Get in, save the mutants, burn the place down. A simple mission, really. At least, once you broke it down in that way. However, the shapeshifter was benched from going on and helping in this mission. It was important though, one with many lives on the line. So much so that Erik had actually picked up the slack and went himself. Raven didn't know at first, too busy trying to talk her brother into letting her do something! Just because she had gotten shot in the shoulder did not mean she was suddenly helpless. She could still pull her own weight and then some! There was no need for her to waste her time and let mutants die. She could be out there. She had to be doing something! Before Raven could go insane by being trapped inside all the time, a new mission was given to her. May it be given to her due to how she was moping, or just by chance that she was the one most trusted to do this. It was hard to tell, it could easily be both. But even with the fact that she was currently meant to be recovering, Charles himself mentioned it and gave his sister a chance. An opening to go out there. To not spend all day fiddling her thumbs! It was relatively easy when things came down to it. The mission had a lot less risk, and it just happened to be one that Charles was confident his sister wouldn't get into more trouble on. Well, on purpose, anyways. Keeping her injured arm close to her side, the mutant stepped inside the little teashop. It was quite sweet, being in such a place like this! The smell was homely, the company pleasant. Was this why Charles didn't think twice about giving her this task? This woman did not seem like the type who would prompt violence out of others. Something was calming about her, something that made the shapeshifter understand why Erik would even ask for help in the first place. "I heard you did palm readings," She spoke, stepping on over to where Magda sat. Currently, the shapeshifter looked, and sounded, like a local. At least, a local that lived within easy travelling distance. Raven didn't bother to make herself look like she was from this very town, but one nearby? That was a safer bet. One which she was using now as she mapped out every little detail of the building in her mind. Escape routes were flagged, items that could be used as weapons were marked down. No one would break in and get the upper hand on them. // Magda Eisenhardt

Blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'5"- not at all intimidating, and, as an added benefit for the shapeshifter... It was quite similar to the form she tended to favour. It was, after all, the face the mutant had used to grow up as Charles's sister. A normal girl who came from a well off family, despite the fact the parents were distant. However, that worked out for the better. Even with just a slightly annoying older brother. May the annoyance be in his overprotectiveness or not.
As for now, the girl she had been waiting for took note of who was waiting. This young mutant was the main reason she was here. Sure Raven often found herself in strange places mutants found an escape from humans in, but this group of strays? Not typically her cup of tea. More often than not, she worked the tougher jobs. The ones where the shapeshifter had to break a mutant out or something of that sort. Popping in to speak to some kids about joining the Brotherhood? That was completely different. But not something she wouldn't do.
"Kate," The lie slipped from her lips as if it was nothing, the blonde stepping into the light to show a hand. The shapeshifter had given herself webbing between her fingers, revealing the truth that she was also a mutant, but hiding her real skill. "I heard you were one of us,"

Tsking the man, Raven sat back in the chair as she tugged her cup back towards herself. Yeah, not drinking it was failing. Plus, it was just one sip left! It wouldn't make a difference if she did or didn't. "Erik, I might copy faces, but I don't copy names. Made by mutants, for mutants."
"Yes," Raven replied without hesitation, but it was obviously still a playful answer instead of a serious one. After all, she nearly laughed right away after the word left her mouth! The shapeshifter knew how lucky she really was. Sure, a few times she just hated it and couldn't imagine how things could ever be worst, but that wasn't the case now. She was no longer as naive as she once was. Not only did she lay wittiness to life's cruelty, but she was also reminded of her own. Before Charles. Before getting her very own annoying older brother.
"If he doesn't burn the evidence, I'm sure you can get a peek into his past. I'm afraid I'm harder to spot in some of those photos, so you better not go looking there for me." Teasing the man before her, Raven just went ahead to finish her glass and hold it out for a refill. She would have done it herself, but he was closer to the bottle. Plus, he was offering!
"Bad memories... I'm afraid you won this round," The glass was bought back to her lips, and this time, Raven just used the silence to take a sip. A little sip, tasting the flavour on her own lips.
"Do you want to talk about it?" May it be talking about his own nightmares, or listening to hers. It was best to double-check in these kinds of things. Not to mention that it helped shift the attention off of her.

