There was two things Lorna didn't do. That she rather die then do. Apologize and cry. Both were humilating and she refused to anything that made her weak. Today . . .
Today she did both . . .
Her undoing had began months before, when her only friend (and the only person on the planet who seemed to openly enjoy being around her) had found out about her . . . other . . . powers. It had been the only time she'd said please since she was a kid. 'Please don't tell'. And he hadn't. She wasn't stupid. She knew that if anyone but Pryo learned of her other power the 'hate and fear' they hid would turn into the open hate and fear. Her personality already did that enough--knowing she could build a plague tailored to make them sick and die would make them kick her out. Which was what happened with Pryo.
Lorna sat by Pyro's bed side for days while waiting to find out if he would live for not. He had been her best--and well only--friend for almost 9 years now. Out of everyone on this planet, he was one of the last--and well only--people she didn't want to hurt on this planet. In fact there might only be two people. After what felt like years, but in truth had only been days, his fever broke and he started to come around. At that Lorna left his bed side, not able to look at her friend. Pyro knew about the powers, and was the only one on Earth who did. After he opened his eyes she apologized, "I'm so sorry," and left before he could tell her to F-off or try to set her on fire or something--or worse, tell her they were done.
She stubbled outside, her hands shaking. Fumbling over to the side of the makeshift building she fell against it. Feeling something cold on her cheek, she reached up and touched it. Tears. Pushing from the ground she began running. She wanted to hurt someone, to make her hurting stop. She wanted to tear someone's world apart so they hate for for that and not for almost killing her friend. She wanted . . . she wanted . . . She wanted to stop feeling.
As she moved, she saw Erik Lehnsherr walking between buildings. She was strong with her powers. She knew he would be one of the few here on the island that could stop her. She wanted to be stopped. Her eyes blurred, and she blinked back tears. She would not cry now! Her fingers turned green and she began staking the metal around her. He could stop her. She needed to be stopped.
He was her father.
She couldn't do it. She couldn't attack him. Dropping the metal she stood there. Knowing he saw her. Not knowing what to do now.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION There had been concern among the mutants of the sickness that infected Pyro would be a contagious one. But thus far, no one had seemed to contract it. It was strange indeed. That such a severe illness would come out of no where, nearly costing the mutant his life. Fortunately, he was on the path to recovery. This provided some reassurance and it was fortunate that they had the skills of a doctor among them and medical supplies . . . which they would need more of. That would be a run to the city that Magneto was already preparing for in preparation should someone else get sick.
As he was walking between the buildings, he quickly noticed the metal start to tremble and shake. He paused, turning his head to the side, before turning around and setting his gaze upon Lorna. He knew that her and Pyro were close, but his recovery should bring ease to her mind. No. Something else was wrong. Erik looked at her closely, even from the distance between them, able to notice her tear stained cheeks. It was not often he saw her like this.
While he knew he could stop the shaking of the metal, he did not use his powers. She needed to learn to control it. But seeing her, the emotional state she was in and the way her powers were being used to reflect it . . . well, she truly was her father's daughter. "Lorna," he said calmly, stoically. He took one step towards her, unafraid of her. "I can see you're upset." Recognizing her state as he took another step towards her. "And we can talk about this." An offer; an invitation. An unspoken promise and assurance, that held the meaning of I'm here for you.

Talk about it? Please. She was the crazy bitch that everyone already hated. Her secondary power was growing stronger, and she had nearly killed the only person on Earth that willingly picked her to be his friend. Pryo was a bat shit as she was sometimes and she knew this wouldn't go unanswered. If someone had nearly killed her she would want blood too. It was all she knew how to do. The only way to protect herself. Be the biggest dog in the fight, or you were in for a world of hurt.
"I don't need to talk." What good did talking do? It changed nothing. In her heighten state of panic and fear, and more emotions then she could handle--she was forgetting that talking to him did make things easier. Helped her move from reacting to things like a kid to handling herself better. Right now she only could think about hurting someone--or maybe letting them hurt her. "I need to be stopped." Before she hurt someone she lov--liked. Before she killed someone she didn't want to live without.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION She didn't want to talk. It didn't surprise him, but he also knew the importance of it. Yet, stubbornness seemed to be another quality they shared. The pain upon her face, and reflected in the shaking metal around them all too familiar to him. It had taken a telepath to initially calm him down enough to save him. But Erik was not going to do that to Lorna, or have Selene do that to her rather. It was not the way to reach her.
"Stopped from what?" He asked calmly, continuing to take another step towards her. He knew that soon enough, this would raise attention and others would join the scene. He was hoping to diffuse the situation before them. "From this?" He asked, motioning towards the shaking metal as he looked at it, before looking back at Lorna. "Is it me you wish to hurt?" He asked her, almost rhetorically. He saw so much of himself in her, which was why he knew that underlying source of pain. She knew he could stop her. "Or yourself?"

