Peter never thought he would be in this position as a Professor to young children that were like him but it turns out that there was a first time for everything when it came to the universe. Peter was in the middle of having his students taking a test on what they had talked about the prior week. He knew that he had some kids who didn't listen all of the time and he liked doing these surprise tests whenever he felt like it to mess with the kids. It amused Peter very much but not the kids. He looked at a picture of him and his mother on his desk as he was waiting for his kids to finish. The silver haired boy picked it up and looked at it closely and saw that he should have had both parents in this picture, it was only of him and his mother and he remembered how he felt lonely but he was thankful for his mother for always being there and dealing with his nonsense. Peter put the picture back and finished watching his students finish their papers. Erik Lehnsherr

Tag: @peter Note: Better layout coming soon! Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik still had not fully processed the recent revelation. He had returned to Genosha when Selene had told him. Told him . . . that he had a son. In the days after Jean's death and Charles' departure, Magneto had remained for a short time -- a matter of a couple days -- at the school to ensure everything was well and running efficiently. It was what Charles would have wanted. Erik had every intention of finding his friend once he had some time to clear his mind -- the irony of that. But right now, his priority was . . . his son. The so unfamiliar to his mind. For not only did he have a son, but he knew his son. Surface level.
He knew his name, he knew his powers, the young man had helped him on numerous occasions, but . . . Magneto could not help of that singular moment in time, where Peter had told him over a decade ago that he too was here for family. It made sense now, and made Erik all too aware that Peter knew he was his father. While it took the pressure away from telling Peter of that, it still left him uncertain how to have that conversation. All Erik did know, was that he had to have it. And that determination led him back to the school. He wasn't certain how long he had been standing outside until he finally entered, greeting by Hank as Magneto explained he was just here to visit. Who else knew? How many people knew? The loss of his daughter and wife would always be keenly felt, a piece of his heart broken by their deaths . . . so to find out he had a son.
No. It was too much to be fully absorbed. Yet, here he was. Standing outside the classroom that he was directed to, for it was said Peter was teaching a class. Taking a slow breath, Magneto knocked on the door before opening it, all eyes falling on him. But Erik's remained on Peter because for the first time . . . he was looking at him as his son. "I was wondering if I could have a word, after your class." Magneto was not one to beat around the bush, but in this case, he had to admit . . . he was grateful for those few additional moments to stall. Despite his racing mind, he maintained the stoic composure he often carried himself with. He was only uncertain as to how long it would last once the conversation between them in private, truly got started.

Peter had a few students already hand in their paper and go back to take their seats, he continued to do some reading of the papers that were handed to him, some of them were so off but they had some of the right concept. The silver haired speedster sighed as he continued to make corrections where it was needed, more papers came piling up and Peter remained calm. As soon as the last paper was on his desk the door was being knocked on and there standing at the door was Magneto or Erik or his father, whichever one fit him in that moment. Erik spoke and Peter heard the seriousness in his voice and nodded. He stood from his desk and looked at the kids. "Class is done early today, papers will be graded and handed back to you next week, class dismissed" Peter gestured to the door as the kids happily left and Peter ran to the door shut it then back to his chair and sat down in a matter of two seconds. He gestured to the chair in front of his desk. "What happened? You sound serious" Peter asked. Erik Lehnsherr

Tag: @peter Note: Better layout coming soon! Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Magneto stood patiently as Peter dismissed his class, glancing as the students hurried out before Peter closed the door. He asked him what happened; he commented on how he sound serious . . . and Erik still didn't know what to say. How to say it. How to say that he knew what Peter knew. How would it effect their relationship? Erik looked at the young man before him, exceptional abilities, a strength of heart, strong character . . . and all he could think of is how he missed his life.
Helping to create a child was not the same as being a father, and he'd not been one to Peter. Had he known . . . perhaps things would have been different. Erik valued family so strongly, and discovering there was someone out there who was a part of him, felt surreal. "I'm . . . " He wasn't one to stutter, or stammer. He was just truly at a loss of what to say, though was determined to say it before they parted ways . . . if that was how their fate lay. "Nothings happened," he answered, regaining himself, regathering himself. "I just came to see how things were going here." It wasn't a total lie.
Erik did wish to check on the school, but it was specific Peter who had taken priority. He wanted to ask him how he was doing, but it seemed odd to engage in surface level pleasantries after what he knew. What they both knew. So then, came the question that he hoped Peter understood. wasn't entirely planning, but Erik often spoke from the heart. "Why didn't you tell me?" His words holding emotion in them, a softer tone than what he had spoken with Peter in the past. Void of anger, but filled with genuine curiosity . . . with lament.

