Things between he and Magda had been tense. Ever since he had discovered that Polaris was his daughter, there was a tension between them. It had been appeased at times, but it was always there. It had intensified after the fight between them -- when Magda had electrocuted Polaris. The conversation that had followed had been intense and brought up many subjects of children, marriage, and so on. Erik had once been a boy who believed he would get married, but no longer. He never intended to get married, or have children, or own a home. None of that changed. Even though he had a daughter, he had never intended it to happen. He still had no intention of getting married, and the home he owned was that within the Brotherhood. However, with all that said, he was still committed to a woman; one he feared he was slowly losing from all that was happening. And it was understandable. The subject of children was a sensitive one and she was forced to face it every single day.
So Magneto knew he had to do something to show her how much he cared about her. And that he was not trying to pick one woman over the other. Her remark about marriage had resonated with him. While he was not going to ask her to marry him, he could do something else that he had not done ever since she had come to the Brotherhood: join their rooms. He had always had his own and she hers, despite the frequency in which they spent time in each others chambers. But he hoped that with this, it would prove to her that he was committed to her. That he may not ever want to get married, but he wanted to be with her. He also wanted this to be a gesture rather than a conversation, for he knew it was something she wanted. So, without speaking a word to her, he had shifted every one of her belongings from her room, and transferred it to his, putting everything in place so that it looked as if it had always been there; blending it with his own belongings, but still easily spotted. When everything was done, he departed his room for a few moments, deciding that it would add to the surprise if she did not see him in it, for he knew that once she realized her room had been emptied, she would come looking for him. And he wasn't far away. He would come only moments after she did; after he let the surprise slowly sink in. Tag Magda

Magda walked from the kitchen, turning the light off with her powers. It was clean once again, and that always made her rest easier. She wanted to seek out Erik, but was half afraid she'd find him with . . . her. Magda was feeling a bit clear and calm since she had not been faced to face with 'her' all day, and in this moment of clear thinking she knew that it wasn't just the reminder of her past that made her hate Polaris, but also a jealously. She had always been Erik's one exception. The broken rule. It was how she knew that he felt more for her then what he could express with words. Now there was another broken rule, and one she could have no part of.
The special feeling she had of knowing she was one of (if not THE) most important person to him, was fading. It felt her unsure, and she did not handle it well. She did feel guilty. Magda didn't want to be this person, and didn't want to put Erik in the middle. Just as she also knew that she could not stop. His actions of leaving her, and going to another so soon, still hurt. She had not expected him to remain faithful to her when they both had never expected to see the other again (she had expected him to move on, and even apart of her hoped he had found love, while the other part hoped he always missed her and no one could compare), but so soon, and to leave her for being a human, and turning to a human . . . it turned the old memory even more painful.
Slowing outside her door, she paused there. Erik. She missed him and they were in the same building! Inhaling deeply, she let it out in a huff. She should go and find him. After a moment she ended up pushing the door open to her room, and walking in. No, she would wait until she knew he was alone, and find him then. If she found him with Polaris then it could only end up in a fight. Fighting meant she would be sleeping alone tonight, as she had too many times since he told her of his daughter.
Turning the light on with her powers, Magda closed her eyes, while rubbing the back of her neck. As she walked in, and opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed was it wasn't as bright in here. The lamp by her desk was missing. And near it her necklace was missing too. The once Erik gave her. It was her prize possession, and one she had kept near to her since she was 11 and he'd given it too her. Over thrifty years. And it wasn't where she left it. Her hands shook, as she also begin noticing other things missing. More then other things--everything! EVERYTHING was missing from HER room! "Polaris." She hissed out, and turned to storm out.
The door shook with the force from hitting the wall, and Magda half ran, half stomped to find Erik. She could have just sought out Polaris, but if this was going to work (what little it would) then he would have to deal with this. She could feel her hands shaking as she turned down his hall, and pushed open his door, "ERIK!" Where was he? Not here. Turning she went to go find him elsewhere but something caught her eye.
Her necklace. Breath escaped her at the sight of it safe and untainted by that woman's hands. It was there, displayed like she kept it. . . . near her lamp . . . and brush . . . and . . .
Magda felt the emotion leave her body as surprise took over. A stunned sort of surprise that left her standing their slack jawed and unable to look away from her things mingled with his. Slowly she began ti look around the room, picking up notice of her other things. Books she enjoyed reading. Some of her clothes. Other jewelry she owned. All her things were here, and they were set in place. Erik's idea of place at least. She could tell that. It reminded her of the hotel rooms they used to share--and suddenly she was back there. Not in the painful memories, but the good ones. Of being young and in love and teasing him for making everything have a place, and be ordered while she was the type to drop it in the floor until she needed it the next day.
She felt something run over her cheek and know she was crying, and she didn't even know what was happening here yet. Her hand lifted to cover her lip, while the other rested over her belly. In her mind she could hear the voices of the past,
You imagined me? All the time.
That's called cheating, You have your abilities, and I have mine.
It is not often that we have the opportunity to make our dreams a reality,
I like the idea of wrinkling you.
Thanks be to you Magda, for the first time in years, I truly feel alive.
I applaud you in how you choose to perceive the world, but I cannot share the same views as you.
You are utterly exquisite
I never dreamed it could be like this.
Are you going to be able to stay out of trouble?
Magda realized then that she had made a complete circle, and was now standing staring at Erik who had walked in the door. She wasn't sure how long she had been standing there staring at him, she only knew that in this moment her heart was about to break, only this time it was because it was so full. Her hand fell from her lips, and moved to wipe away the tears on her cheek. "Erik," I love you.

