Nina ran so hard that she could feel her body screaming at her! Metal and debris tossed mindlessly around everywhere. Everyone was running to get the professor, but she had one goal. Magneto. Nina ducked down as the fight to get to the professor happened over her head. The one with metal wings flew over her, and Nina's eyes changed colors for a moment before a large amount of birds began to land and pull on his wings. Not the small ones either, but the largest of the local birds.
Pushing up she ran toward the metal sphere that held him protected. She had to duck and roll once to keep her head on her shoulders, but then she pushed up and ran again! Nina had to reach him! She had to save him from himself! For her mother, for herself, and apparently the whole world!
Nina had known all her life who her father was, but after her mother died and she'd gone to find her father she hadn't been able to tell him the truth. Scared for his reaction. Scared at what other's said he was since it didn't match the man her mother knew. So instead, Nina had joined the school. Now, while everyone was trying to save their leader, she was trying to save her father.
Some metal knocked her off her climb up to him, and she grabbed a hold of the makeshift ground! Nina pulled herself up and began again. The closer she got the less debris that was flying everywhere. Once she was close enough she froze. What to say? What could she do to change the mind of the man she'd met only once before? "Please!" She yelled out trying to get his attention, "You don't want to do this!" Erik Lehnsherr

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik was entirely focused with the task at hand. The outlet of his rage. The unwavering cry of pain. He had lost his first family, and formed his own after . . . only to lose them too. He had tried. He had tried Charles' way and deep down, wished he was not constantly being proven right. He wished Charles had been correct. He wished Charles' way had worked. For, if it had . . . Erik would still have a wife and daughter. He would still have his family. But yet again, there was nothing left in this world for him and he would watch it crumble to the ground. With Apocalypse taking the final measures to secure his power, Magneto stood in the magnetic field of debris around him, creating a secure layer.
His eyes were closed, deep in concentration, feeling all the metal in this world even if he could not see it. He had pulled it from the Earth's core and felt as if he had all the power in his fingertips. It was an exhilarating feeling, and the only one left to reflect his pain and anger at society that had taken so much from him. He distantly heard a voice, opening his eyes to glance at her, disinterestedly. She was one of Charles' X-Men. Of course she would appeal to him. Of course she would plea with them. He expected such behaviour. And he did what he had always intended to. He ignored it. He closed his eyes again, focusing back on the matter at hand and hoping she would just go away and leave him in his pit of despair.

He looked at her, but then looked away. She wanted to get closer but couldn't! "Please! Look at me!" She begged, but kept knowing knowing there was a chance he wouldn't look at her. "You don't have to do this! You don't have to hurt anyone! This isn't what your family would have wanted!" She didn't know him. She didn't know him beyond the stories that her mother had told. This man didn't match the stories. Or maybe the stories didn't match the man.
Nina tried to get closer but there was this force field that blocked her. She needed to try to reach him though his heart, since she couldn't through his body. "Your mother was human!" She called out, her voice still the soft begging, and not an accusation. "Like my mother was! We owe it to them to be better then this! You can stop this now! I know you lost your family! I'm sorry! I lost my mother and I know the pain! But their are other families out there that you will destroy!" Nina watched him, trying to see if the words would have any affect. She had to stop him before he did the unimaginable! He was the key for them to turn this fight! Without him, and without Xavier then Apocalypse couldn't do his master plan. The others went for the professor, while Nina had to change his mind.
She wanted to tell him who she was, but she was afraid. How far gone was he? For her, he was her only family left--other then the ones she had begun building at the school. She wanted to know him, but hadn't had the chance to yet. She would try this before she used her mother to reach him. Yet if she used her mother's name and it had no affect, then she knew that it would break her heart.
