Wanda took a sip of her wine, tipping the glass in her hand to watch the liquid, she could 'see' the tiny flaw in the glass that if pressed would shatter it, Wanda shook her head, after the events in San Fransisco she had cut her ties with her father, Charles's death only compounded her disgust over Eriks actions. Her head didnt move as she noticed the woman moving through the crowd towards her, the Spanish restaurant had seated her in a corner of the courtyard the soft summer breeze filling the air, she knew damn well it was no coincidence that Raven would come here. She had not talked to the other woman in years really not since she had repudiated the Brotherhoods methods. "What brings you to D.C Raven?" she used the womans real name intentionally to insult her.

It wasn't hard to figure out that Wanda was trying to insult Raven. It wouldn't work. Right now, that's exactly who she was.. Raven. No longer Mystique. She couldn't hide behind that name right now. Still though, she spared the girl a knowing grin, making sure she was aware of the jab that Wanda tried throwing at her. "You know very well what i'm doing here, Wanda." she mused as she traced her index finger along the rim of the tea cup. "I want to find out who can reverse this...cure." She said the term loosely.
Raven was bitter at the world. Magneto turned his back to her. Charles was dead. Her heart was shattered, and it might as well have been black. "Tell me, Wanda. Why are -you- beating around the bush when you have all of the information I need? I don't recall ever doing anything to upset you, so why are you turning on me as well, hm?"

Wanda's mouth tightened, showing her age in the fine lines around her lips. "You, Mystique." She hissed the name, "You enabled him, made my father worse. I always thought in the end he and Charles would have found a peace, instead one is dead and the other wishes he was so." she pointed and accusing finger at Raven "You could have helped heal them! You were the only one that had a chance." No matter how much Wanda had loved both men. Raven had always ment so much more to both of them, and over the decades that knowledge was bitter ashes in her mouth. That her father loved the blue girl more then his own daughter, cared about her welfare more. "Im done with the fight." she said taking a sip of her wine. "Let me grieve in peace."

Ah. So she was being blamed for the whole thing with Magneto and Charles. Wonderful. Raven's eyes narrowed, and she tried not letting the venom that was building up spew forth from her lips. "I love Charles Xavier deeper than you would ever know, Wanda. And I love your father just as deeply. The day I heard that Charles died, I died with him.. If I could have done anything to stop them from fighting, to stop all of this. To make them live in peace... I would have." She gripped a napkin that was sitting on the table beside the saucer of her tea cup.
"I am truly sorry that your daddy issues are still at the surface after all of these years leaving you bitter, but if you want to have any chance of making anything okay again, I suggest you help me find the antidote. At the risk of this conversation being even more childish.. I know something you don't know...and it involves my brother, and the fact that he's not as dead as everyone thinks he is. Which is why my heart is slightly more intact. I need the cure, so I can get in to the facility he's being held. To prove that he's really alive."

Wanda's hand tensed on the stem of her glass, when Raven said Charles was still alive. She had fallen for Charles as a young girl and had never gotten over that. The years of watching him and Erik fight had ripped her soul apart, she never understood how Raven could choose between them, helping Erik. For her part she had spent the years bouncing between the two, having to use her own judgment in who to help when. "Charles is alive?" she watched Ravens face closely with out her mutation it should be far easier to tell if she was lieing. "I know you would say anything to get your powers back. You and my father always put more store in the damned abilities more then the people that wielded them." She spit the venom at the woman who would now age as she had.
Even with her mutation skewing things for her, she was still showing her true age, and Raven never had. Another point against her for Wanda.

Raven laughed coldly. "You're right. You're very right, I would say anything to get my powers back. But Charles is for all intents and purposes, my brother, and I wouldn't tease anyone with such words if they weren't true. I've spun many lies in my time, but I would never -ever- say something so cruel if it wasn't true." She shook her head. "If you're not going to help me, just say it, Wanda. But if it was your brother, you'd want to find a way to help him as well." Appealing to her as a human being wouldn't work.
Wanda had grown to be cold, and bitter, which was unfortunate, but inevitable considering her father's disdain for.. well.. everything that wasn't mutant. However, perhaps appealing to her as a sister, who had a brother in need, would do the trick. All she wanted was to make sure it was the truth. She wanted to see if Charles was alive, and she wouldn't rest until she knew the truth.

"Tell me what you know about Charles." Wanda demanded. Yes she had grown bitter, unrequited love, romantic and filial would do that to the best of women. "And maybe i'll help you." She couldnt help the cruel smile "After all Magneto." again the alias hissed out. "Doesnt care if you live or die now that you are merely human." she chuckled at the wonderful irony, the two most militant, prideful mutants were the ones that fell under the 'cure'.
As a brother...she suppressed the eyeroll she would help Raven for Charles sake assuming she was telling the truth, and NOT because she thought of him like a brother.