"Who to say you aren't a terrible kid's toy?" ...Was she already drunk? Her flitter seemed to be broken, for she was just sitting here teasing Erik like he was some childhood friend! [At least, this was how she imagined it would be like if she had a friend from one's childhood. The closest she had was Charles, but he was CHARLES! Her brother! He didn't count.] Setting her almost emptied glass down, Raven turned her body towards Erik. She wasn't going to go and get some water for herself; it was too much work! So, the shapeshifter just decided to try and let her body fight off whatever tipsiness she was currently feeling. Hopefully, it would pass, and she wouldn't end up too loose-lipped around the current leader of the Brotherhood. It was one thing to pick on the head of the group when you were family, but when it came to Erik? Not so much. She already embarrassed herself bad enough the night she decided to join him in bed- "Brothers are a bother. You're lucky you didn't see him in his teenage years, let alone deal with him!" And a shame Charles was the one with all the photo albums and yearbooks.. There was some good stuff in there! All perfect for a younger sister to use and blackmail their older sibling with. "Fine. It was bad dreams," Raven gestured to Erik, allowing him a turn to go on. "Your turn," // Erik Lehnsherr

KURT WAGNER // NIGHTCRAWLER I would ADORE having a Kurt around, I have so many ideas and thoughts! Starting with Kurt actually getting to know who his mother is. I won't ramble and give any spoilers, but I will say the films did not do Kurt and Raven justice.
ANNE-MARIE // ROGUEAlthough I'm going more off the comics and other medias for this, I am open to anything! I just love how protective Raven is to Rogue, how she is one of the few people in the world who get to see her soft side. IRENE ALDER // DESTINYCartoons, comics, I am not picky- I would much love having Raven's wife partner around. She is always such an important person for Raven to have in her life, despite the fact there was none of her in any of the films. AZAZELA lot can be said for Azazel, and a lot can be done. I know there is a lot of theories to how his relationship with Raven went, and how he became the father to Nightcrawler. I have a lot of ideas of my own, and a lot of different AU's and ideas to write! I'm more than open to go in any direction, although I would like to keep the canon root that he is Kurt's father. HANK MCCOY // BEAST The two relationship had been quite rocky, but there have still been calm moments between them. I am completely open to diving into these two relationship, may it be from being merely friends or being at peace with one another. JEAN GREY Although Dark Phoenix has it's flaws, I still quite enjoy the bond Raven and Jean clearly had with one another.
There's an app already for Charles, but I want to add him to this list as well. He's Raven's foster brother, one of the most important people in her life! Even if he happens to be a headache at times. [To be fair, she gives him his fair share of headaches as well]

As the shock of the alcohol faded from her system, Raven relaxed as she let the warmth spread throughout her being. It was actually pretty good! She had no idea what she was even drinking, but she trusted Erik enough not to poison her. ...Could she even be poisoned? The way Hank talked about her cells.. and with her own history of how fast her body fought off colds, would it even hold? Colds were always a pain, but it felt like it took FOREVER for Charles to recover next to her only day's worth of complaints. Sipping at the drink again, Raven took more time in savouring the flavour. She allowed it to rest in her mouth for a few moments before she swallowed. Once it was down, she went on with talking, the teasing smirk back on her face.
"You know, we can always pronounce your name the other way. We don't NEED to say Mag-NEAT-o. Just MAGNET-o!" Poor Erik- with no Charles to pick on, he was going to get the brunt of the shapeshifter's remarks! Although he did manage to get even footing. His own answer to her question quieted her down more than immediately.
At least, for two more sips and a refill of her glass.
"You try growing up with Charles. I can't remember a single time he would let me order my own drink at a bar." He had been a tad overprotective, not to mention a worrywart. No matter if they were staying home or not, he always tended to make sure his sister didn't get tipsy and reveal to the whole world what she was. A mutant. A freak.
Another drink.
"Are you going to share what caused you to wake up and open a whole bottle?"

"Up at this hour and drinking?" Raising a brow, the shapeshifter turned to face Erik. "My, what would the others think if they hear this? The mighty Magneto.." Despite the light teasing-a habit that Raven picked up from living with Charles-the woman bought her glass over to the table and went ahead and filled it. She didn't really care what kind of alcohol this even was; it didn't smell as strong as the Russian stuff Azazel tended to bring back.. which, was good. Her cells might be able to fight off the drunkness of most liquors, but that stuff? That was something even SHE couldn't stay sober with for long!
Setting the bottle down in front of the man, Raven didn't hesitate as she took a big swig from the glass. It only happened once or twice with her, but getting drunk was one way to pass out, right? Charles always scolded her to no end when she got even a tiny bit tipsy, so she couldn't say for sure. Right now, though? Nothing was holding her back. Tomorrow plan was just going over some recon, no physical work. She could suffer with a hangover without risking anyone else's lives.
Taking a seat near by Erik, Raven couldn't help but make a face as the familiar feeling of alcohol burnt as it traveled down her throat. She should have just taken a small sip to test it out, not drink half of the cup! Thank goodness Erik didn't have all the lights on, hopefully he didn't seem the expression she made.

