Baby mine, don't you cry,Magda hummed to herself as she closed her shop for the night. It had taken a long time to get here, but now that she was she liked her life. She found contentment in the little things. Friends she'd made. A few dates she'd been on, though none lasted she didn't feel lonely. She had a good life here, and was away from the memorizes that hunted her sometimes.
Poland. The camps. A daughter she lost. A lover who chose a life of vengeance over her. She'd walked away from that, but she still sometimes thought of him. What he was doing. If he ever found peace. She hoped he had, though she also knew he was driving himself to an early grave--and she feared for him still.
These thoughts however, weren't on her mind tonight. Tonight she was thinking of going out to a local festival. There would be foods from all over the world and Magda loved the foods. A neighbor had invited her, and while Magda wasn't ready to try to date him it was a nice offer. She'd told him she'd let him know, but hadn't promised to meet him. Closing early, she decided she would go for the foods, and the company. Maybe it would be nice.
She cleared one of the tables, and began working to box up her cards. Once she was done she moved toward the door to lock it.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik -- now better known as Magneto -- would have thought that killing Shaw would have been satisfying. And, it was indeed but it also opened up an entire other slew of familial revelations. The first and biggest being: he had a daughter. Not only that, but it was his and Magda's child. A child that he had discovered, after looking into the matter, had been stolen the night she was born. If Magneto hadn't already killed Shaw, he would have done it over again and ensured it was far more painful. The man had killed his mother, taken his daughter and . . . raised her to despise him. To let her believe that he had abandoned her, just like he had abandoned her mother.
He knew the next conversation he had to have about this was with Magda. He'd not seen her since they were together in his search for Shaw, so it had taken some tracking down to find her. Fortunately, Emma had assisted with that and he soon enough, found her. Found that she owned a tea shop. Part of him did not want to disrupt whatever life she had built here. What if she had a family of her own? What if she had moved past the trauma of losing a child? But not telling her was never an option. He couldn't keep something like this from her. He'd never been able to lie to her and would not start now.
Lurking in the shadows, he waited until the last customer left, noticing that the shop now was empty and what he hoped would be closing time soon. He couldn't help but watch her through the window, taking in the sight of her. How beautiful she looked. How he had missed her. So much had changed since the last time they were together, and so much would continue to with what he was going to bring her today. Taking a slow breath, he approached, his hand waving the door open and immediately stepping inside, locking it behind him. She was close enough to the door that perhaps she was getting ready to lock it. But, Magneto had taken care of that for her, simply making his way inside and giving them the privacy necessary for this conversation. "Hello Magda."

Baby mine, don't you cry,Magda was walking toward the door, the soft song still humming in her lips as it opened. For a moment she was confused because no one had been there but then . . . he walked in. Magda stepped back, more to unconsciously allow him to enter then from fear. The soft contented expression falling into one of surprise. "Erik," She whispered his name, as she tried to take in the fact that out of all the people in all the world-- Erik Lehnsherr had just walked into her little shop. Her lips tilted for a half second in an almost smile before the surprise took back over. Erik was standing before her! Magda's eyes took him in, noticing that he looked good--healthy at least. Yet there was something about his face that sparked worry. Pushing the feeling aside, she tried to find words that he was here. Everything else was long since forgotten, as the only thing she could think of right now was the man that was here. The one that she had once loved--and if her heart beating like it was was any sign--she loved him still. "Hello," she finally managed to get out the soft word. Blinking she smiled softly, but not a full smile. The shock was still the greater emotion. "It seems that once again, everything I thought I'd say to you has left my mind." She said, her voice becoming less soft, and more welcoming as she slowly recovered from the surprise of seeing him. Her words a reference to the time they had met at the wall, and she'd not been able to think of anything to say.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Her surprise was understandable, and though Erik had sought her out . . . being in her presence now, left him momentarily silenced. It was impossible to not feel all that he did for her. To not let those emotions surface everytime he saw her. He loved her. Past, and present. Perhaps he would never stop. Fate had crossed their paths once before and now . . . well, they were in each others company again. "That's alright," he assured her when she told him that anything she thought to say had fled her mind.
Though it had been years ago, he hadn't forgotten those words when she first spoke them to him. In fact, he hadn't forgotten anything. Every conversation. Every touch . . . "Because I come with a great deal to say." He needed to stay focused. There was no time for pleasantries. No matter how much he wanted to reach out and embrace her. "Starting with the discovery that we had a daughter." Something he had never known. Not that she was pregnant, nor that she had birthed the child. Had he been aware of it . . . perhaps he would not have left her the way he did. And well, he didn't exactly make himself easy to find.

Baby mine, don't you cry,He told her it was alright, and that he had come with a lot to say. There was something about his told that made her hesitate. Then his next words hit her like a brick. The baby. Magda closed her eyes and took a step back, this time it was the need to protect herself. Not from him, but from the memories and the words themselves. Had he come here because he was upset with her? Why bring it up now? She'd lost her baby girl, and there wasn't anything she could have done.
Taking another step back, Magda folded her arms over her body and forced her eyes to open to look at him. She felt . . . a little angry that he would come now and . . . what?
"Had," Magda spoke in a quite tone, repeating the word he used. Past tense. "For a few hours, yes. I had a daughter." They had. a tear fell over her cheek and Magda wiped it away. How had he found out? Why had he come? She didn't want this memory tonight! She had been happy and now she knew she would be thinking of Nina for days. It had been the hardest loss Magda had to face. More then her mother and father. With them it had been overwhelming, but with Nina she had loved her and promised to protect her and she died. For no reason at all. The doctor had said it happened sometimes.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION He left liked to see Magda cry, especially if it was not out of joy. But there was also limited time, and he did not wish to waste it finding ways to soften the blow. Try to ease into the conversation. There was no easing into it. He had found out that a daughter he didn't know he had, was raised by the man he hated the most . . . and tried to kill him. "No," he stated, hearing her words, the past tense, as he had used. Now, it was time to change that. "You have a daughter." He paused for another moment, knowing he had to yet again amend that statement.
"We have a daughter." Because it was his. Had he known she was pregnant . . . he wouldn't have left her so quickly. His pursuit of Shaw may not have halted completely, but he knew his priorities would have shifted. So knowing that she had gone through it alone, only to have her daughter taken from him -- who knows what she was told about the child -- well, it certainly made him think back on how things could have been different. But it was futile, to lament on the past. He needed to focus on the present. On the future. "I know this, because I've seen her." He met her but their meeting hadn't exactly been a pleasant one.

Baby mine, don't you cry,He corrected her, and Magda took another step back, trying to protect herself from his words. No. No her daughter was dead, and she'd visited the grave many times. It was why she'd settled in the area, to be close tot he grave. Nina had died for unknown reasons. She'd mourned her! "Erik, no. Stop, please!" She whispered, trying to stop his words. She couldn't handle this right now. The pain of loosing her daughter was the hardest thing she'd had to live through.
He'd seen her? Magda felt tears on her cheeks now. "Erik," Magda began slowly, as she tried to find the words. "Erik, Nina died." She said softly, trying explain what had happened. "I didn't know I was pregnant until a month after we parted ways. I didn't know how to find you. When she was born, she was small. They said that . . . that sometimes these things happen. That there was nothing I could have done. She died a few hours later." These words hurt so much to say. Her baby! Her little baby that had a small head full of black curls! She'd died! And it had broken Magda. Broken in a way that took years to recover from enough to find her life like this. "The grave is not far from here." Is that what he had meant? He'd seen the grave?
