Aurelia was desperate. She was frantic and worried more than she could possibly express. Her mother was taken! And there was nothing she could do. She knew not where they had taken her, or even who had taken her for that matter. All she knew was that her mother was not well, and she was old, and whatever they were doing to her... Aurelia was trying to stay positive. Though that fear of the camps resurfaced in her mind. She had heard why she was taken and that made her all the more panicked. It was not because she was a gypsy. It was because of something far more. Something that Aurelia did not quite understand. She had spent the last several hours in the city trying to find others who possessed impossible talents. She had forever denied what she could do, but she could no longer ignore it. For her mother was taken because of her. In these hours spend frantically in the city, Aurelia had learned of a place where people dwell. Certain people. A rare kind of people apparently. She didn't care if it was unsafe or some sort of trickery. She needed help from anyone at this point!
She made her way to the large seemingly abandoned looking building. It was a shelter of sorts of these kind, a safehouse in a way. It didn't look glamorous or even necessarily promising, but she had to at least try. It was the only lead she had; the only hope she had to save her mother. She quickly stepped inside, her eyes searching over the people there to see if there was someone in charge whom she could ask. She was clad in her gypsy clothing, as she had just been heading back to her camp, and her eyes were read and cheeks stained with tears. She felt numb, unable to do anything or move further than she already had. Seeing a woman who appeared to be offering food to another, she hurried toward her. "Please! I need help. I need to know if there is someone here who can help me." She didn't know how to ask, or even how to explain that she was one of them. She was not a mutant right now; she was a desperate daughter trying to help her kidnapped mother. That took precedence over all other identities she may have.

Times were hard, and only looking harder. The children were learning what they were, and having no safe place to turn to where hitting the streets. Gabriel did not wish to be responsible for so many but until a place could be found then he and a few others were helping make sure the teenagers had food, and a warm place to keep their heads low. He was talking to a small group of boys, enjoying some down time when he heard the voice ask, "Please! I need help. I need to know if there is someone here who can help me."
Turning to look he recognized her. "Aurelia," He said softly, surprised at seeing her. Pleased too if he was honest, but not at her words, only at the sight of her; her words made his guard go up. Pushing from the ground Gabriel walked up behind her and touched her arm right as the woman was trying to calm Aurelia. "Aurelia?" Once she could see it was him, he pulled her gentle toward himself and wrapped his arms around her. They had been friends once, so he hoped she'd take this comfort from him. "You're safe now." He told her in a calm soothing voice while trying to figure out if someone was after her? He looked over her head but so no one. "I will help you."

Aurelia heard her name and a hand touch her arm, she turned around to see a very familiar face, and she could not have hoped to see anyone better than he. He pulled her toward him and while she wasn't one to usually allow her to be touched by a man in such a manner, it was different with him. They were friends, and being in his embrace right now was such an overwhelming comfort, that she let her hands wrap around him in return. His taller form and soothing words gave her some peace. She tightly squeezed her eyes shut, allowing a few tears to fall from them, as she found solace in his assurances. But also knew that it was not her own safety that was compromised right now.
Yet he said he would help her, and she completely believed him. Her eyes opened and she broke from the hug but did not step too far away from him. Sniffing, she wiped away a tear from her cheek. "They took my mother," she revealed. "I don't know where or even who they are but they have her!" And... she needed her mother back. She needed her to be safe. And she felt that if anyone could help her, if anyone had the hope of getting to her, it was him. Not only because of his power, but because of his nature and selflessness. "It has been hours and I don't know where to go to find her." Nor was she capable of finding her or getting her out on her own. She needed someone else; she needed him.

just tell him you're going and he will let you!
"They took my mother," Gabriel recalled how close Aurelia was to her mother, so he knew this was devastating for her. He also knew he had to act quickly before anything happened to the old woman. While she might not be a mutant, they might assume she was lying about things and try to either interrogate her or harm her anyway. Aurelia had pulled away but he kept one hand on her elbow to make sure she was steady, before letting her go.
"It has been hours and I don't know where to go to find her." Her mother was frail, so he knew she'd have to be taken from the camp, and that the camp would be somewhere outside of town. Gabriel looked at the his current partner (the woman who helped him with the kids here, a friend, nothing more) and he spoke to her, "I am going to go find her mother, and see if anyone else like use was taken. We are going to need and blankets in case I bring back more then one." Because it was not the first time they'd come across someone wanted to do test or to understand mutants by taking them apart. "One for her as well, please." Because he wasn't taking Aurelia with him.
Then he looked at Aurelia. "I will find your mother, and make sure she is returned to you as safely as I can. Tell me where the camp is at." He asked, knowing he had to start there and he needed to be quick. With luck he could get there quickly.