Raven hoped that because Wanda did have a brother, that she would understand. However, she seemed to only care about Charles. Appealing to her from one person with a brother to another didn't seem to work. However, she didn't know about Wanda's relationship with Peter, and so she pushed it aside.
"All I know is that they've taken him to a secret facility. I've been there.. I disguised myself as a nurse. I've been visiting him. I can't tell you where he is.. not even his x-men know about it. However, he is alive.. and he's growing stronger every day. With the antidote for the cure, I can keep a much closer eye on him. Maybe even find out who took him there in the first place. I would be lying if I said I didn't miss my powers.. but I need them. For Charles."

Wanda knew Raven had been talking about Peter but...she hadnt seen him in years, reminding her of that was simply painful. "You arent a doctor." she said subtlety remind Raven that she was. "Even if you get in...besides body-guarding him what can you do?" She said raising her eyebrows. "You will not even know if its safe to move him." Wanda ran a finger over the lip of her glass thoughtfully, "You have rarely lied to me." she quirked a smile remembering the times Raven HAD done so. "Its been a while since i have done an exfiltration..." she hinted. Scarlet sparks flicking over her finger tips as she probed Mystique's body with her mutation looking for the weakness.
"Take me with you, and I'll give you a cure." she said at last. Wanda half wondered why she didnt tell the remain X-men but the answer was clear even if they believed her, Raven didnt trust them.

The Scarlet Witch. She drove a hard bargain. It was a choice that Raven would have to make.. the cure, or keeping the place Charles was a secret. "...I can't do that." She shook her head solemnly. "I'd rather stay in this disgusting human body until it withers and dies than put Charles in any sort of danger. Don't feel bad. It's not just you that I don't trust.. it's everyone." She stood from the table she had been sitting at, and she smoothed down her white dress that clung to her thighs. "If I tell you.. chances of him being found can grow. He needs time, and I intend on keeping the secret."

Wanda frowned "Have I ever put Charles in danger." the emphasis was clear, that Raven had over and over. "and if you die in that body, what happens to him?" She shook her head, fingers curving through the air. "I want to help rescue him. Let me." her eyes unfocused. "I can see it Raven, so simple to return you back to Mystique Back to someone father loves."
Wanda had spent so many years between both the X-men and the Brotherhood, helping both but remaining neutral. But she ALWAYS came to save her Father or Charles.

"I know, Wanda," she breathed. "I know. But the way you're hanging information over my head makes me wonder about your motives. And i'm fairly certain that you could say the same about me. The truth is, you and I are both bitter, and angry at the world. And this conversation is going to lead the two of us to nothing but an argument. One that I don't want to deal with right now. We were friends once, Wanda. What happened to that time?"
When she spoke of Mystique returning to the form that Magneto had loved, it caused her to wince inwardly. She cleared her throat and shook her head. "I would be lying if I said that I don't want to return to the Brotherhood." She said simply without giving any further pleas. She took a seat again, not wanting to cause a scene. She was about to speak again, but she happened to glance down at her hand which for a brief moment, started to turn blue. A small gasp was caught in her throat, and she was about to say something, but it went as quickly as it came. "Do you think..that the cure is temporary by any chance?"

Wanda winced when Raven referenced their old friendship, she always wanted to go back to that but like Raven said both of them had grown suspicious and bitter. Year, secrets....all stood between them. "Im holding it over you BECAUSE I know if I just cure you, I'll not see you again until you need something from me." she answered Raven's question. She placed a hand over Raven's as it shifted hues. "Its a broken thing." she said quietly seeing the threads of fate. "Easily could have killed as cured." she sighed to tell her the truth or not? "It only suppresses." she said at last.
Wand sighed to herself sure now that Raven would leave, and she would be wandering again looking for a home. And trying to find Charles.

When she felt Wanda's hand over her's, it made her sad. Perhaps being in the body of a human was bringing her back to her human emotions. Regretting how things were now between her and Wanda. She wished things were the same as they were when they were younger, and more free, but things were quite different now.
However, when Wanda's words clicked in her mind, Raven's eyes widened. "Wanda," she breathed. "Do you know what this means? Every mutant that was inflicted with the cure.. they can become like themselves again!" She closed her eyes an inhaled a sharp, happy breath before exhaling slowly. Her eyes met Wanda's again, and she glanced down at her tea cup. "I'm not going to run off." She mused. "Not yet. I'll only leave once the cure takes effect again. Wanda.. why don't you come with me? Come back to the Brotherhood. Once your father is back to normal again, back to being himself, I know he'll start it once more."

