Personality

.:Personality:. Daken first and foremost is a determined individual. He will do anything and anyone to achieve his goal and get what he wants. He has practically no remorse for his actions and a very limited sense of morality. He has no concern for others well being making him a selfish individual as he only looks out for himself. He can kill with no hesitation but only with purpose, and he is insensitive to the sufferings of others. In fact, he finds humour in morbid situations and often makes highly inappropriate jokes. He finds others discomfort and sorrow comical and entertaining to himself. These sort of personality traits is what makes him a rather feared individual in his political world, and he would prefer it that way.

He can be arrogant, cold, and gives off a very insensitive vibe for he appears to show limited emotions under any circumstances. He has no fear, not even in the face of death for dying to him, is something that he knows is inevitable. This lack of fear makes him reckless and irrational for he does not care about the consequences of his actions and displays a great deal of arrogance. His conversations with others are not always pleasant. He enjoys deception, a little too much, and likes to provoke people, as he is often not offended to affected by what others say to him. He can be patient, and does not have a temper, however he can be extremely unpredictable, making him a bit dangerous. He is more analytical than people assume. He is highly intelligent, extremely manipulative and deceptive, seductive and charismatic, and a good strategist, however, sometimes presents himself as the opposite, again, returning to his enjoyment of deceiving others.

.:Powers/Abilities:.

Pherokinesis [Pheromone Control]: Pheromone Control: Daken can use his pheromones to manipulate the emotional state and sensory perceptions of other beings, and uses this power to instil intense fear, happiness, depression, fascination, arousal, etc. It also allows him to instil a false sense of security (which allows him to appear out of nowhere in the eyes of the other person and allow him to have the element of surprise on his side as well as give the perception that he has abilities like teleportation or can move at superhuman speeds). His abilities allow him to distort or hinder an enemy's depth perception and visual acuity, causing them to fight sluggishly. ^[1]

Enhanced Senses: Daken has heightened senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch and scent. The latter in particular, works in conjunction to his ability to control pheromones as it allows him to "smell" how a person feels and expertly judge the emotional and physical state around him. He also uses his powers to mask his own scent from others who may have a similar ability as his own. His sense of smell also makes him skilled in tracking and hunting.

.:Weaknesses:. ]When not properly controlled, Daken's pheromones cause those around him to mirror his own mood which would be counterproductive when using his powers as he would not be able to hinder his opponent. His powers also work in terms of proximity, so if the person is not close enough, his abilities will not take effect. Furthermore, when he or they are out of sight, his powers wear off as he is unable to hold them. His abilities are also in relation to his own physical condition. For instance: when under the influence of drugs or any substance that can lower his inhibitions, he is not able to exert proper control or strength of his powers and can result in his own weakened state.

.:History:. Daken has no memory of his birth mother. He was given to a wealthy young and traditional Japanese couple. They saw it as an answer to their prayers for they had been trying to have a child for many years to no avail. The boy was named Akihiro by his father, however was referred to as Daken (a slur which means bastard dog or mongrel) by the servants and other children in the village due to his mixed heritage. It was the first piece of information that Daken had about his real parents: that one of them was not of Japanese origin. As the years went on, the teasing became more severe and it was the start of what would cause Akihiro to become cold and insensitive, just as the other children in the village were insensitive to him. He became cold to everyone else, with the exception of his father.

One particular night, Natsumi admitted to her husband that she did not love their adopted son, and that she was pregnant after many, many years of trying to conceive. Akihiro overheard this conversation and was incredibly upset to learn that his mother did not care for him. In attempt to resolve the issue, his father decided to send him away to a martial arts training academy where he would reside and learn combat but most importantly, it would create some distance between Daken and Natsumi. Daken was incredibly upset to learn of this and the day he left, was the first manifestation of his powers. His anger -- unbeknown to him -- transferred onto Natsumi and in the height of it, she disowned Akihiro, saying that he was not their son and she never wanted to see him again.

For the next several years, Daken trained at the academy. He became an expert martial artist, trained in hand to hand combat, skilled in acrobatics, and trained in the use of various weapons (i.e swords, knives, bows and arrows). It was also here that he learned more of his powers, able to use them against opponents which allowed him to swiftly master the stages until he reached an expert rank. When completing the training, he returned home, having assumed that his mother's words had just been stated in anger and that they had not been a true reflection of her feelings towards him. Unfortunately, when reunited with his father, Akihira stated that the words held, and that he was no longer their son. Daken swore revenge on the family, before parting ways and going down his own path.

A path that would be a rather dark one as it brought him into the life of organized crime. Due to his mutant powers, he ascended the ranks rather quickly, gaining a name in the criminal world as he used whatever methods of manipulation and deception he could to achieve his goal. His faction was called The Red Right Hand and became the most notorious and infamous criminal organization in Japan. Daken had no intention of stopping there. He is in the works of expanding his empire to other countries, particularly with the drug trade. He has developed his own substance, called: Heat. As he delves into other countries, he intends to take over other cities Underground criminal world by introducing the drug and reaping the benefits of it.

Staying true to his words of seeking revenge, he paid a visit to his once family. The thought of killing them was far from his mind for when one was dead, they could not suffer. So instead, he decided to make them feel the emotional loss he had felt when he'd been disowned. With Junichiro a bit older -- and not recognizing Daken -- he used his mutant powers to turn him against his parents, having him claim to Akihira and Natsumi that he truly hated them, that he was leaving for good and that they were dead to him. The two were devastated, practically begging him not to and Daken was there to witness the sight. They cursed Daken, while he recruited Junichiro to his faction . . . his fate known only to Daken.
