Personality

.:Personality:. Melinda is a shy person, but if you are her family or friends, she a bit outgoing around them. But when she doesn't do homework, she reads and writing poetry it helps her claim down or even clear her mind to think better. She loves fresh flowers and walking barefoot you could say she is a free spirit of her spare time she is not working. Plus she loves to run and save the world when she is asked to do it.

.:History:. Melinda Abree Johnson was born in Mystic Falls, Virginia and daughter to Abraham Henry Johnson and Marie Giovanna Johnson on September 28. She was their only child and her family dates back to the early 1900s living in Mystic Falls from her father's side of the family. Melinda was a happy child and she made friends easy. Her father worked as a teacher at Whitmore College teaching law. Her mother worked in town running a little flower shop called Full Circle Flowers.

Melinda was a bit like her mother she loved flowers and would help her mother in the shop even at the age of five she would be in the shop playing in the shop some would call her flower girl. As she would hand flowers to the customers that would come in. Her young childhood was like many others. She went to school and hanged out with her friends. But in high school Melinda joined the choir and was very good at singing. But Melinda worked at her mother's shop and helped with big orders. But when she got out of school on afternoon heading to the shop she found the shop on fire and her mother was still inside.

She rushed for the door when her uncle Jacob Samuel Johnson pulled her back. As the fire fighters tried to pull her mother out but with no luck. Melinda's life changed when her own mother died in the fire. Her uncle called his brother and told him what happen. Melinda was only sixteen when that happen. Melinda was shocked how many people showed up at her mother's funeral sum she never met before. But what really shocked her was the fight at the wake between her father and uncle.

Her father blamed his own brother for the fire. The whole town seem to be there. Melinda yelled that is enough my mother was buried all you two can fight. Then she stormed out of the house pass her father and uncle standing there shocked them self's at what happen. Melinda headed to the park that her mother took her to as a child and set there on a bench in tears. She heard footsteps and she slowly turned around to see who was there. When she did there was no one there. She stood up and walked back to the house and started to talk to the people still there at the wake.

Her father and uncle had left the house to take her uncle to the airport so he could go back to New Orleans for his job. When her father got back everyone had left and he told Melinda he was sorry for the way he acted and also told her uncle was sorry for acting that way. Melinda said nothing but hugged her father tightly letting the tears out. Melinda then spent the whole night in tears.

The next day she stayed home from school just mourning the loss of her mother which was a week for Melinda before she went back to school. It soon was her powers started to show. Her father and uncle knew this place was not safe for her and started to look for a place that would help her.