For a shapeshifter who was often quick to adapt, it was taking Raven quite a bit longer than usual to get used to the change of scenery. Or, well, it was more so the company than the surroundings, actually. For so long, Raven had grown up with only Charles for company. Sure, the group of people she was with now had their own telepath.. but, it wasn't the same. Who would she go to when she couldn't sleep? When she was restless at night, when her own thoughts got too much? What would she do then? Wait in her room like some scared child, praying that time would move faster and that morning would come? Knowing that she couldn't just sit in bed and remain in her own worry, Raven just got up. She tugged on one of the shirts that happened to be in the closet of the room she had called dibs on. It was quite fancy, quite big on her, but comfortable enough that she didn't need to shapeshift. With it on and no longer naked, Raven headed on out of the room. She did not expect anyone else up at this hour, so she was more than taken by surprise when she realized the figure in the kitchen belonged to someone. Not just a someone, though. An Erik. "The same can be said to you," Raven spoke, not sparing Erik a second glance as she went ahead to grab a cup. Might as well get something to drink while she was up, maybe a warm glass of milk? That helped when she was young.. "What are you doing up?" /Erik Lehnsherr

Character Basics
.:Name of Character:. Raven Darkhölme .:Species:. Mutant .:Alias:. Mystique .:Affiliation:. Brotherhood / X-Men
Appearance
.:Physical Appearance:. As a shapeshifter, her appearance can be anything she so wishes it to be. In her natural form though she is covered from head to toe in blue skin and scales over quite a lot of her body. She doesn't have any body hair beside for her head, which is red and often styled in a manner for it to stay out of her eyes. She is quite physically fit, body more than well toned and strong to take up any challenge. Her eyes are a striking yellow, which she often use to give herself away to allies. .:Height:. 5'7 .:Portrayed by:. Jennifer Lawrence
Personality
.:Personality:. Stubborn, aggressive and cunning. More often than not she is guarded, but still open enough to work with others with little hesitance if it gets her closer to her goals. Everything about her is careful out of habit, even if she seems overly confident at times. She had good reason to be. She's one of the best there is at her line of work, and only when she fails does she get any of the credit. .:Powers/Abilities:. Shape-shifting, decelerated aging, healing factor .:Weaknesses:. Limitations to her shapeshifting; scent, memories, personalities, along with some forms taking more focus and energy than another might. Out of the other mutants with healing factors, hers tend to be on the lower end of the scale. Her wounds still take time, even months, to heal if hurt bad enough.
History
.:Birthplace:. Unknown. .:Family:. Was raised with Charles, the man is like an older brother to her. When she was still getting her footing in the world, she had a son which she believes to be dead. .:Occupation:. Unknown, most likely somewhere fighting for mutants. .:Current Location of Residence:. Unknown. .:History:. May it be luck running out, or a new branch of luck itself, Raven got caught one night when looking for food. She had figured the house was empty, and even when a boy showed up, Raven had been confident to trick him in order to get out. That was not the case, and oddly enough, the boy she was once robbing took her under his wing. Growing up with Charles was not the best childhood one could ask for, being forced to hide who she really was- even behind closed doors. However, it was better than what caused her to be out on her own at barely ten years of age, and it was hard to disagree with a telepath. Raven made due, often unknowingly improving her own skill to spite her foster brother one way or another. Charles's studies took him over to go to school at Oxford. There she managed to get a job and stay close to the little family she had found. Thankfully she did, for soon enough Charles's work pulled him into the spotlight, and in tow were other mutants. Friends, family, lovers.
With the defeat of Shaw, Raven knew she could no longer stay at her brother's side. There was an opportunity with Erik, the man who taught her that maybe, just maybe, her natural form wasn't so bad. Plus, what else could she do with Charles? There was a whole world out there, one where she could actively be out in the field and help fellow mutants. She wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she didn't take the chance to get out of her cage.
The Brotherhood lasted a few years. Mutants were quickly being hunted down, including the members of their little family. They each fell, one after another, including Erik who thankfully, only managed to get captured. In the midst of all that, Raven had another problem on her plate. She found herself pregnant with no desires to get rid of the child. But she did. Not by choice, but she did. The birth of her son caused them both to be labelled as demons, and quickly chased down in order to be killed. Weak from giving birth, Raven could only hide her newborn near a waterfall before luring the townsfolk away. When she returned later on, she found her child missing, and ever since she came to terms with him having been found and murdered.
With revenge on her mind, she set off to finally take care of the head of her problems. The man who, in the first place, sent these people to kill her friends and family. Trask.
Once again, things did not go as planned. She met with her brother again, got shot at by Erik, and ended up saving the president's life. The shapeshifter was labelled a hero, someone for all mutants to look up to. Yet she disappeared, returning to work on her own to help save her mutant brothers and sisters.
