however, it faded and there was nothing! Grabbing Anya, Magda backward the wall and looked around! There had been a man here! A MAN! A mutant man by the way he had just disappeared! STANDING! OVER! HER! BABY! Why was there--NINA! Magda rushed toward the door only to nearly bump into her husband, "Nina! Check on Nina!" She gasped out, "Someone is here!" Some one was after her children!

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik had been reading a book in the study, engrossed in the material but the sudden cry from his wife immediately broke him from it. He leaped out of the chair and raced upstairs, nearly colliding into her as she held Anya. She told him to check on Nina and Erik questioned nothing. He raced to her room, throwing open the door and putting on the light. There was no one. No one other than Nina who stirred in her sleep. Erik thoroughly checked the room, every corner, every possible space that someone could be in. He looked out the window, but was still not satisfied. Assured that the room was clear however, he motioned for Magda to come in.
"Wait here," he instructed, closing the door behind him. Erik was not satisfied with simply checking one room; he needed to check the entire house. For this, was perhaps his worst nightmare. That he would be found and it would pose a threat to his family. Having been on the run for all those years had put him on edge . . . but also made him all too aware of his surroundings. The years spent here, caused that heightened awareness to slowly ebb as his body and mind relaxed into this peaceful lifestyle. But, moments such as these, caused it all to come flooding back. He checked the entirety of the house, sparing no corner unchecked.
He stepped outside, walking around the house before standing incredibly still, taking in every sound. Every detail. Despite the darkness, he listened for the quietest of footsteps. The slightest rustle. Half already planning out an escape route for them. But, there was no one. And he made sure of that. When he was certain, he made his way back into the house, closing and locking the door behind him. Moving up the stairs he returned to Nina's room where he saw his two daughters and a still shaking Magda. "What did you see?" He asked calmly as he approached Magda, putting an arm around her in attempt to comfort her from her state.
