Clarice was nervous. Although, all the adults here were extremely kind and compassionate. She had never been given so much support. Or well, she used to receive it from her parents back when she didn't look like . . . this. Purple hair, permanent markings on her face, abnormally pale skin, vibrant green eyes . . . she was fully aware that she looked different. Not, human. And yet, those here accepted her immediately. They even seemed to understand what she was going through. There were others in the school who had their own distinctive marks and that made her feel a little better, but that same insecurity still filled her entire being. Her classes would start on Monday and that was only adding to her anxiety of being here. While the adults/teachers were nice, would the other students be as well? Would they too accept her? Would they ridicule her as they had when she was in school elsewhere? So many questions, so many uncertainties.
She had emerged from her room for the first time today and was attempting to find the kitchen. She had no idea where she was going though. This place was enormous! And apparently, it was actually the house of Professor Xaiver! Imagine! It housed SO many people, she couldn't believe he had actually grown up here. Her parents would have loved it, because even though they were upper class, surely even they had never seen a house as large and grand as this. However, though Clarice admired it's beauty, she was getting increasingly confused as to how to get to the kitchen. She was fairly certain she had taken a few wrong turns and could have sworn she was walking in a circle. With each person that passed the hall, she would open her mouth to ask them, but no sound would come out. She was too shy, too afraid of how they would look at her.
But she also knew that at this point, she probably looked ridiculous aimlessly wandering around. As she silently passed one person, she thought to ask them, and the thought played in her head as they walked right by each other. She turned her head behind her, debating on whether she should call to them. Fate had something else in store though. As she foolishly walked forward with her head turned, she collided into someone else! Her head jerked forward and her eyes widened with surprise. It was a young man, student, person! If her skin didn't stay this pale shade, then she was positive that her cheeks would have turned red from embarrassment. "Oh my god! I am so sorry!" She began to quickly say, feeling so very small right now. "I... I wasn't looking where I'm going, I'm so sorry!" Her eyes looked too the ground, far too embarrassed to look at the man she had just bumped into. So much for a good first impression!

Bobby had spent the afternoon practicing with Colossus in the simulator room. They had both really given their abilities a workout. Bobby was getting more and more control over his powers. He was able to use them longer without getting tired, and with more precision. He was really proud of himself and the progress he was making, he hoped that the teachers saw that too, and that they'd stop seeing him as just a kid and let him go on missions with them. He knew he could help. Maybe someday. Maybe he'd even teach here one day, it wasn't like there were a lot of other job prospects for him, unless he wanted to fill up ice machines for a living.
Bobby and Colossus had just parted ways and he was walking down the hallway when he turned a corner and bumped into a girl. "Oh hey! I'm sorry!" He told her, smiling as she apologized, keeping her gaze down. "Hey, really its okay, it was probably my fault" He told her. He looked at her a little longer, not having remembered seeing her around the school before. Was she new? Was she just touring? The professor would hate it if he was rude and scared away someone checking the place out. "Really, no harm done....are you new here? I dont remember seeing you around? I'm Bobby" He said extending out his hand, hoping he hadn't scared her away.