Erik was not far from the room and so when he returned, she had already made the discovery of where her things had been moved to. He silently watched her, allowing it all to sink in. Based on her expression and the tears that fell from her eyes, he could assume that she was pleased. Or so he hoped. She knew he was not one to get married and she had never pressured him to become such a man who wished for this . . . so this was the least he could do. To show her how much he cared about her and how much he wanted to be with her. He did not say anything or move until she turned to look at him, now noticing his presence. He let a few more wordless moments passed before he took a few steps into the room after having stood in the threshold of the door. She however spoke the first word; one that was simple yet filled with emotion. He could hear it in her tone and see it in her eyes.
"I hope your new accommodations are to your liking," he said, as if this was incredibly casually . . . and perhaps it was also a bit of a tease. As previously established, things had been more tense than they were used to ever since she'd joined the Brotherhood. He then lifted his hand, and without breaking his gaze from her, used his powers to move the necklace he had made for her so many years ago, toward him, until it rested on his hand. "May I?" He asked, somewhat rhetorically, for while he said the words, he approached her, standing behind her as he used his hands to put the piece of jewelry on around her neck. He knew he could use his powers, but he wanted to feel her skin under his touch, as his fingers trailed along the soft skin of her neck. The necklace had been all he could offer her at the time of their imprisonment and it symbolized so much, even more so considering she had kept it all this time. Which was why he wanted to put it on her now; to show that despite the frequent arguments they had, they were still united.

"I hope your new accommodations are to your liking," Her new accommodations. Her new room. No, not her's. Theirs. They were in the same room now. There would be no more seeking the other out to see if they wanted to spend time with one another. No more escaping to their own rooms so they could be alone after a fight. No more wanting to be with him and having to look for him. Or going to her room int he morning the change for the day. Because they were sharing. Erik was inviting her into his world in a way that he could not escape her from. There would be no more alone time because they would be alone together. Always. "Yes," She barley got out over her emotions, the best ones she had felt in a long time. "Very much so."
"May I?" He used his powers to bring the necklace to him, but then used his hands to put it on her. At first she had not planned to move her hair--for he did not need it moved to use his powers--but when he began doing things with his hands she lifted her hair up so he could clasp it around her neck. Once there, her hand dropped her hair, while moving to touch the necklace and turn to face him. The fact that he took the time and effort to do it without his powers told her so much about what was between them, and eased a lot of the uncertainty between them. "This has been, and will always be, the object I value most." Because of the boy who had given it too her, and the man he turned out to be.
Her other hand, the one not touching the necklace, moved out to rest on his forearm. "I don't wish to question something that has made me so happy but . . . " Why now? What had made him decide that he wished this now? She could imagine a few things, but she wanted to know what this was for him. She needed to understand what was happening so she could know what was happening between them.

She stated that the necklace was something she most valued of all her possessions. Having given it to her at the time, he had not know the two of them would have such a great future -- or any future beyond the concentration camp. But seeing that she had carried it with her all this time, made the fact that he often thought of her, rather mutual. He grew slightly distracted from such thoughts when she questioned his actions. She assured him that she was happy with this, and he could understand her reasons for asking why now. After years of being together, months back before he'd killed Shaw, and the years they reunited. He had never been good at vocalizing how he felt, or even the reasons he did things -- unless it involved politics and the fight for mutant freedom. So she asked him a question now, that took him a few moments in order to form words and have a suitable response.
"This place is our home," he told her, thinking back to her use of the word 'home' when she had been telling him off about Polaris -- after his daughter had electrocuted her. He response was that it was his home too. "But in order to remain true to the essence of the word, I believe we should live in it, together. For that is truly what makes a place a home." Having her with him, was what would make this place a home rather than just a house or a base of operations. This was his life now, and while he may never get married or have any more children . . . he could at least have a home. With her.

