Rain poured over her face as she walked toward the man. It was dark and no one was about. Which suited her just fine--she needed the cover of darkness right now. She needed the sound of rain to mask her foot steps, and the darkness to cover her shadow. She was hunting someone who was used to only doing the the hunting.
Nina had been raised by the Hellfire Club. Their leader, Shaw, was dead now. He must have known that this could happen, because he hadn't let her go to int he sub where they were going to make their plan come true. The rest of the club had betrayed their leader, and gone with the man who killed him. Nina wasn't sure how that had happened, but she imagined they had told this Mangeto about her. If he knew she was coming, the fight would be harder.
She knew all about him. The first that Shaw had found. Shaw had tried to train him to be stronger, but he had resisted Shaw's help and escaped. Then had spend his life hunting him down. She also knew that Erik Lehnsherr was her biological father, and had abandoned her at birth. Shaw had stepped in and taken her in, raising her to be strong. Training her mentally and physically to one day be the one to stop Erik Lehnsherr from getting too close to Shaw. He had always said it was her one job, her purpose in the group.
Stopping a few dozen feet away from the man, Nina called out, "LEHNSHERR!" She waited for him to turn toward her before she spoke again, "Shaw sends his regards." With that her eyes tinted grey, and the loud flapping sound of hundreds of bats began, before the swarm surrounded this Magneto in attack.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION When Erik heard his name he froze and turned around. He didn't know the young woman before him but he knew of her. Emma had explained that one member of their faction remained loyal to Shaw and would undoubtedly come for him. When, where, how, had been undetermined. Yet all those questions were answered now. Magneto was alone -- perhaps the woman had planned it that way -- but never the less, he fully faced her, taking in the sight of her through the rain.
Shaw. How ironic. He killed Shaw because of what he did to his mother . . . now she would kill -- or try to kill -- him for killing Shaw. The cycle of revenge never seemed to end. But Shaw had started it. Magneto intended to finish it and preferably with convincing the woman to join their side. Erik didn't exactly want to kill mutants.
Before he could saw anything in response a hoard of bats started to come at him. Magneto instantly reacted, moving his hand forward to pull up one of the sewer covers and used it as a shield, before waving it like a frizbee to ward off the animals. Her power seemed to be associated as such as Magneto was intrigued. But considering she was trying to kill him, they would have to save that conversation -- one that may never be. He broke apart the metal, using one to force off the bats while hurling the other piece directly at her.

She hadn't expected the bats to do much, but it was the first wave. He broke off the metal and sent it hurdling at her, leaving Nina to dart to the side and roll on the ground to get out of the way of it. She pushed to her feet and her hands lifted from the ground slowly, summoning up the street rats from near by alleys and dumpsters. While the bats still attacked from the air, the rats came at him from the ground.
She had been raised and trained to fight him. All her life she was waiting for this moment. With Shaw dead, she had nothing left to do. This was all she had! She had to complete this mission or there was nothing left! "I expected more." She told him, knowing she was risking angering him and loosing the upperhand but . . .
He has her father. She knew that. He had left her behind in his effort to kill Shaw. Shaw had explained that he had once trained Erik, but then Erik grew to hate him for it. He hadn't wanted the baby, and her mother hadn't wanted a mutant. So Shaw had come to take her. Raise her to hone in her powers, and fight back against the man who wanted him dead. The man who killed him. Abandoned her. "But I didn't expect much!"
