Oh this was wickedly wonderful. The power with each step was thrice what it was before she had learned of her father. Each time her heels made a click on the ground, each time her shoulders bounced with her step, each time her hair flowed back slightly from her movements the power radiated from her. This was who she was meant to be! A goddess among giants who fought the ants. Soon enough one would know! Soon she would have the attention of the world! First she had to find a way to make sure everyone knew who she was, because despite Magneto's words to wait, this wasn't something she planned to hold inside her for long.
So when she found Magneto's current lover working on some trite little job instead of honing her powers, Polaris decided to push and play a bit. Magda went by her human name. Pathetic. Just as the mutant was. Magda turned to look at her but just as quickly looked away. It made Polaris smile even brighter. "So I guess you do know," Good, it meant she could get to the point rather then try to make something slip. Magneto said they would tell no one, but when Polaris asked if anyone else knew, he had also admitted he told this one. That was displeasing, that he'd told another one first.
"It's all hush hush for now, but it wont be for long." Because of her, most likely, because she demanded that he not tell anyone. Maybe she didn't want to be a mother and thought that Polaris would expect it of her. Foolish old bat. Polaris was bred from greatness, not bitter hags who held onto their human parts instead of shedding the sheep's clothing to revile the wolf. "Soon though." She'd have it no other way. "He clearly wanted me to be apart of his life. He went out of his way and delayed working with the Brotherhood to find out if I was his! Surely that says he wants me here."
Magda turned to face her, finally, apparently she was getting onto something! Proof that it was this old bitch who was keeping her from her rightful place by Magnet's side! If she had wanted others to know then she would have not been so tight that she looked like a rubber-band about to snap. "I figured he was waiting because he didn't want to tell you, but clearly that wasn't it. Maybe it's pride. Maybe you don't want to share?" Slight lie, but she was trying to make a larger point. That she knew what was happening here, and the fuck she would stand for it! This was her bloodline and she would use it to amass the power that should be her's by birth! No stupid hippie was going to stand between her and her rightful place!
Polaris reached and fingered the wires that she was using human methods to work on. Pulling them out slightly she undid the work, enjoying the idea of making her do it over again, and knowing that someone as weak as Magda wouldn't fight back. No she'd run to Magneto, call him by his human name and make him tell her to stop. Stop she wouldn't. She'd make Magda's life hell until she went away and Polaris had her father to herself. The old woman looked away and Polaris clinched her fist around the wires, pulling on them harder. How dare she dismiss her! "If you are so bitter about me then maybe you should have given him a kid. Maybe he would have married you then?" Clearly it was what he wanted! He was pleased with her! Wanted her around!
Just then the pain shot in her hand, and up her arm, as the electricity filled her. The scent of burnt hair filled the room as Polaris screamed out! The bitch didn't stop at that either, but she could feel the power turning up! She tried to summon a shield but nothing worked, as everything in her body was locked tight! "Enough!" And it stopped! Polaris dropped to her knees and gasped in for breath, before falling even lower tot he cold floor. It hurt! Everything felt burned and sensitive and painful. Blinking toward the door she noticed the old bitch walking away, and she held out her hand, but lacked the strength to even create something to hit her with. Rolling to her back she laid there, trying to suck in air to her burning lungs and think of something besides the pulsing sharp pin needle like pain that was everywhere.
Then it went dark.

