...because you missed them. As if Erik's lips was the oxygen Raven needed, she kissed him deeply, passionately, and, for someone who had been in a coma, quite firmly. Some of the credit went to Erik though, for he was the one who had placed the kiss upon her forehead. ...Which had caused her to stir and react by finding his lips. And from there, old habits kicked in. After who knows how long she had been out, she was still so weak and tried- her body craving more rest in order to recover. So even though she had been awake for a few days, she was still not cleared to leave the sickbay. [As if she could, the woman couldn't even sit up on her own!] It was far from boring though, for when she had been awake, she never found herself alone. There was Hank who had focused on her health. And Erik, who nearly reopened her wounds when he saw those yellow eyes of hers being open once again. And now? Here he was, alone for once, no doctor McCoy around to scold them both. "Are you crying again?" Raven lightly teased, her voice almost sounding normal despite the wooziness of the medicine. ..And maybe, some of that had been due to the kiss itself. // Erik Lehnsherr

Tag: Mystique Note: Better layout coming soon! Peace WAS NEVER AN OPTION Erik still remembered all too well the emotions that consumed him when he was told Raven had been killed. Years of peace often went so quickly undone in the wake of his anger and need to bring the person responsible to justice. In this case, it had been Jean. But as always, things shifted, and he wound up helping the others because apparently, Jean was not Jean. She was dangerous, but she seemed to have saved them all. Her sacrifice was not done in vain or without acknowledgement. Magneto had only a few scrapes and bruises, Selene and Ariki had required a bit more time to recover . . . but it was not what had kept Erik at the school rather than returning to Genosha right away.
It was Mystique. She was alive, and Erik waited until she awoke because . . . he knew she would. She was a survivor, a fighter, one of the strongest mutants he knew. She could beat this as well, and she had. When she was strong enough for company, he was among one of the first there. A tender kiss on the forehead had led to so much more. He was a man of action, and one that acted on emotion. That was what had led to the embrace, which turned into something far more passionate as she met his lips. He of course did not discourage the advance. In fact, he embraced it, completely. His hand gently went on her cheek as he felt the familiarity of the warm sensation of his lips, fill him completely.
Touch his heart, because he knew he did love her. And having heard he'd nearly lost her . . . was devastating. He could not lose another loved done. When he pulled back, slowly opening his eyes, his hand remained on her cheek, thumb gently caressing it. He smile a little at her remark, asking if he was crying. His eyes had indeed moistened but for good reason. He hadn't kissed her in years, and the relief of seeing her -- among so many other things -- made everything come racing back. "There is no such thing as too many tears being shed for you," he told her truthfully. She was so incredibly special and every tear he'd cried for her, was with good reason.