Peter watched Erik as he looked over Peter, the silver boy was confused but he sat there nonetheless. Seeing Erik looked choked up? Was odd for him, Erik was usually confident and badass but he looked... Nervous? He didn't know. When Erik said nothing had happened Peter was able to relax and nodded. "Well that is good, you had me worried that something bad had happened" Peter said to him. "Things are going good here, the kids are doing really good and catching on quickly which is good for us" Peter explained. Peter was organizing his papers when he heard Erik speak and was confused. "Tell you what?" Asked Peter. Erik Lehnsherr

Tag: @peter Note: Better layout coming soon! Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Though Erik was listening to what Peter was saying, and even relieved to hear that things were going well in the school . . . he was too fixed on his true purpose for being here. "I don't always come bearing bad news," Magneto said almost teasingly, though lacking joviality. He knew that in the past . . . his presence was often cause for alarm. But not anymore. He wouldn't attack a place that held his . . . son.
The word just as unfamiliar as it was before. And it seemed Magneto was going to be forced to say it. For Peter just asked him. He remained silent, knowing he had to answer the question. How Peter had managed to keep this quiet for over a decade . . . well, it must have been very difficult indeed.
"That . . . you're my son." Saying it felt . . . he couldn't even describe it. He had never referred to anyone as such before, never believing he had a son. And so, the word felt as foreign on his tongue as it did in his mind. But he had said it. And all he could do was watch Peter closely. Yes, Magneto certainly wasn't one who stalled for long.

Peter couldn't help but snort when it came to Erik saying he don't always come bearing bad news. "Nowadays you can never be too sure when it comes to enemies" which was true. There was a new enemy everyday and it was tough but Peter was always ready for a fight. Always. Peter happened to still be organizing when Erik dropped the bombshell. He stilled and then felt like the air had been removed from his lungs. He knew. Shit! Peter looked at Erik and simply sighed. "I didn't know you were until after I broke you out from the pentagon, but when I came to save you from Apocalypse I was going to tell you but it didn't seem like the right time since you just lost your wife and daughter. I didn't want to spring that on you" he explained. Erik Lehnsherr

Tag: @peter Note: Better layout coming soon! Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION After he had broken him out of the Pentagon. Peter's confirmation that he had been holding onto this for ten years . . . stung. Erik knew that perhaps it shouldn't, but it did. He valued family above all else but to see that Peter perhaps never would have told him about being his son, for it was Erik who had sought him out, caused his heart to ache more than he cared to admit. Was it out of fear for who he was? Shame?
The mention of his wife and daughter only causing that ache to intensify. Where he spent years feeling the loss of a child . . . only to find out later that he not only had one who still lived, but two. Lorna and Peter. "There never would be a wrong time to tell me something like that." To tell someone that they were their father. A parent, who had never been around. A parent, who did not even know the child existed. "Would you ever have told me?" He couldn't help but ask; somehow needing to know so that Magneto could determine how to proceed. For if Peter kept it from him, because he lacked desire to form that sort of relationship with Erik . . . then he knew he would have to respect the younger man's decision.