"This place is our home," Our home. Not his or her's but theirs. She had noticed the words not long ago when they talked about their home, but she had called it her own, and he his own too. They'd not said it was something shared between them. Now he was! For Erik to be the one taking this first step, and for her to have not even pushed him toward it said so much about everything between them. She had begun to doubt, while he had been seeking to strengthen what was between them.
"For that is truly what makes a place a home." Their home. Magda smiled brighter, looking up at him with a happiness she had not felt in so long. Erik often made her happy in the little things he did; making sure their were cherries around, the touches in bed, the time he spent with her when he could be busy taking over the world--even his name, for he allowed her to call him Erik when human names were not common here.
But this was something of the likes he had never done before. The grand gesture had taken her so much by surprise that she was at a lost for words. "I . . . " Magda laughed softly, while words failed her. How did she tell him what this meant to her? That making this something shared felt for her. " . . . This is . . . " That it felt wonderful, and took her back to when they were years younger, and traveling the world with out any cares or pressures that now faced them.
In the end, she laughed again, moving closer to kiss him, for when ever she failed at words, she knew this would help express everything she felt.

It was not too often that Erik was able to do something to leave Magda speechless -- apart from their more, intimate activities. And it had certainly been a while since he was able to leave her wordless, in a good way. So hearing her reaction, as nonverbal as it was, filled him with relief. Perhaps this would end the strain that had befallen their relationship ever since the truth of Polaris was known to them both. Her actions further strengthened this assumption when she moved closer to kiss him. He closed his eyes, fully reacting to the embrace as he deepened the kiss, expressing his own affections and adoration for her, because where he often failed with words in expressing this, he tended to make up for in actions. And thankfully, Magda understood that.
His hands went to either side of her waist, keeping her in place against him as he allowed himself the pleasure he always derived from any contact he had with her and as they both were very aware of, they had not shared many moments such as this since the conversation he had when returning from uncovering the truth. He slowly began to pull away, remaining close to her should he wish to kiss her again -- which, he knew he would. He opened his eyes to look at her for a moment. "I will take this as a definite yes to my initial question." The question he had asked when he'd first entered to see her here, regarding her liking to her their new accommodations. While she had answered it then, he was merely teasing her now. And with those words, he leaned forward again, once again, feeling the softness of her lips against his.

Erik broke the kiss to tease her, and Magda felt herself smile at his words. The ease at which they could talk and jest in this moment was wonderful, for in this moment all the hurt she had been feeling was pushed back, and she was reminded of the love she felt for her, and how he made her feel. Erik had never said the words to her, but he made her feel loved . . . especially in times likes these.
He stole another kiss, and Magda didn't even think of protesting, or trying to tell him yes. Let him read it into the kiss again, for she was thinking it, it was pumping her her blood and singing in the warmth of her skin. Gasping a soft inhale when the kiss broke, Magda looked up at him. "I never said yes," She teased in a tone that for the first time in months was clear she was teasing and happy. "I think you are assuming too much." Reaching up she grasped his . . . lapels . . . and pulled him toward her, "It will take much more to please me, for I have been without you for a while." Mainly because they had not been ease together.
Glancing around the room, Magda tried to imagine them living together. Erik liked this neat, while she was more of a free drop it in the floor girl. It would take some adjustments on both their parts but together they could work past this. Looking back at up him, Magda laughed softly, "Are you sure about this?" She didn't want this because he was trying to make amends, but because he wanted it.

He gave a slight smile when she teased him about assuming too much, and about how it would take a lot more to please her. To share a room was not just about sharing a bed. They had done that for many nights, and he knew that this was something far more, far deeper than that. But with that in mind, being together every night, sharing that space, certainly had its advantages. Such as the one she hinted at now. She then asked him a question, regarding his certainty. "I never do anything unless I am sure." Meaning, he would not have made his decision had he not been entirely certain. He knew it was something she wanted, and something he wanted too. While this was indeed prompted by the recent discovery of his daughter, it had merely been a catalyst. For when he felt the distance between them -- emotional and physical -- he began to realize that he could not be so quick to let her go. And that he wanted to do something to make her stay. This was it.
"I know that this is not how you envisioned your life to be." With the Brotherhood, under the same roof of his daughter . . . that, and so many other things. "But I want to be a part of it." A part of her life. He was not one to overly use words to express how he was feeling. And knew that even now with his grand gesture, he still had to explain himself so that she understood that this was not a fleeting thought that he would later regret. He put careful thought and consideration into it. "If you decide to let me." For he would never force her to stay if she truly was unhappy . . . which he had a feeling she was growing to be due to their recent conflict. Though now, he felt that it was mending.

