.:History:. Wolverine’s history is a long and complicated one spanning over a hundred years. He discovered he was a mutant when he was a child. After being sick in bed, the man he believed to be his father was shot by his friend Victors father. Enraged, Logan rushed at him, bone claws appearing through his hands and impaled Victor’s father. It was only in that moment he realized he had killed the man who was his biological father, and disgusted his mother when she saw what he really was. Logan ran away to the woods, followed by Victor.
Over the course of the next few decades, Logan was a soldier in man wars. He was in the Civil War, World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War. During World War II he was captured briefly by the Japanese and transferred to POW camp. During the bombing Logan saved the life of a soldier named Ichiro Yashida.
During the Vietnam war, Logan ended up in front of a firing squad awaiting execution after standing by Victor against their squadron. Both men survived because of their mutations. William Stryker arrives comes to where they are held and asks them to join a special team, Team X. The team discovers the metal adamantium, and tracks it to a small village. When interrogation does not work, the Team is ordered to attack, Logan refuses and quits.
Logan moves back to Canada where he lies as a lumberjack and is dating a woman named Kayla who tells him a story about the moon and her partner “Wolverine”. Stryker tracks Logan down, years after he has left the team, asking him to rejoin. When he refuses, Logan finds Kayla attacked and killed by Victor. Stryker then offers Logan revenge, with an experimental procedure, Weapon X. Logan requests dogtags reading “Wolverine” on them, and agrees. As the adamantium binds to his skeleton, Stryker orders Logan’s memory to be erased, Logan runs from the facility.
Logan returns to the facility, to free the other mutants being experimented on, and also learns that Kayla is alive, and that her sister Emma is one of the mutants being held captive. Logan frees them and finds Deadpool, being controlled by Stryker, fighting and eventually beheading Deadpool. He then goes after Stryker, who shoots Logan in the head with an adamantium bullet. When he awakes, he has lost all memory up until this point.
For years Logan wanders from place to place, until he meets Marie/Rogue, the two are attacked by Sabretooth, who knocks out Logan. Logan and Marie are taken to the X-Mansion by Cyclops and Storm. He meets Dr. Jean Grey who is treating him, who he will eventually fall in love with. Initially Wolverine tries to run, but eventually learns that Xavier is trying to help fellow mutants control their abilities. Professor X convinces Wolverine to stay, where he becomes a part of the X-Men.
Sample Post
Logan took a drag on his cigar as he stared up at the gates of the X-Mansion. It had been 3 months since he had last been here. Having left on his motorcycle, seeking...well whatever it was he had been seeking he hadn't found it, he knew that for sure. But it had been months since he'd been here. It wasnt the first time that he had left for an extended period of time without warning or even a goodbye to anyone. And to be honest, it probably wasn't the last either. He knew they'd have every right to hate him, tell him to get lost. Hell, if he was in their position that's exactly what he'd say to a guy like him. But they weren't like him. They all had their place. They all seemed happy and content. Why couldn't he find that too?
Sighing Logan threw the cigar into a bush before heading inside, knowing Charles hated it when he smoked on school grounds. He carried a small duffel bag with his few possessions with him. He wondered briefly why he had even come back. He knew he wasn't here for too long. 6 months? Maybe a year? It wasn't like he was very impactful on the kids. He wasn't a very good influence with the liquor, swearing, and his temper. But here he was, back. And the only reason he could come up with, was that out of all the places in the world (and he had been to most of them), this was what felt the most like home. They accepted him, flaws and all.
Passing through the foyer, Wolverine poked his head into the Professors office, catching Charles' eye as he looked up. Logan knew he could read his mind if he wanted, but he also knew the Proffesor probably didnt have to. The two men gave each other a knowing nod, Charles never questioning Logan, before Wolverine headed upstairs, knowing his bedroom was still there, untouched, waiting for him, whenever he wanted it.