Peter knew that he should have told Erik now that the two are face to face in front of each other it stung that he never confessed his true identity to him. He felt like he had failed him as a son, but then again Peter was scared and was thinking of him through his decision. Peter nodded his head and sighed. "Believe me I know Erik and I am sorry, I really thought that I was doing you the favor and not telling you weeks after you just lost Magda and Nina" he thought it was the right thing at the time. When Erik asked him if he planned to ever tell Erik, Peter nodded. "I wanted to, but if it wasn't you just losing your wife and daughter it was some kind of threat. You have no idea how many times I've planned to write or just to show up to your island and just confessing it all to you. Threats and dangers threatened the school and I just never came around to telling you" Peter confessed. Erik Lehnsherr

Tag: @peter Note: Better layout coming soon! Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Hearing Peter apologize gave Erik some . . . hope. He wasn't even sure if that was the right word to describe it. But to hear that his lack of reveal was not due to hatred or fear of the man but rather, circumstance, gave Magneto some assurance. But still. To keep such a thing quiet for so long . . . he couldn't help but wonder how things would be different had he known, or if they would have been different at all. He remained silent for several moments, a small nod in acknowledgement of Peter's words. The next subject was one Magneto knew he had to speak of, to clarify. To explain.
"Your mother," he began to say, knowing it was a subject that had to be discussed. "Things with her and I did, not end well." He remembered her very well, and recalled what parted them. He'd never seen her after that and while part of him wanted to reach out to her now, knowing they shared a son . . . he knew that for her sake, he probably shouldn't. Though he wondered what she had Peter about him. Hardly many good things he imagined. "But I want you to know, I had no idea she was pregnant." He hoped Peter knew that; that he believed him. For despite how things were between him and his mother . . . Erik would not abandoned her with a child. He valued family far too much to do that.

Peter felt guilty, he knew he should have told Erik about how he was his son but didn't know how and now here they were having a conversation. Peter could understand if Erik was upset and angry with him for not telling him what his mother had finally confessed to him. When Peter heard Erik talk about his mother he looked at Erik and waited until he was finished. "My mom never went into extreme detail on what happened between the two of you but she did tell me how you both split up" Peter exclaimed. The silver haired boy played with his thumbs and put his head down when he heard Erik say how he had no idea. Deep down Peter knew that, hell his mother even told him that but Peter always believed that Erik knew but he knew that it was a lie that Erik knew. Peter felt tears pierce his eyes and he let out a small sob. "I'm sorry" Peter whispered. Erik Lehnsherr

Tag: @peter Note: Better layout coming soon! Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik wondered if it was a good thing that she hadn't gone into the details of it. It hadn't exactly been an amicable parting of ways, but he also recognized that he was in a very different state of mind at the time. Obsessed with finding Shaw and avenging his mother. It had certainly set him on a dangerous path and there had not been much room for partners in it. With the exception of perhaps one. "I was, on a very different path at the time." He wanted to spare Peter the darker details for it would bring up his past in the camps. A past that seldom few knew about.
Watching Peter as he became emotion had Erik pause where he stood. He knew what it was to be a father, and perhaps seeing who was now revealed as his son emotional and upset, tapped into his paternal instinct that he thought long since numbed . . . until it was discovered about Lorna. And now, he had a son. Though he knew he had not yet honoured the name of father. It was currently just a title, but he had to fulfill the role, didn't he? Was it something that Peter even wanted? Natural instinct took over and as Erik was a man of action fuelled by emotions, this was no exception.
He took the few steps over to Peter, reaching out and gently touching him on the back; a gesture meant to comfort. "You don't need to apologize," he assured him in a soft voice. There was a great deal Erik had done that one could fault him with, but knowingly being a failure of a father was not one he wished to add to the list. They had yet to explore the dynamic of this familial relation but right now . . . he just felt as if Peter needed that comfort, of both actions and verbal assurance that he did not have to be sorry.

Peter never understood relationships when it came to them, and he most certainly didn't understand the relationship between his mom and dad... Dad? That was definitely weird to say or even think really. He knew one day he'd know the truth but he also didn't want to know in fear that it would be something that he wasn't ready to hear. "Well whatever it was or is, you both got me out of the deal. I know I am probably not someone you envisioned as your son, I mean my hair is silverish white and I am quick, I can't control metal or anything like that" Peter knew it was wrong to down himself but he did. Peter didn't know why he got upset but he did and when Erik put his hand on his back, he was quite shocked really but accepted it. "I know but I am still sorry" Peter looked up at Erik with tears in his eyes. Erik Lehnsherr
