Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik was just finishing packing a small bag to take to Dallas with him. The President was going to be there, and he had heard rumours of an assassination attempt. They could be of course just that, rumours. But Erik wasn't going to take any risks. Especially with the President of the United States being a mutant. Which, could prove to be a powerful ally to his kind. Meaning, he would protect him at all cost. The mission was great enough to leave his family here, and though it was for a short while, it was still difficult to travel away from them. Especially with the twins so young, and Magda expecting a baby.
Closing his brief case, he looked at the threshold of the door where she stood. It was difficult to leave his family behind, but he also knew that he was doing this for his family. To build a future where his children did not have to grow up afraid and forced to hide who they are. He made his way towards his wife, wrapping his arms around her. "I'll be back before you know it," he told her confidently. He knew this was dangerous and the risk was great . . . but it was necessary.

You make seconds feel like glorious hoursMagda rested her hand over her slightly swollen belly as Erik walked ti her and wrapped his arms around her. He told her that he would be back soon and Magda nodded her head. "But this is important," she acknowledged moving to kiss him slowly. "So protect the world. Make it safer for the kids." She used her hands to smooth down his clothes, knowing how he liked to be neat and clean.
Looking back up at him, she smiled. Magda was married to a mutant, but she was human. It came with some risks, but the rewards of marrying the man she loved so far out weighted the risks that she never saw it that way. Erik would fight for a safer world for their children. All three of them. Erik had twins from before they married and now she would give him a son or daughter. "We'll be waiting for you when you get back," she teased, her hand leading his to her belly. In five months they would have a new baby. One that was part her and part him. Magda couldn't wait to meet them.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Yes. It was. And he loved that she understood. Where he wished to protect mutants before, he was even more determined . . . for the sake of his children. He would not let society do what had been done to him and his family. Torn apart. Killed. Genocide. No. He longed for a better world for his children, and he would take all the necessary steps to ensure it.
"Everything I do, is for us," he told her, knowing she knew that . . . but needed to say it. He did not wish to leave out of desire, but it was out of necessity. Otherwise, he wouldn't even consider leaving Magda with their baby that still grew in her womb and the twins. "I won't be gone long," he reassured once again. "I had a talk with Peter and Lorna." Basically told them not to tear the house apart as they were a busy pair. "I love you." Something else that was important to say before he departed. One never knew what could happen.

You make seconds feel like glorious hoursShe knew that he did. Magda had seen all too well what happens when governments were left unchecked and they were after a group of people who couldn't fight against them. The world needed men like Erik to speak up and protect the rights of others. Especially since three of her children (two of them weren't her's by blood) were mutants. (Two were mutants, one had a strong chance to be a mutant).
"I know you do. Someone needs to speak up, and I am proud that it's my husband." She told him, with a soft smile, "Even if it means that I will miss him desperately!" Teasing him to make the parting easier. As for the twins . . . Magda would admit sometimes they were a handful but she enjoyed the challenge. Being pregnant and handing them . . . . was another story! "We'll be fine. It's only a few days." Baring nothing went wrong and delayed his return. She knew that he could be gone a few extra days if needed. "I love you. I love you with all my heart." Moving to kiss him, Magda let the kiss deepen and linger. And then she had to let him go.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION He felt honoured that she held pride in him. For he knew this relationship would not have worked as well as it did if they lacked support in one another. He loved her for that, and for so much else. She told him she would miss him desperately, and he continued to smile, knowing that the feeling was mutual. "I'll make it up to you when I return," he promised her, clear suggestive meaning in the words as he leaned forward to steal another kiss. But, he knew that would have to be the last. Otherwise, he would never leave.
Picking up his brief case, he walked out of the room with Magda to say a proper goodbye to the twins, telling them to help take care of their mother and the household. They were young, and full of energy. He already felt his heart ache as he stepped out the door, looking back at his family. His world. Needing to remind himself that everything he did, every moment that they were apart . . . was for them. For his wife, two children, and the baby they would soon bring into this world. Little did he know, the events that would take place on his trip that would separate him from them for far longer than mere days.

You make seconds feel like glorious hoursMagda left him go, "I'll hold you too that," She teased as he walked out. And she watched him until the door closed. She wasn't too worried. Erik was careful, and she trusted him. She knew that he would be back. In a few days he'd walk back in the door and they could go back to getting the baby room ready. She needed his help to finish the wooden crib--which she had picked to tease him. She needed his help to paint, since she couldn't reach the high walls. She also needed him to find a rocker to put into the room, something they were planning to do together soon.
And yet, it was help that wouldn't come.
The news broke soon, that he was arrested. Magda tried to go to the trail and see him but she couldn't get close. It was held without her knowing, in a place she didn't know of. And then, it was like he never existed. No matter how many phone calls were made, no one knew where he was at. No one knew anything. He'd disappeared. Gone from their lives in a moment, and Magda wasn't sure what to do.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Things had not gone to plan. For starters, Erik was not able to stop the bullet due to the authorities intervening and as a result, the bullet curved and instantly killed the President of the United States. A massive loss on its own. Secondly, Erik was the one accused of killing him. A secret trial took place where he was forced to use his powers as if to provide further evidence. Despite his plea, he was changed and sentenced to a lifetime of prison. They had not been properly prepared for he destroyed the first cell within days of being moved there.
He was constantly sedated while they worked to build a better suited facility, one fully of plastic. He was transferred there and after sometime, one slip up from a guard, and he destroyed that one too. Erik was very determined for he had four reasons to get out of this place. He would not even see the day his child greeted the world, having counted down the days and knowing when his wife was due . . . but he was not there. That was the day he destroyed one of the cells, full of anger and desperation to get out of that place.
But the sedatives prevented him from feeling anything, or even being conscious until they had him fully surrounded by plastic. It would take 3 tries, 3 destroyed cells until they proved to have a semblance of intellect to know how to handle him. That was when Erik retreated into meditation. It was all he could do to preserve his sanity. Hope was a dangerous thing, but he vowed to get out of this place. The desperate need to see his family. To see his wife, his children . . . and with each day that passed, was another day lost from them. Another day where he did not see them grow. Another day parted from everyone he loved. All for something he did not even do.

You make seconds feel like glorious hoursOutside the prison the world moved quickly, and all too slowly at the same time. The twins were a handful, and Magda gave birth to a daughter. She named her Nina. Knowing that there wasn't a chance that Erik might come back broke Magda;s heart. Had they killed him? What would be left after so much time with them?
To honor him, she did as best as she could with two mutant children and a baby. There were firm rules, and a lot of love. Hot coco night, holiday songs, and so much foods! Magda was always baking and cooking. It was hard for the twins to miss their father, but Magda make sure he was a warm topic, and never a forbidden on. Over the years she noticed that even Nina was growing powers! Strong ones, as with all his children. The family was close. They were safe.
It was one day in late fall that Magda came home to an empty house. It was odd because they were supposed to be here. She didn't overly worry, at first, because their were many near by parks. Yet as the day moved to evening she began to grow uneasy. Where were her children?
Little did she know, that they were on an adventure. The eldest daughter was currently reaking havoc on the electrical equipment, elevators, and weapons at an highly confidential and heavily guarded secret government holding site. The same one her son was currently zooming through. All while her youngest daughter was using her powers to cause the building to fill with rats, bats, birds, and other chaos inviting animals to distract everyone. No, Magda had no idea that her three children had been planning to break their father out. Which was why she was unprepared for what would happen next. . . . .