Things had been a little tense as of late. Polaris and Magda were not getting along. While they remained civil in his presence, he was no fool. He was fully aware that they were at unease with one another, though he had never felt the need to intervene. Not until today. He was casually passing by one of the rooms in the medical unit, when he had heard a scream. He'd rushed through the door to see Magda and Polaris, one electrocuting the other. "Enough!" He demanded. Things had gone too far now. It was one thing to give side glances and minimal disapproving words . . . but to physically harm the other, well, that was unacceptable. How could the Brotherhood function if there were those within it who were attacking one another. The simple answer: it could not. But this was more than just a mere disagreement. For Magneto knew it was because of him. It was by his actions and the emotional results of them from either woman. Still, he could not let it continue. It was time to intervene.
With Magda storming out, he had to check on Polaris first to make sure she was alright as she was the one who had been physically harmed. He did not doubt that she most likely said something to provoke Magda -- as Magda would not have attacked her at random like this -- but he would get to that soon enough. Seeing that she was unconscious, he lifted Polaris in his arms, carrying her to the examining board -- as it was rather convenient that they were in the medical unit. She was at least breathing and her pulse was in tact, so the main injury was the burn on her hand caused by the electrocution. Having to prevent an infection, and not needing to wait for anyone to assist, he quickly put some medicine on the burn and then proceeded to wrap a bandage around it. She remained unconscious, and Magneto would use this opportunity to speak to Magda. The small crowd that had gathered were watching curiously. "Monitor her," he told one of them as he made his way through the hall. It was time that this came to an end.
Magneto had just returned from a conversation with Magda regarding recent events. As expected, Polaris had provoked her and while he did not approve of Magda's reaction, he equally disapproved of Polaris' words. He had remained silent long enough. An incident like this should never happen again. He did not often need to play the mediator, and what made it all the more difficult was that it involved two women whom he cared deeply about -- both in completely different ways of course. Though he would never admit it, he did not like to see them at such odds. He had developed a strong affection for Polaris, and Magda . . . well, of course he cared for her a great deal, feeling the word that he never uttered to her, yet had felt for so many years. He would no longer tolerate this. He did not expect them to get along, but he expected them to remain civil, and his presence shouldn't be a determining factor of that. He could not always be there and they needed to learn how to coexist. Returning to the medical unit, he had come to check on her to see how she was recovering.
Prior to seeking out Magda, he had tended to her wound and bandaged the burn. Seeing her hurt caused emotions in him that he never expected. It was a kind of pain and worry, over seeing his daughter wounded. An intense desire to take away any pain she felt, and feeling helpless to do so. It was frightening to feel so, alarmed and pained over the mere sight of his wounded daughter. Perhaps this is what they called peternal instinct. "Polaris," he greeted, slightly moving his head to indicate to the mutant monitoring her that they could leave. Magneto used his powers to pull a chair toward him and sat near her. It appeared that she was fine, so he did not bother to waste any time. He was not one who beat around the bush. His eyes went to her hand, lifting it in his own and proceeding to gently unwrap the bandage to ensure there was no infection. "What occurred between the two of you is unacceptable." He used the same tone and the same word he had with Magda when starting the conversation of addressing what had happened.

When she woke up it was in pain and rage. The only thing worse then losing was fight was doing it before her father and because of his old bitch lover. Rolling she pushed up to stand, still feeling weak and the scent of burned hair and skin filled the room because it was her that smelled, not the air. A growl started in her chest and as it exploded from her mouth so did her shield explode from her body pushing everything away from her and into the wall. Even the little guard dog that was watching her.
Falling back onto the table she sat there, raging silently until a voice called her from her thoughts."Polaris," She looked up to notice the other leave, while her father moved to sit before her. She felt shame at having not been able to protect herself, and rage that she had underestimated her father's lover. It would not happen again. She would make sure that whatever happened next it would be to her favor, and his little gypsy would be the one to waken in pain, if she awakened at all! "What occurred between the two of you is unacceptable." She agreed! "It should have gone better!" She bit out, knowing that while he meant one thing, she meant another.
Right now they should be telling the world who she was, and in stead she was humiliated and not strong enough to stand without her knees shaken from the effort. "I shouldn't have underestimated her. It wont happen again."

Better? No. That was not what he had meant. She thought him to be giving her advice on how to retaliate or defend herself. When in actuality, he was telling her that there should never be another circumstance where she would have to do anything like that with or to Magda. "You should not have provoked her," he told her, clarifying what he meant by his words. "You should not have said what you did." Magda had informed him of what was exchanged between them. He did not condone either of their behavior. And he was going to put a stop to it. For the good of everyone. For this tension not only affected Polaris, Magda and himself, but also, the entirety of the Brotherhood. How could he lead an army when there was discourse and tension within it? Especially between two women he was so close to. "Whatever you feel for her, Polaris, you are not to speak to her that way again." He knew that Polaris was not fond of Magda, just as Magda was not fond of her.
But as previously established, there had to be civility between them. Who knew how much worse things could have gone had he not stepped in when he did."I except a degree of civility from both of you." He was saying his words in a continued tone of calmness and composure, but he meant what he said. It was not up for debate. He would not tolerate this. And yet . . . his phrasing of words had not exactly gone over well with Magda. He supposed he should be braced for a similar reaction from Polaris, only adapted to suit her own personality. If having this conversation one on one did not help, then perhaps he would eventually have to sit the three of them down together . . . though for the time being, he was avoiding doing that. Especially now, after what had just occurred.

