Nina walked into the room and took one look at John and her father before running over to the body on the floor. "DID YOU KILL HIM?" Nina asked, checking for a plus and looking up at his face she spoke without thinking. "He was supposed to wait for me to tell you about the baby!I wanted to tell you myself!" Nina stood up and noticed her father's face was changing. A lot. It was her first clue that this might not have been what she thought had happened.
"He was unconscious when I found him." Papa said, and then stared at her. Oh! . . . . . oooohhhhh. . . . . oh. Oh gosh. Oh no. She'd outed herself after keeping this a secret for 2 months. Oh shit. Nina knew that she had been planning to tell her father before her 18 birthday but hadn't found the right time. She had not expected to walk in and find John on the floor--for some reason. She wasn't worried about him. He had a pulse and she'd get him ice for the bump on the head in a moment. Right now, she needed to focus on the other issue. " . . . . Papa . . . . . ummm . . . . . well . . . "
She wasn't a coward but her father was something else. He'd never hurt her, but disappointing him was something she hated doing. Lorna was the wild one. Lorna should be the one knocked up by a random guy when she was 17 and derailing her college career. Nina was the go to the best college on a full academic scholarship and graduate early with high honors as valedictorian type. "I'm pregnant." And he was going to be a grandfather! It seems to universe really wanted this plot to happen! Erik Lehnsherr

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION When Pyro hadn't shown up for patrol, Erik knew something was wrong. If there was one thing he would not fault the mutant on, it was fulfilling his duty. Showing up when expected. Most of the time. It had taken training, but he learned. When Lorna didn't know where he was either, Magneto said he would take care of it . . . and it only took a few areas of searching until he found him. Seeing him on the ground, Erik approached him, fingers going to his neck to check if he was alive. He felt relieved when the pulse was strong. The last thing they needed was for a someone to be murdering their people in a place that should be safe. He was about to stand up to get him some help, when the door swung open and in came Nina, rushing towards him.
Erik just watched her, slightly confused as to why her immediate thought was that he killed him. What possible incentive would he have to -- "He was supposed to wait for me to tell you about the baby! I wanted to tell you myself!" That was when his own question was answered. The words frozen in his mind as his body stilled. The baby. The baby?! Erik's expression shifted as he just stared at his daughter. She seemed to realize his lack of knowledge in this area as he told her that he was unconscious when he found him. And . . . the truth had just spilled. She watched her, eyes locked onto her as she stammered to a stand, looking at him, and then finally bluntly stating the words that she had said in a panic earlier. "I'm pregnant." Magneto felt as if he was finding out about another one of his children. That familiar shock, surprise and . . . array of emotions that coursed through him. And just like always, he fell silent.
Processing the information. His daughter, his baby . . . was having a baby. He didn't even need to ask who the father was because she had made it abundantly clear. And, it somehow only made Erik more unsettled to know that . . . wait, were they together? Was it serious? Had Pyro been hiding this from him? Had his daughter been hiding this? She was pregnant but . . . since when? His mind went back to when she had been unwell. But, that was months ago. Months. "How long?" Was all he managed to get out. How long had she known she was pregnant? His words and demeanour composed, stoic. Eerily so. For it was when he was all too calm, that those who knew him well, were aware that it wasn't necessarily a good thing.
