Character Basics
.:Name of Character:. Chayse Vaughn, but he will often tell people different names. This may not even be his real name.
.:Species:. Mutant
.:Alias:. The Hunter
.:Year Born/Timeline:. First Class/Days of Future Past
.:Affiliation:. NeutralAppearance
.:Physical Appearance:. Chayse stands tall and has a muscular build. His skin has a natural tan to it, and he has dark brown hair. He wears neutral colors to help blend in rather than stand out. While his presence may seem dominating due to his large size, he is able to stay in the background if he wants to. His size displays his strength however he does not engage in frivolous fights with other people.
.:Height:. 6"4'
.:Portrayed by:. Jason MomoaPersonality
.:Personality:. Chayse is not your overly friendly type of person. He does not enjoy making friends or having ties with anyone. He has a morbid and sometimes crude sense of humor, finding amusement in other people's discomfort and sometimes pain. He lacks empathy and does not sympathize for other people. That is after all, how he gets his job done. He appears to be very anti social and will only do something when it benefits him, which usually involves monetary gain. He is however intelligent, resourceful, able to read people well, and combining these traits together enables him to be quite successful at his job. He tends to be rude, mouth off and provoke others, regardless of how inappropriate it is, and enjoys watching other people snap. He himself often remains unaffected by other people's words, and lacks any sort of conscience that would prevent him from carrying out his sometimes gruesome line of work.
.:Powers/Abilities:. Chayse's first power is mutant detection. He is able to sense, detect, and hunt down a mutant's abilities, aware of what it is by sensing it when in their presence or near them. He is usually able to determine the mutant's proximity, power(s), and level they are. He can only do this within a certain range and when there is a large gathering of mutants, it sometimes gets difficult to differentiate between their powers.
Chayse also has limited telekinesis, meaning he can move things with the power of his mind. He can not yet move extremely large objects. He is skilled with various kinds of weapons (firearms, daggers, etc) and never misses his target. Now whether that is because he uses his telekinesis has yet to be determined, as he will never reveal this. He uses creative means to capture his target, and does whatever best suits the situation.
History
.:Birthplace:. Unknown
.:Family:. Unknown
.:Occupation:. Bounty Hunter
.:Current Location of Residence:. Nomad
.:History:. Not much is known about Chayse's past and he prefers to keep it that way. He has been in his line of work ever since he was a teenager, and he has grown to be an expert in it. He has built a reputation as a Bounty Hunter, willing to track down either mutants or humans, it depends what he is getting paid for. His powers enable him to be very good at his job, though he will never reveal it to others. He does not see the point.
Chayse has no loyalty or ties to others. He remains elusive, being nothing more than a shadow in the world. He never goes by his real name, and is known by The Hunter. He sometimes keeps his face hidden from those who hire them, and tends to blend in when he is in a public setting. He has no hesitations capturing or killing others, so long as he gets paid for it.Sample Post
Alias: The Hunter Occupation: Bounty Hunter Abilities: Mutant Detection & Telekinesis
Chayse was sitting in the back of the bar, his eyes narrowed on his target, without being too obvious about it. It was far easier to blend in when the area was crowded, filled with drunken fools who's lowering inhibitions made his job easier. On the one hand, it was good because it meant he could do what he was hired quicker and move on to the next client. On the other hand, it was a little disappointing because Chayse always appreciated a good challenge. The thrill of the hunt was the most fun part... the capturing or killing, not so much. After having kept his eye on the target for exactly two hours and fifty three minutes, the man was finally stumbling his way out of the bar. He was leaving on his own, planning on hailing a cab no doubt. Shame. If there were others involved then Chayse charged extra for disposing of any witnesses. He waited a few moments before he rose from his own seat and nonchalantly followed the man outside. The man was still waving his hand and a non existent car in the distance, confusing the street lights with a cab. "Need a ride?" Chayse asked in a low voice, but one that held a tone of friendliness and slight concern. Obviously, it was feigned. The man turned to look at him, squinting his eyes as if struggling to remember him. "Do I know you?" He questioned, clearly confused. Well, apparently he wasn't that drunk after all. As Chayse stood in front of him, he could sense it quite strongly. Mutant. The power to control water. Something that his client was quite interested in. Chayse gave a slight smirk at the question, moving closer to the man but not in a menacing way... for the man did not move back. "No." And with that, in one quick motion, Chayse pulled out a dart filled gun from his pocket and shot the man at the chest, pressing the barrel right against his him so that it made no sense. Chayse had been given strict instructions to ensure the mutant was alive when brought to him. Besides, this wasn't the first time he had been hired by this man, or company. Trask Industries, he had come to know. For they were experimenting on mutants for a grand project. Chayse wasn't bothered to know the details. The man paid well though, so he was willing to take whatever clients he could get. Chayse then put the man's arm over his shoulder, turning behind him at the people exiting the bar and watching. He shook his head in a teasing manner and gave a slight shrug, as the people nodded and chuckled with understanding. For to anyone watching, Chayse merely looked like a concerned friend. Where as in reality, he was currently 'dragging' his target to the car, where he would then take him to a place where undeniable pain and torture would befall him. So long as Chayse was paid for his efforts, he did not care about the fate of this mutant. He did his job. That was all that mattered. |