"You should not have provoked her," He was taking that bitch's side? SHE WAS HIS DAUGHTER! She carried his blood in her and he wanted to take the side of some temperamental old hag? "You should not have said what you did." The hell was this? She was the best damn weapon in this place, and had it been anyone else he would not be sitting here talking to her like this but telling the other mutant they were crossing a line! Suddenly his little side toy got her feelings hurt and it was BAD POLARIS like she was a damn dog! "Whatever you feel for her, Polaris, you are not to speak to her that way again." Clearly! She was going to have to more careful with her toying. The little mouse was going to run to make the metal lion protect her! Weak old hag needed to learn to fighter her own fights!
"I except a degree of civility from both of you." "Civility?!" She snapped back, not sure if he was done, but she would not just sit here quite and take it any longer. "Do you smell that? That is the scent of burnt hair and skin! THAT IS NOT IN THE AIR! THAT IS ME!" This wasn't the same room as it happened it, so the scent was coming from her not from being left over in the air. "She tried to cook me like a turkey and I am being told to be civil? Had that been anyone else you wouldn't be sitting there telling me to go easy on them! But because she'd you what? "Special friend"? She gets special treatment?"
"She needs to man up, not run to hide behind your cape to hide from a fight. I wont be doing her any favors by going easy on her." And she didn't plan on going easy on anyone, much less someone who's only real power was the one between her knees. "The fact that you are in here asking this of mean shows how weak you think her to be. She weakens you too! 'Oh, call me Magda' That's a human name. 'Oh Erik' Your human name. She wants you human, and we are better then that, Magneto! We are strong then our forebears. She is hold you back, when I would push you forward."

Polaris was angry and that was to be expected. Neither her and Magda were rather pleased with one another -- or him for that matter. He had to do what he could to diffuse the situation though. He ignored her sarcasm, and focused on the words she spoke afterwards. "Had it been anyone else, you would not have said what you did to her to provoke such a reaction." He was trying to remain unbias, speak to both women on equal grounds. He did not like either of their behaviors, yet at the same time, both had strong personalities. He knew it wouldn't be as easy as telling them to be nice, and them just suddenly listening to him. "You are doing her, nor anyone else, any favors by speaking to her with such disrespect." As he had spoken with Magda, he spoke to Polaris now in the same tone of composure. He was not going to try to intensify the already tense mood. "Do not presume to understand her nor the nature of our relationship. You have not allowed the opportunity to get to know either." Which was her choice, and that was quite alright. He didn't expect Polaris to embrace Magda, just as Magda would not embrace Polaris.
"You are right, Polaris. We are stronger. But today, neither of you have displayed that strength." He conveniently ignored everything she had said regarding the names, for it was linked to his and Magda's past. And as he had pointed out, Polaris was unaware of the details of it. "How are we to show solidarity when you lash out against fellow mutants in the Brotherhood? How can we hope to show the world the power of mutants, when we can not even get along among each other?" His questions were rhetorical, but he knew that he had to try to explain to her the effect this was having on not just herself, him, or Magda . . . but on the entirety of the Brotherhood. "I do not think either of you as weak. But strength does not come from attacking another with harsh words." Which was what she had done today to Magda. "You belong here, Polaris. Of that I have no doubt. But I will not tolerate you seeking out others, in this case, Magda, and purposely speak and act i ways that will inevitably cause anger to arise within her." He would not stand for this. There was no other alternative since he did not want either of them to leave. But, he feared what the cost of this would be.
