Lorna had left home a few years ago, when she was too young to really leave. She'd been knocked around enough to know she rather have the world knock her around then her father. He didn't like the idea that she wasn't his real daughter, and then when he found out she was a mutant, he thought that he could beat her into not being a mutant. She hadn't been strong enough to stop him, but she had been to strong enough to leave and never look back.
She'd found other mutants to hang out with, but they were more around each other then there for each other. Lorna was the youngest int he make shift group, but she was by far the strongest. Both in personality and in powers. Lorna had the mindset that if she was the strongest, no one like her Dad would hurt her again.
She had short black hair, that died to cover the green her powers made her powers turn. She was trying to blend in without giving up who she was. Turning the corner, Lorna looked behind her before going deeper down the ally. Right before she got to the small abandoned building she noticed someone new was there. Pausing Lorna drew up taller to make herself look older. "Hey! Who are you?" She called out, trying to sound tough and not like a kid.

Blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'5"- not at all intimidating, and, as an added benefit for the shapeshifter... It was quite similar to the form she tended to favour. It was, after all, the face the mutant had used to grow up as Charles's sister. A normal girl who came from a well off family, despite the fact the parents were distant. However, that worked out for the better. Even with just a slightly annoying older brother. May the annoyance be in his overprotectiveness or not.
As for now, the girl she had been waiting for took note of who was waiting. This young mutant was the main reason she was here. Sure Raven often found herself in strange places mutants found an escape from humans in, but this group of strays? Not typically her cup of tea. More often than not, she worked the tougher jobs. The ones where the shapeshifter had to break a mutant out or something of that sort. Popping in to speak to some kids about joining the Brotherhood? That was completely different. But not something she wouldn't do.
"Kate," The lie slipped from her lips as if it was nothing, the blonde stepping into the light to show a hand. The shapeshifter had given herself webbing between her fingers, revealing the truth that she was also a mutant, but hiding her real skill. "I heard you were one of us,"

Kate. Heard she was one of them. HEARD?! WHO THE HELL WAS TALKING ABOUT HER?! Lorna sifted her weight not liking that idea, and felt her breathing deepen as her body tried to decide between fight or flight. Then the girl showed her webbed fingers. Lorna shifted her weight again, trying to decide if she was staying or checking out. On one hand--ANOTHER MUTANT! and on the other--word of mouth meant others could find her. And she didn't know how she liked that. Getting known got you killed . . . . right? That Magneto guy had got known and now NO ONE knew where to find him.
"Yeah," she said, still trying to keep her voice from giving away that she wasn't confidant right now. Though web fingers seemed like a lame ass power. She could take her if push came to shove. "You here to join us then?" She asked, knowing that out of the few mutants here her powers and attitude made her one of the stronger ones so she called herself the leader--she didn't know if the others agreed or not, but no one stopped her so maybe that was how you were a leader. Her brother might have been the telepath, but one didn't need to have his abilities in order to read people. Raven had danced this game enough time to know how to read every little tick a person had. She was so good at it that she was even able to pick up what a person might not be showing!
And right now? Right now, the mutant before her was more than upset with the truth she had just learnt. If one person knew about them, how really hidden were they? Of course, the shapeshifter knew it was nothing to worry about in Lorna's case. After all, it took Raven a while to find the information herself, but she wasn't in a place where she could offer such comfort. Well, more so than what she had already planned to give, anyways.
"If I may," Raven stepped over, "I may not be a fighter, but I have other skills. I'm pretty good at finding information out, if you couldn't tell."

Kate said she was good at finding things out, and Lorna didn't know what that meant but she had enough of an ego to be alright with it. Kate said she wasn't strong, and Lorna could deal with that. She was strong--enough. While she wasn't gunho about protecting the weak, she wasn't opposed to a reason fight. "Yeah, Kate, good job." Lorna said sarcastically at Kate's ability to find her. Not really upset by it, but still a little uneasy and trying to hide it under the sarcasm. It was her defense.
"I'm Lorna." Which Kate should already know. Mutant names were hard to test out, and while she wanted to use one she hadn't found one she liked enough to make it stick. Sometimes they came out silly sounding or like someone was trying too hard. She wasn't ready to commit to one. "What is your powers?" She asked curious, trying to see why Kate had webs. Did she swim? They weren't near much water, but that didn't mean anything. Lakes and rivers were everywhere just outside the city. TAG: Mystique
