The legend of the discovery of 'le Diable Blanc' has passed through generations via oral retelling, so no official date is set for when Remy was born. Members of the Thieves' Guild discover an abandoned red-eyed baby in hospital. The baby, who is only a matter of weeks old, is taken in by a minor family of the Guild.

The child "Remy" lives as an orphan on the streets of New Orleans, learning to fend for himself and steal what he could to survive.
May 1971
Aged around 10-12 years old, the Cajun boy is adopted by the LeBeau family after being caught stealing. The child Remy learns the art of thievery and is trained in acrobatic fighting styles. He also learns how to play card games, developing an aptitude for poker.
June 1975
Remy, now in his mid-teens and well into puberty, discovers his latent mutant abilities. He first uses a charged card to oppose an adversary. He also struggles at times to control his strange mutant abilities.
December 1977
In what was partly an arranged marriage between the two great Guilds, the teenage Remy marries Bella Donna.
January 1977
Banished from New Orleans by the Thieves' Guild after killing Bella Donna's brother, the now-divorced Remy sets out alone to adventure the world, utilising and harnessing both his mutant abilities and his skills as a thief. Remy gets into a few scrapes whilst adventuring...

Remy is kidnapped by William Stryker and taken to The Island. He is locked up with many other mutants, but after several escape attempts Remy is confined to solitary imprisonment.
September 1977 - January 1979
Remy is experimented on several times, but finally escapes after almost two years held captive. He heads back to the southern states where he tries to get himself together again, maintaining a low profile and keeping himself to himself. Mostly.