"Do you know what this means? Every mutant that was inflicted with the cure.. they can become like themselves again!" Wanda sighed, she never understood that. For her with or with out her powers she was still herself. They didn't define her personality or dreams. They made her life eaiser, a tool but nothing more.
"I'm not going to run off." "Not yet. I'll only leave once the cure takes effect again. Wanda.. why don't you come with me?" Wanda's heart leap, Perhaps Raven WAS going to try and live a normal life? Help her find Charles? She started to smile, hope springing eternally.
"Come back to the Brotherhood. Once your father is back to normal again, back to being himself, I know he'll start it once more." The nacent smile dropped off her face, hope crushed again. Wanda frowned hating that Raven was right. "He IS himself all that is missing is his powers, not his emotions!" it was an old fight. She shook her head, "I cant believe you would go back, after what he did. To you, to Charles, to us all." The world had only gotten harder on mutants since San Fransisco.

She knew that Wanda wouldn't understand. No one could, and that's why Mystique was mostly alone. "I wish it was easy to explain, but unfortunately it's not. No one can understand how important Magneto is to me. If it was not for him, I would still be living in confinement and in fear of the outside world. It was he, who taught me to be myself. To no longer live with a shadow of doom over my head." She paused and cleared her throat once more.
"As for the things that he and Charles have done to each other... as I've said before. If I could have, I would have stopped it. But their beliefs are far too different. Perhaps that's why they've stayed close for so long, even though they're enemies. Because they're two sides of the same puzzle. And I, am stuck in the middle of that puzzle, doing only what I feel is necessary to my continued existence. As cruel as it sounds..that is all that I can do for them both at this point. Survive."

Wanda's mouth twisted at the reminder that Raven had been between the two men almost as long as Wanda had been alive. Wanda knew for Raven and other mutants like her whose mutations were unhideable the world was an even scarier place then for ones like Wanda.
She sighed deeper "I always admired your pride in yourself.'" that was true, she just didnt take it too the next level that Erik and she had where that pride meant that they were better then the rest of humanity. That was why she gravitated more to Charles's side of co-existence, "Come on." she said shortly dropping a twenty on the table to cover both of their drinks, "I have a room nearby."
A tiny smile quirked her mouth, remembering their first meeting where she thought Raven was requesting her 'company'.

Raven nodded, agreeing to join Wanda for a short time longer. Of course, once her powers started to come back full on, she'd have to leave. It was then time to go to Charles. Not to mention, she had other loose strings that needed to be tied quickly. She rose from her seat, and followed Wanda. She was unsure as to what to say. So much had changed between the two women. It had been a very long time, and there was quite a lot of drama that had gone on that put a rift between them. Perhaps it would have been different if Wanda had not been Magneto's daughter. Should she have just been some random mutant, like she was when they first met, things would have been different. But alas, that was not the case.
"I wish things were different between us, Wanda." She admitted. "Unfortunately, I don't think things will ever be quite the same as they were when we were young." Yes, Raven did still look young, but she felt like she had lived several lifetimes. Especially now that her humanity was catching up with her while she was still like.. This. In this human body.

Wanda shook her head "Just be quiet, Mystique." she muttered breathing in the night air. She lead Raven up to the small apartment she kept in the city, one of several around the world. "I never understood why you and my father couldn't trust me. Yes we dont see eye to eye but." she unlocked the door. "I never betrayed either of you, not any of your secrets. Even when I should have." she said quietly gesturing at the sofa. "Still drink tea?" she asked putting the kettle on. "I studied the 'cure'" she snorted, "I know more or less how it was made, what it does. I was worried, rightfully so that it would kill mutants who needed their mutations to live." she said putting the tea into steep. "So I reached out." she wiggled her fingers. "The probability of failure in most of the batches was quite high after six months." she said very quietly "Put me in a coma for two weeks to do it."
Wanda handed Raven the tea. "I always worked to protect people like us." she finished "You and father just never believed me."

Raven followed Wanda, listening to her as she spoke. The girl had a lot of anger issues, and although Raven felt bad for how things went with her and Magneto, she had no idea how to offer words of comfort. "Your father and I both have trust issues.. I'm sorry for how things are between you and him. But that part is none of my business." She never got between the matters of Magneto and his children. "And as you know, if you don't fight for Magneto's beliefs, then you're not part of his army. If you're not one hundred percent with him, you're against him. It's the hard truth, and yet I fear you still can't see it."
When Wanda offered her tea, Raven shook her head. "No, thank you." She was suddenly not thirsty. She was regaining her powers and it was something that had her attention. Still though, she continued to speak to the woman. "I doubt that the two of you will ever reconcile. And I wish that was not the case.. but that is how the world works. Every one of us knows that life is simply unfair."