He kept coming closer, and his words kept getting under her skin. He asked if she was trying to hurt him, or herself. It was the truth so plainly spoken before her, and she hated the way it didn't make sense when he said it allowed. It had been so clear in her head. Now everything was muddy.
Magneto took another step toward her and she reached out her hand, using her powers to give the metal on his clothing a slight push to keep him back--though she knew that it was pointless. He was stronger, and she hadn't pushed very hard. Dropping the metal around her, she took a half step back. Turning from him Lorna looked around, for an exit or escape, before turning back to face him. He was so close now.
Lowering her voice, Lorna sounded defeated. "I want you to hurt me." She admitted, before holding out her hand and making the metal began circling them both. Maybe hurting her body would stop the hurting in her body. It would over power it, and she could move on from it. Her green eyes narrowed at her father, and green smoke like plasma danced around her fingers. She didn't want to fight him, or hurt him. She wanted him to attack first and end this.

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik didn't fight the pressure she used to move him back. It shifted him, but he was far from discouraged. If there was one thing he was, it was determined and well, perhaps Lorna was too. Which would make for a chaotic combination at this moment.
But he was not backing down. So when she told him that she wanted him to hurt her, showcasing her power as it moved around her hand, Erik remained unphased. He just looked at her, unyielding, unconvinced to lay a single hand on her -- or use his powers against her. "I will not," he told her in a quiet voice, though loud enough for her to hear. Should she do something, he would defend himself against it, but hurting her was completely out of the question. A thought that he would not entertain, nor did he sugar coat his response. He was blunt in where he stood, and it would be with her, not against her.

He would not? Lorna stood there breathing deeply, as she stared at him. He was refusing to fight her. To hurt her. Looking over at the weapons made of metal that she had circling them she knew she would have to make the first move. Force his hand. "I'll make you." She threatened.
Reaching up to wipe her face she moved a step closer and had the metal grow still as it slowly narrowed in toward him. "Stop me." She asked him again, needing to feel the anger, and hurt to help her escape the pain inside. Needing to be able to focus on anything but the crazy that was at war inside her. The pain to distract her from her pain.
Taking another step closer she held up her hands, knowing that if he didn't call her bluff soon, she would either have to do it . . . or admit she couldn't. She'd have to face herself and that would be worse. She needed to make him. "I put Pyro in that bed. I nearly killed him. So stop me! Before I do it to you."

Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Usually Magneto was either on the defense, or the one administering the attack. This time, it was neither. It was merely an attempt to help his daughter, who was clearly in so much pain. His eyes remained on her, though he was aware of the metal nearing towards him, though he made no move to stop it. If need be, he would, but right now, his focus was on her. She had already told him that she would make him, her demand to stop her somewhere between just that: a demand, and a plea.
He knew that being defiant may only further aggravate the situation, so he remained quiet. No so much as flinching. She then went on to say that she put Pyro in that bed, nearly killing him and would do the same to him . . . to stop her, before she did. She clearly blamed herself for what had happened to her friend, but Erik wished to know the whole story of how she had made someone sick, when the illness seemed to be of natural causes. Abnormal yes, but natural none the less. "How did you do that?" He asked, still stoic, still calm, trying to coax her to open up more so that he could get to the root of what caused this reaction from her.

Lorna ignored his words and let the metal grow closer to him. He didn't seem to care that she was a mini-second from attacking him! He didn't seem braced to stop her! He was just going to let her do it! It angered her that he didn't seem to care that she was about to force his hand! Would he even fight back? Would he even stop her?! Lorna let them grow closer, and closer. Until they almost touched him.
Before she knew she couldn't do it. She couldn't hurt him. He was all she had left. Stepping back Lorna let out a frustrated scream, and the metal few away from them--some lodging into the buildings around them, and she hoped none found a person. Though, nor did she look to see if they did. She was bend over, hands on her knees and breathing franticly.
Slowly she stood up to look at her father. He had asked her how. Her vison blurred and she blinked the wetness away--which only made it fall. After wiping away the traitorous wetness, she gluped down a deep breath. "Because I made him sick. I poisoned him." But that wasn't it. It was half truths and almost. "Because I can do more then control then control the metal around me."
"I did it too my step-Dad too. I made it too sick to come at me. If I get around someone that is sick, it's like my body remembers it. It can change it and make it worse. Then, I can give it back to others."
