Personality
.:Personality:.
Wanda has a tendency to have a stubborn attitude and a strong will to go with it. She had to grow up tough because of the powers that she had been born with, and the fact that she had to go through it alone made it that much more of a struggle. This isn't to say that she doesn't have a sense of humor. It defintely has a tendency to peek out when she's feeling uncomfortable. Mostly her humor is sarcastic, and she doesn't care much for slap-stick type comedy. There are some people who have met Wanda that would have a few choice colorful words about her, but it's her way of not getting close. Not letting anyone in. It's safer for her that way, and everyone else, as well.
She's a survivor above all things. It doesn't matter what she has to do to get through life, and to help people in need whether they're humans or mutants. She has always been very much an adult, ever since the passing of her mother. She felt like she had to grow up very quickly, and sometimes she did some very unsavory things just to get through life. Still though, she managed not to turn out incredibly messed up in the head. She luckily managed to keep her head about her, no matter how much she had gone through.
.:Powers/Abilities:.
Wanda's magic stems from mystic energy and can be cast in two different forms.
The ability to throw red beams called Hex's that can shatter walls, and unlock safes. The weakness is on humans. When she throws a Hex at a human, it can slow them down to a point, but it can not harm them to a fatal point.
She also has the ability to alter reality. She can create illusions of other worlds, of people, scenerios that aren't happening, and even the ability to create armies out of thin air. The downfall of such a power, is that she was never trained by anyone skilled in Mystic Energy, so she never fully learned what she was capable of; neither was she ever taught how to completely control it.

.:History:.
Life had been tough for Wanda since the day she was born. Her mother, who was not a mutant, strived to keep up the illusion that Wanda was normal, just like everyone else. The thing that likely tipped everyone off, was the fact that she was never allowed to go out and play with the other kids. Her mom would tell everyone she had some sort of immunity deficiancy and kept her inside of the house for the first few influential years of her life. Anna Beth Mordrake had hoped that Wanda's abilities to bring toys in to exsistance that she never had, and the power to open locked doors and cabinets, were just a phase.. but unfortunately for Anna Beth, they were not. Once she realized that her child was a mutant for good as Wanda grew older, Anna Beth knew that she had two choices. To either live with her daughter's unnatural presence on the earth, or to put the poor child out of her misery.
There was nothing stronger than a mother's love for her child. Anna Beth had realized that shortly after Wanda turned ten. She couldn't kill her.. she couldn't bring hersel to do it, and so, behind a closed door that Anna Beth locked, forgetting that her sweet girl could open, she killed herself, instead. It was so she didn't have to watch her daughter grow to be mocked. This was a moment that would change Wanda's life forever.
Before her mother died, she left a note inside of Wanda's top dresser. She found it as she was about to be sent off to her first foster home. It mentioned the identity of her real father, and the possibility that he might be like her. Of course, Wanda wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to meet others who had her abilities..after all, it did drive her mother to kill herself. Still though, she kept that note as long as possible.
For too long, in her mind, she was in the system. Getting switched from house to house because she was some sort of freak of nature. When she was thirteen she finally ventured out on her own - meaning, she ran away - and decided that the only person in the world she could really rely on to the end was herself. She didn't do anything like waitressing or something innocent like that to get by. Instead, she did stranger jobs for people. Some needed detective work done, and others needed protection. She did anything she could to help those in need, and to survive on her own.
It wasn't until she was a little older that she decided to go find her father. She had enough money to travel, and enough skill to track him down. What would happen when she got there? Was still up in the air.
Sample Post
Wanda had been following a lead to find her father. Apparently Erik Lehnsherr didn't exsist much anymore. She wasn't stupid, so she didn't give up right away... instead, she started to search out other mutants and ask them questions. They weren't hard to find. Outcasts, degenerates, anyone who was getting kicked out of fancy resturants... some of them with fire shooting out of their pores. Luckily she met one fellow who was willing to talk. 'Magneto,' the mutant told her. 'His name is Magneto, and he is the leader of the Brotherhood.' The mutant never told her an alias. All she knew was that he was really furry and seemed to have an attitude problem. Nothing of her concern, though.
In her hand was a notebook that she used to keep track of all of the information she'd gotten from mutants along the way. The Brotherhood of Mutants and Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Children. Those are the factions she'd discovered so far. Well, at least it was a place to start.. or rather, a couple of places. She'd start with the Brotherhood since the furry man had told her that Erik Lehnsherr now went as Magneto and he was the leader of that particular group. It was worth a try. And without another pause, she was on her way out of the once crappy little hotel room - which she altered to the best of her ability to make livable - and she was off to find any link to her past that she possibly could have. Even if she knew there was a chance that she was making a mistake.