"I never do anything unless I am sure." No, he wouldn't. With Erik everything was well planned and detailed, which meant this wasn't something he had just thought up, but had thought of for a while. Planned it, and envisioned it perfectly before carrying it out. It meant he wanted this. He was sure! Magda found herself smiling brightly at his words. "Very true. How sensible of you." She teased him with words that she had sued before, but not since they were young and full of life.
She had long since stopped teasing him for being sensible, and had instead just taken comfort in that he always had a plan. That he would make sure she was alright. "I know that this is not how you envisioned your life to be." No, it was far from how she had once thought life would be like, but it was the one she had made--by her own choice, and by her own will. He had given her that power. To be free for the first time.
"But I want to be a part of it." Did he not know he already was? That everything she did she did for him? For them? She believed that someone needed to fight for them, but never would have had the courage to do it herself. Not until him. "If you decide to let me." Magda smiled brightly, and for the first time in their whole relationship, was honest with him, and unafraid of that honesty. Of what the words might mean between them, and of what might happen afterwards. "When I was 11, I met you . . . and for the moments we had then I felt a bit of light in the darkness. Like things could be better. And then I lost you, but you found me again, and it was easy. It was so easy to just be with you." Until it ended with a horrid and emotionally damaging loss. "And then you found me again. And while it has not always been easy, the one thing that never changed was that you make me feel stronger, Erik. Safer, more able. Like I do not need to sit back and hide, but that I too had the strength to stand up and say this was wrong. To fight for what was right. You give me that. You make me feel loved, Erik, and it is because I love you that I would rather take the hard times with you, then face good ones alone."
"And no rowdy humans, or . . . . . surprises . . . . are going to change that." Surprise being his daughter.

Magda began to recall their history: when they first met, to when they were parted, to each reunion they shared. It was true that she was one of the very few people that would always have a special place in his heart. At the time they met, he had been a frightened boy, losing a piece of his soul and spirit each and every day he was tortured at the hands of Shaw. But she had given him that glimmer of hope and she too represented some goodness in all that was dark. He knew then, that he would always remember her; and always care for her. Feelings that had just intensified as he grew older and was reunited with her. Even under the belief that she was a human, he had allowed himself to be selfish and stay with her . . . knowing that it would not have been able to last. And it hadn't. Due to very unexpected circumstances. She went on to say all that she felt when she was with him. That he made her feel stronger and safer, and determined to fight for the cause of the Brotherhood. It wasn't until she said those three words that he paused. They had never said them to each other, but they had certainly shown them. Hearing them however . . . it certainly felt different.
Words of affection did not come easily to Magneto, despite how strongly he cared for someone. He used actions to express his care for another, rather than verbal communication. He gave a slight smile, though his expression was more softened, not bothering to remain guarded when in her presence. Not when she expressed this to him and then spoke of her commitment to him . . . of how nothing would change either of those things. "The feeling is mutual, Magda," he told her. For he indeed, loved her too. "And my commitment to you is unwavering, regardless of what surprises and obstacles we face." His daughters. His sister. A family that he had not known of nor exactly readily embraced due to very complex reasons. But he wanted her to know that in all she told him about how she felt, he felt the same way. "Our past and present together has not always been easy." That was a bit of an understatement. "But I can not foresee another in my future." For he too would rather be with her and endure all that the world had to throw at them, rather than be without her. "Nor would I want to." Which was partly why he did this. Because he wanted her to stay, and he needed to show her that, rather than just tell her.

Magda smiled up at him, feeling her heart swelling with love at his returned words. At his honesty, and his wishes for them. This was more then she had imagined for them, and that he was giving it to her it made her feel so much more united with him. As if they were unbreakable in their relationship.
"I could not imagine my life any other way then by your side." Not only because she'd be dead twice over with out him, but because she loved him. "Just as I could not imagine any other way to spend this this night, then in our bed." Magda put her hands on his shoulders and pushed him back, turning him so his back was to the bed before pushing so he would fall backwards on to it, she used to do when they were younger. Then, she climbed up over him, and smiled down at him. The first night of many, began now.
